R3 with exhaust and air filter actual speed without speedo error is 175 vs Aprilia with exhaust, rev limiter removed and air filter installed will be 200+, By far Aprilia has killed all their rivals with slingshot!! 🔥
Not 175. It beats ktm RC 390 in stock which hits 180 kmph. There is speedo error but definitely not over exaggerated as you said. If it's 196 kmph on speedo then it's easily 185kmph. Also it depends on the speedo wire condition also, I've seen bajaj bikes have higher speedo error, I was doing 142 kmph on my bike while I overtook a ns200 of a friend. He said he was at 150 kmph. So many factors for speedo error, it's not consistent.
@@abhishek3398 I said 175 kmph because I've seen drag race video of Ayush Verma doing it with R3 vs Ninja 400, Where R3 was at 193kmph and Ninja 400 overtakes it at 179kmph, So theres the difference. And Rc doesnt hit !80 on gps come on It cuts off at 174 to 178.
@@jeetendrad1309but r3 can hit 199 on spedo with 10 spedo error can go 185 to 190 and also spedo will not be constan and varies on bike to bike based on tyre size and sprocket changes done . We don't know whether asyu tested bikes is stock or not .. still r3 can do around 185 plus on gps
@@HARISH_19_97 It was the same mods as Ranjan bro bike, Yamaha has crazy speedo error, My friend r15 showed 158kmph as my Bmw gs g10 was 140 when we were at same speed, Just imagine the difference, I'm not saying R3 is bad, I was a R3 fanboy so are most of us.
@jeetendrad1309 again I'm going to say it. There are many factors for speedo errors, there are R3s which are having a speedo error of just 10 and then there are few with speedo error of 15 - 20 kmph. It depends on fuel load for the weight, lighter bike will have high drag if the air isnt converted to generate downforce or if its not aerodynamic to cut through it, if drag is high, your wheel speed is that of 195 but the drag doesn't let you go faster, another factor is bigger tyre size, wrong sensor positioning near the abs ring. So what I'm saying is it's different from vehicle to vehicle even if they are the same make.
By the time this motorcle is released in the United States, i'm probably going to be fluent in Hindi from watching every 457 video i can find 😆

We thought Aprilia was sleeping... but we were so wrong, they were watching, observing very carefully, and sinisterly took the plunge and launched this. Aprilia an ADV based on the same engine? You can do do it..
Why not, now they should try to put the same engine in all sorts of frames viz. Roadster, scrambler, ADV for sure...
Yamaha R3 it's a CBU, if it was manufactured in India then R3 price would be less than 3 lakhs I suppose, but RS 457 being built in India RS 457 is a bomb vehicle for it's price.. Based on price only R3 is a rival for 457, but performance and specification wise they are not rivals.

Not really but considering cbu has 80 - 100% taxation yamaha is selling it at very low margins, so considering that yea the actual manufacturing price is close to 3 lakhs. Blame the government, the machine is awesome for a 321cc.
R15 on road price in india 2.25 lakhs and R3 under 3 lakhs I don't think so😑

Rpm stops at around 10k, i think its because of new bike. Maybe after 2k to 3k km the rev limiter will be removed and bike goes 200+. Maybe after first service

1 negative i think is the longevity of the bike. the engine is the stressed component of the chassis which means the chassis is directly bolted to the engine. so more chance of engine case getting cracked if you over stress it.
true we cannot say rn how the reliability is but its a downside of these type of chasis.

I took a test ride in Hyderabad and the gear box was super cluncky. The shifts were very hard and it always went to neutral from 1st instead of 2nd.
Also the clutch had to be released almost full to move the bike ahead.. did u face anything like this in test bike?

the europeans are showing the way for the indian market, where the Japanese are hesitating. the fact that the r3 and ninja 400 (and now 500) are so exorbitantly priced in the indian market (4.6 and 5.6 lakh respectively), and they BARELY come with any half-decent features, while KTM and Aprilia are packing their sports-bikes with tons of equipment, while still being significantly cheaper than any similarly specced offering from the big 4 (Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki), shows how badly all the Japanese manufacturers are messing up their india strategy. They seriously need to go back to the drawing board, and start designing more comprehensive and competitive products for not just the indian, but the global market.

Too much hype, when Triumph can make bike at 2.4 Lakh, worst case RS457 should have not crossed 3.7Lakh. R3 launched at3.25 Lakh in 2015 though manufactured outside India. Its price let down its sales. RS457 is overpriced in my opinion. Triumph speed400 is a steal for 2.3 Lakh does 180 speed and its quite quick. Interesting to see RS457 sales once hype dies.
