2 Rescued from Sinking Ship

A POV video of a Coast Guard aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Astoria rescuing 2 Canadian men from a sinking sailing vessel, 80 miles offshore of Neah Bay, WA, Oct. 10, 2023.
Both men were reported to be in stable condition.

As the Rescue swimmer is going down or coming up, it looks like he can use his fins in the rotor wash to keep himself from rotating. 🤙🏼

hard to say really. the winds coming from the wash are pretty powerful. if it was a smaller helicopter, then maybe. a Jayhawk is a pretty decent-sized helicopter.
