Supergrass is so underrated. Saw them live last year and they still sound amazing. Glad you legends are giving them a listen.

A great band who could mix pop, rock and all different styles to great effect. Taylor Hawkins was a huge fan after they supported the Foo Fighters on an early tour and they performed at the Wembley tribute concert this autumn. Richard III, Caught By The Fuzz, Alright and so many other great tracks.
'Moving' was written about the monotony of being on tour and the dull routine.

This album brings back so many great memories of 1997. I played this CD in my car constantly driving around west Scotland.

Supergrass are one of those 90s bands I was aware of at the time but didn't follow closely. I'm going with Moving here, love a good switch-up and that 'caught me off guard' as they say.

Got to sit on the fence with this battle, really like both songs equally. I'm only familiar with the first album ( 'Time' is another good track) and some of the singles.

Hay guys do you believe in karma? Last Thursday morning about 2am i was driving home from work and about 30 kms south of my place out in the boondocks is a little old hatchback with it's hazard lights flashing and the bonnet (hood) up i pulled in behind the car grabbed my spot light and walked up it had a 17 year old Maori boy in the driver's seat his twin sister next to him and their younger sister in the back. They had been sitting there for hour's out of gas and no cell service and also needed water for the radiator. I told the brother to jump in the van and the sisters to keep the inside light off and don't open the door or windows for any one see you soon. Off we go stop at my place about ten minutes later get fuel can drive to town and back to their car took about 45/55 minutes and cost me my last $17 but they texted me in the morning thanking me for helping them get home. On Saturday night i pulled in to a gas station in west Auckland and there was a pretty tired looking old Subaru parked by the front doors and a cardboard sign on the hood stranded could anyone please help us with some petrol? It was around midnight i walked over and tapped on the side window the old Maori couple were startled and then see a white guy with tattoos everywhere and a blue Mohawk and were startled again. I told them to pull up to a pump and payed $30 to get them home. So here's the karma part today i went and saw my osteopath/ acupuncturist $75 but we were talking about my random gas story you just got and he told me he and his wife had just seen a movie called paying it forward? I think he said it was called. I'm at the reception about to swipe my card and Phil pop's his head out of his office and say's it's on the house I'm paying it forward for the gas you gave people!.
THE LESSON IS DON'T HELP PEOPLE EXPECTING A REWARD OR THEM PAYING YOU BACK SOMEHOW DO IT BECAUSE YOU CAN NO OTHER REASON JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN AND IT WILL FIND IT'S WAY BACK TO YOU FROM WHO KNOWS WERE OR WHO.
BLA BLA BLA RANT RANT BLA BLA RANT BLA,🥱🥱😴😴😴😴

This is a really tough one as these are two of my favourite Supergrass songs. I think Moving probably edges it, but In It For The Money is the better album for me, it’s a fantastic album.

Completely agree with this. To me the third (self-titled) album is nowhere *near* as good as In It For The Money. But Moving is an absolute stunner. The opening has such gorgeous chord changes (as many of their songs do), and when the rest of the song kicks in, it *really* kicks in. Such a great band, excellent musicans without being at all showoffy. And of course Gaz Coombes (pronounced Kooms btw!) is a damn fine singer.

Absolutely love Supergrass. It's a pity they split up. Both of these songs are great, but my vote goes to "Moving".

@@ReactionsToTheClassics gotta do what ya gotta do axle rose is in my sight's as well someone who i avoid listening to as much as possible he is an arrogant narcissist who i saw on their appetite for destruction tour in the eighties and like the other 8.000 people who were there spent about an hour or so waiting for him to stop being a brat and do what we payed good money to see and do the show not walking off back stage because he got called out by some one in the crowd for being a douchebag which he WAS!

Axl is all time miserable human being, at least on the short list. Absolutely singlehandley cost GNR a fortune by his delaying things, being difficult and in general just being the D bag that he is!!

@@ReactionsToTheClassics yeah it's unreal how they rock/movie star's think they are better than Joe/Joe Ann public without whom they are nothing . One of the reasons why i really respect most of the punk Ska and Reggae bands i see ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL as it should be
