Brian Williams had his ups and downs but I miss his voice at night.
That, there, is journalism personified. Happy anniversary, Lester, José and Kate... plus Tom, Brian, Garrick, John, Chet, David, Roger (whom I share a birthday with), and the rest of the people that have kept that Peacock's feathers full of intelligence-as well as beauty-all through these 75 years.

Listening to Lester Holt's voice saying, "Take care of yourselves and each other" makes me think of America's TV dad who's there to tuck me in for bedtime and tell me "Goodnight" the nation will be alright.
Happy 75th Nightly News! Tom Brokaw will always be the best. I love Huntley & Brinkley and John Chancellor from before I was born. Love the Henry Mancini theme from the late 70s.
Please release the news from 75 years ago! That's like watching a history book.
It's wild. I see the point where my dad stopped producing and my mother started directing. Most of you will think I'm insane for that statement but anyone over at NBC who knows their history will know what child I am.

I can't comment on the quality of the journalism but I will say that NBC has close to the best theme music of any TV news broadcast out there (although it helps if you have one of the greatest composers in the history of film making write your theme...)
Lester is the best in the business. Also, I really like José Díaz-Balart! I caught up with him on Facebook, and told him, "No sir. The privilege is MINE!" He actually ANSWERED MY FB POST. It meant a lot to this lifelong News Junkie.❤

Bruh nbc was made in 1926 which means it’s actually 97 years old in 2023
NBC has produced a nightly newscast on TV since 1948, which makes it 75 years old back in 2023. It wasn’t called NBC Nightly News back in 1948.
