Ok so I've been doing more of the light and fluffy songs recently so I wanted to mix it up a little. I was given the suggestion of doing an INXS song and I was a bit indifferent about that. Though the idea has grown on me.
I then thought, Adam Ant. Then I was indifferent about that. Then it hit me, that snarly faced, blonde hair rock/pop artist Billy Idol. He's got so many good songs to choose from too! I could decide between Rebel Yell, Mony Mony or White Wedding so there's a good chance I'll do the whole three. We'll see how it goes.
I hope you enjoy.

This is awesome. Billy Idol looks like Link out clubbing.
...Or maybe Link out clubbing looks like Billy Idol! Hahahaha
awesome
Thanks, bud. Glad you like it. :)
Sounds a bit like A-ha this way somehow . Oh and it is very good!
Well wait until I do A-ha, it's gonna sound like Limahl! LMAO!
Awesome! :D
HAHA! Thanks man, much appreciated.
Pretty cool cover! :) Which tracker are you using?
MotionRide Music Hey there, thanks mate. I appreciate the comment. I do the sound and phrase design in my own C64 music driver (zblex-v6) and until about three or four sounds ago I was flying the phrases together in Renoise. Renoise is amazing and competes with more traditional DAW's head-on. However I found that it's a bit lacking in terms of time stretching which is something I need to do quite often to get the vocals to fit the music. I've since moved on to Tracktion Waveform 9 as the DAW to glue it all together. It's brilliant! Like Renoise, it runs natively under Linux so I get to stay in my environment of choice.
Nice! Renoise is my main DAW/Tracker but I'll have to check out this Tracktion Waveform since I'm thinking of making a rock cover of one of Katy Perry's song with the original vocals. :)
Yeah, Like I say, as good as Renoise is, its starting to show its age and limitations for me. I'm a bit of a Katy Perry fan so can you please keep me posted on the rock version of the song you are doing? I wanna hear it.
Sure. I don't know exactly when I'll start making it because May and June are quite busy months for me when it comes to making stuff for local demoscene but I'm sure it'll be ready sometime in July. I'm thinking of covering "Chained to the Rhythm". :)
