I would be prepared to get wet. So either you'll be going in the pool (and can plan accordingly) OR sometimes you'll get some bubbles/water/ wet people bumping into you. haha! If you are worried about getting something damaged when wet, I'd avoid it :) Also wear good shoes because it gets slippery quick
Shows were good, hopefully you got to see that in my video a bit haha. I would say above average for an all inclusive. Lots of interactive games before the shows too (which were so much fun!) The room was okay. Nothing to complain about (...and I am picky haha). We did have 2 nights were there was no hot water, but I think it was a fluke and not a common issue. Anything you need more within the room, they provide pretty quickly (ie extra towels/soap/etc). As for how to get around places, there are tons of help desks that can guide you to where you need to go :)
No problem. Ask me anything! The speciality restaurants are INCLUDED but it's first come first served entry--- meaning you may not get in if you don't line up REALLY early. Does that make sense? :) Let me know!
Yes, but there were some restrictions with this particular one. Like you can go and visit but you couldn't eat over there (or something like that, I can't remember exactly). We planned to tour the others but in the end we just used their beaches and didn't go explore the resort. But if you booked via the other hotels you had all inclusive access to all 3. Just double check that online in case rules have changed. Hope that helps and have fun!
I believe I brought around $200 cash but pretty much everywhere takes credit cards. In my experience if you have cash you can negotiate a bit more but either way both will work :) Have fun!
Omg …. I had so much fun and I’m ready to book again. This review is spot on. Even in late April it does get cold very cold in the evening. We were in building 7 which was a great location.
@@ebonyallen9499 Oh yay!! I knew you'd have a blast. I want to go back too haha! Did you end up getting into/trying out all the "speciality restaurants"?
If you choose to stay at the Riu Santa Fe, it's only all inclusive for the Riu Santa Fe Hotel. You can visit the other nearby hotels but there are limitations. The rules may change but that was my experience from a few months ago :)
Olivia, I am considering staying at the RIU PALACE BAJA CALIFORNIA, which is an "Adults Only" all-inclusive. However, I just checked rates for May 2024 and they are considerably higher (Almost $300.00 per night for a Single Adult being charged Double Occupancy ) .... than the RIU Santa Fe. QUESTION: Do you think the additional cost is worth it?? Thanks in advance.
I personally really enjoyed my time at the Riu Santa Fe so I would not have paid more to be in an Adults Only resort. The resort is huge and I think you'll be more than okay. But ultimately that's up to you. Either way you'll have a blast
This was my first time in a long time back at an all inclusive and I personally loved the food. I have been to resorts where I just ate the same thing day in and day out but here it wasn't the case! So my personal opinion on food is that it's amazing here. All depends on your expectations though haha As for the resort being a CRAZY party- I mean there are areas where it was but that was in a particular section of the resort and overall lots of families were around and they manage the noise by cutting the parties off at the designated hours.
What other excursions did they have at the marina? I’m going in March & you said it’s better to book at the marina rather than the hotel. Please tell me the other excursions & where at the marina can I book them?
Hey!! Oh you're going to have so much fun!! Keep in mind that I went a year ago so I don't remember all the details (esp on excursions) but when you go to the hotel they will be showing you all the available excursions. It's at this point where you will know what to look for when you get to the marina....because it's exactly the same haha!
Also at the marina you wont be able to miss them. 80% of the time people will come up to you telling you about the excursions. So just ask 2-3 people and go with the best deal. Just make sure they are with a "company" so it's legit. One of the ones we booked had a office in the marina mall (but I can't remember any names at this point). Don't rush, take your time deciding and bargain.
@@OliviaG Hi girl! Loved your video .. I have questions about the excursions .. this might come across wrong but in not way do I mean it in a negative way but, .... how do you know which excursion to pick and choose from mainly based on safety? I know theres a whole bunch but how were u confident to choose one over the other .
@@hillarypham4409 hey hey!! I'm still gonna stand with my last comment from 2 months ago and encourage you to go with a "company" so it's legit VS just people on the side selling tickets. You'll be able to tell the difference with their uniforms and brochures. As for which one to pick, it's up to you. It's helpful when you go to the resort to ask around what other people have done and this way you get a first hand RECENT experience. As for safety, I hear you but I was travelling with my bf (who's Mexican) so I didn't worry about that part haha so I may not be the best person to advise on that end. I let him lead and I'm not sure what his thought process was as he was communicating in Spanish.
You saw everything that we had ahaha! The washroom was fine and then there's the bed! No TV, no major view from our room. Plus every other video that talks about this resort online has an extensive room tour :)
This is primarily a family resort (if I had to categorize it) so you should look into the other 2 Riu's that are literally right next door. Santa Fe has a great party section, but outside of those parties it's quite mellow (from what I observed). If you book with the other Riu you will still have access to the party zone here at this resort too. Kind of like an all access pass. Whereas, if you book your stay at the Santa Fe then you won't have access to the other Riu's. I'm pretty sure one of them is adults only too. Worth looking into. Hope that helps!
That's funny but I enjoyed it. My dad went to costa rica during the same time I went to CABO (and he stayed at the RIU too) and the room layouts were pretty much the same too! haha
Thanks. I'm going in a few weeks. This was the review I was looking for. The cad conversation especially
Yay!!! Have the best time ever. Can't wait to hear about it
Loved this video! I’m going to Cabo at the end of this week and I learned some useful tips from you that I hadn’t heard yet so thank you :)
Yay!! I'm so glad. Thanks for being here and commenting too :)
This just came in time!! Thank you for the detailed tour as I'm visiting the same hotel soon. Thank you!!
Woohoo! how was it?
Wow! This is the perfect timing for this video to come out. I'm going to be at this resort in early June. Thank you so much!
Oh yay!! You're going to have a blast.
We go in every year in June and the beach is definitely swimmable
Will be there in Feb 24. Thanks for the tour
oh yay!! you're gonna love it!
When are you off to Cabo? Have the best time ever :)
Thank you. That was a great review
For sure! When are you going? :)
I am glad you showed the GYM, often overlook by many
It's nice to see all aspects of the resort, isn't it? And this gym was gorgeous!! :)
Thank you
You're so welcome!
Great video! Is the resort kid friendly?
Thank you! Yes, it's very kid friendly :)
For the neon party should you look nice or dress to be in the pool.

I need to know if there's shows ,how's the room cleanliness, and how to get to the main cabo Scooby-Doo cave

Are you able to go to the other Riu Hotels with the all-inclusive package?
Yes, but there were some restrictions with this particular one. Like you can go and visit but you couldn't eat over there (or something like that, I can't remember exactly). Are food and drinks free EVERYWHERE on the resort? Even in the nightclub and party area?
YES!~ And of course there are always options where you can "buy extra" aka special liquor but we never did/nor felt the need to ask :)
How much cash should you bring? Can you use credit cards down at the Marina/to book excursions? Thanks!
I believe I brought around $200 cash but pretty much everywhere takes credit cards. In my experience if you have cash you can negotiate a bit more but either way both will work :) Have fun!
I'm headed there tomorrow and some what nervous because of the reviews online

Are there swimmable beaches nearby?
Oh gosh I wish I had a direct answer here. We stayed at the pools to swim and you can do day trips to get to a beach- but it'll cost you to get there
What building number is the party building
Hey! It's in and around Villa 9 (where I stayed) haha good luck

I'm in Canada so we paid in Canadian dollars/currency :)

I'm sure they do but I don't necessary drink much so I didn't ask :)

Yes the food is free and included with your hotel stay. That's why it's amazing!

They definitely are not the same food depending on what country you go too
