  • The McCarty family of guitars are born from passion and precision: built passionately to embody vintage tone while utilizing the precision of PRS's modern manufacturing techniques. The McCarty 594 Singlecut joins that tradition with a familiar feel and warm, vintage tone. Meticulously spec'd with a 24.594" scale length, Pattern Vintage neck carve, a slightly thicker back for enhanced tone and sustain, 58/15 LT pickups, tweaked Phase III locking tuners with modified collars and set screws, and a two-piece zinc bridge with brass saddles and studs, the McCarty Singlecut 594 gives musicians the keys to the esteemed tones of vintage guitars in an instrument that won't fail them.
    Watch along as product specialist Bryan Ewald dives into all the specs and demos the tonal character of this guitar.

    The modern play-ability and tone are surely impeccable. I have yet to own a 594. I have many other Core models, but I am certain it's everything I wanted my Les Pauls to be. I bought every single PRS I have ever owned sight unseen via the web. Every one of them are exceptional guitars. 513, Custom 24 (My first in 1999), SC245, Private stock Custom 22, and MCCarty Gold w/p90's. There is a reason PRS is coming on strong. Their instruments are a testament to an engineering, design, and production staff with an eye for detail and quality.
    Not an endorsee, just a man who is very passionate about the way these instruments make me feel. Good luck in your search!

    I want to imagine that my man Brian’s left thumb has blisters on it from chopping wood to build a log cabin or re-roofing a house or something. Coolest guitar demos. Love my SC245 (the precursor to the 594)

    Great demo playing, and awesome looking and sounding guitar. But wondering if i am the only one who couldn’t hear a whole hill of beans difference in the sound of any of the middle position coil split tones. Listening with headphones even and was surprised at how little difference I heard. I ended up going Tremonti a few years back b/c of the simplicity of the switching options: treble, middle, and bass…and that’s it! Sure, there are somedays I daydream of having one that is maybe a little more versatile perhaps vs. a metal/hard rock machine, but then I think about push/pulling knobs and having to think about what knob does which pickup and I’m right back to being happy with the simplicity of the Tremonti. 😂

    • @mikeomatic9905
      @mikeomatic9905 4 місяці тому

      I have a Core SC594. In the middle position, splitting just the bridge pickup doesn’t change the sound too much. But splitting the neck pickup is quite different, and splitting both gives a nice acoustic-ish sound. (Obviously it’s not like an acoustic, but I find it’s great for strumming.)

    • @karabinerstudios
      @karabinerstudios 4 місяці тому

      In the middle position, splitting the treble pickup had the least amount of change to me, but I could still hear it. The others were much more obvious.

      I own guitars from many brands, and I love them all for what they are. I have been involved with guitars and things around them for decades. One thing I can tell you is that with 100% certainty, PRS and Paul himself are the most innovative and progress driving force in the business. For him/them, it is all about how to improve a thing. For example, Gibson can't just change classic models. People would not be happy, and people buy mostly just specific models. I own a very specific LP from Murphy Lab, and I want it period specific. It's an epic, Les Paul. But I own 594 as well. Wood Library series. However, they might or might not sound similar, they play completely differently. Over decades, one gets proficient with an LP and you do not feel any more how bad is ergonomics on it and how often the G string goes out if tune. You play around it and do stuff to make it work. Playing 594 just feels like realizing och that is how this should have been. Seemless, no effort, enjoyment, and ergonomics despite the construction. More details and sweeter. It looks like another instrument in SC form, but it is not an LP. If I want to play LP, my Gibson does that genuinely. Can 594 fake LP and some single coil guitars? Yes, it can. Does it need to? Nope. It dies its own thing. When you have played it enough, you get it. They are not the copy they are evolution that took it to another place. Different place that earns them right to be there.

      @@NINEWALKING I fully agree. I own one Gibson LP, rest have been sold.. And it s a studio.. A, AAA top rootbeer burst flame top.. It holds tune well for an LP.. It does not hold a candle to PRS tuning stability and intonation.
      people are just assuming PRS is copying Gibson when they only thing the 594 has in common with LP is looks.. Everything else is far differnt, and corrected so many mistakes, example steep bridge angle to nut, strings coming out the nut and sharply curving outward to tuners, the headstock angle being so far bent back..
