Love that you included two soundtracks. This coastal grandmother has a new whole house sound system that she keeps forgetting to put on. I've also been listening to Jon Batiste.
Aww thank you, I hope you enjoy them! Wow, the sound system sounds amazing! I just had a listen to Jon Batiste - what an amazing voice! Thanks for sharing!! 🥰
I think you are Describing my style. I don’t live on the coast ,I live in the mountains in the summer. I have a garden a lot of linen. I read a lot of books in my garden listen to great music.
I've always loved this style, and have been living close to it for 5 years in the countryside of South-West France, stone throw's away from the sea, islands and beaches! Never knew it was called "coastal grandmother" style though, but now as I know I'll be happy to polish it a bit more ;)
I must say I’ve never heard of this term before so I have learnt something new but I love to listen to Ella and Louis or a bit of Billie Holiday when I am cooking in the kitchen XX
Hi Pamela, yes I think it's only been around (under this name) since March this year, so it's a pretty recent trend! Some of the greats there!! Love Ella and Louis!! 😍
New freind here. Your voice is amazing..... Yes, this style is sooo me. I'm a grand mother of 5 and a Texas girl born and raised and I'm all about easy living.
Something's gotta give* Diane Keaton /// It's Complicated* Maryl Streep /// and there's a bit of coastal grandmother style in Something Borrowed. Ginnefer Goodwin/Kate Hudson. But Diane Keaton in Nancy Meyers' Something's Gotta Give, hands down, takes the title of Coastal Grandmother for the win.
Yes, it is a new term for a very old concept! 😄 For clothing, linen shirts, flowy pants in light colours, blues whites and tan, very fresh and summery. Would love to hear any other suggestions or advice that you have, from all your years of practise! 😊
@@HamptonYourHouse French markets always produce good finds but shops just don't seem to get the concept. It's always a search, never easy to find stuff that also isn't made in China. Eumundi Markets, near Noosa, in Queensland is always brilliant.
Oh my! I've been living the Coastal Grandma style for 4 years!
I felt the same way when I heard about it!! 😂 👵💜
Me too :)
Me too! I just realized it the other day when I watched another video. They’re copying me!

Apparently I've been s coastal grandmother way before a Nancy Meyers movie was ever developed...who knew
Add the occasional plaid and it's perfect! 😉
Great idea!! 😊
@@HamptonYourHouse a light summer plaid of course; you know, very light blue, beige and cream? 😉
