great video! this is what exactly I’m looking for a travel vlog.. an honest and straightforward review.. good job and thank you for this helpful information..
great video! I never heard of the garden of the morning calm before this, only Nami island and petit prince..thank you for giving a comperehensive guide on how to get to all places. May I know if you went on a weekday or weekend?
Hi there, your videos are interesting. Next month I planned to go petite france from Nami Island by Gapyeong Tour Bus. May I know how to go back from Petite France back to Myeongdong?
Hi! when was this video taken? Im going in september 20 and will be traveling light, I am confuse if I should bring a padded jacket or just a trench coat when visiting nami. Im from a tropical country so I dont know much for weather changes
It was taken a year ago, on November 4. It was chilly then and i get cold easily. If you come in November I would bring the padded jacket, but in September it's still warm so you can get away with just a trench.
Will there be any foliage by mid-Sept? We are going from Sept 16-26 and I don't leaves have turned by then? :( Also, where should we go during Chuseok? I heard most will be closed during this time.
@sheryl lao, we have the same dilemma. I am going on sept 19 to 25, some people said that it will be business as usual in myeondong and public attractions. The thing about chuseok, it has less people on seoul, more cars and buses and traffic going outside of seoul. Traditional markets may have less people. Thats what other seoulites told me.
I doubt that there will be a ton of foliage at that point - maybe a little bit though. During Chuseok you can still do outdoor activities. we went to Yongsan family park. I believe the museum (National Museum of Korea) on the grounds of Yongsan Family Park is open during most of the holiday (you should look it up to be sure). Most national monuments and museums will be open for most of the time, and also amusement parks like Lotte World will probably be open. I would expect tourist spots like Myeongdong to be open as well.
They say it might be better to travel to the provinces. We plan on going to Busan too so not sure if it would be better to be in Busan by Chuseok or just stay in Seoul given as you mentioned the traffic.
I went in early november - that is usually when gingko leaves are at their peak but I was one week too late. But yes I think the leaves will be red and yellow in October! The gingko leaves tend to change a little later than the maples. :)
Hello! I’d like to ask, if I want to visit Petite France and the garden from Nami, I have to take ferry back from Nami Island first, and then take the bus to Petite?
