I know this is an older video, BUT it is the best Valentines Gnome video I have ever watched. Great tutorial. Thank you. I really feel this is a great tutorial for beginners. I'm just starting to make these little cuties. Thank you so much. It might be an older video, but hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Lol
Really cute! Easiest and best way I have seen to make their arms I especially like how you found everything budget- friendly from the Dollar Store. Thx ❤
Hello Miss Amy just want to let you know that I really enjoyed this tutorial .thank you for doing it on real time, I don’t mind at all if it takes a little longer,so once again a BIG thank you. Sincerely , Connie. You have a good night.i am in UT and it is about 2.35 AM.i am an insomniac cant sleep so here I am watching you. Be happy and safe.Connie
So darn cute. Can I be your new friend.I like to watch and injoyed listening to you as you talked about the video thank you for your tutorial and I'm going to try to make one of my own.I'm 55 and a grandma. Emma granddaughter says she's mine gnome.God Bless You and Stay safe.MeMe
Thank you for this video. Your explanation were very easy to understand. I think I might could make these following your instructions. Until your video, I would not even attempt it. Thank you again. I'm new to your channel. Very glad I found you.
So cute, I have a couple of suggestions. When working the arms I would roll it first right up to almost the end leaving enough out to put the glue then roll to the end. Limit possibility of getting burned. The second tip when you placed the heart, I though you can make it look like a necklace just use those beads glue down The front to make it look like a necklace
@@DIYIsMyHappyPlace I was watching another u tube page as she was making her nomes I just a idea. I've have not seen any other with my idea. So my thought is when you make the arms put maybe some type of bendable material that would be stiff. Like pipe cleaners maybe combine several to make it sturdy attach the arms give it hands pom poms whatever you want. Now have like a circular wood stick if you can create a balloon or find a heart shape something to say like will you be my valentine or whatever. Wrap some valentine ribbon around the wood attach the balloon to the top. Attach to one of the hands and in the other hand get some mini Rose's or whatever flower and glue it to the other hand. Position the arms like he is trying to give them to his sweetie. Then create a female nome and use the two for your decor. Have the female facing him. That would be so cute. I am subscribed to your channel so I would love to see your creation if you di make it. I am going to DT to see what I can find.
Love!❤ If you cut the duster backing with a razor blade or exacto knife , it won't shed or come out ! Don't use scissors, using a blade to cut the backing, even works on faux fur too works perfect !❤TFS!⚘
Great video... for those new DIY's glue mistakes.. hit the cooled glue areas with a heat gun (makes glue globs/strands, disappear or your hair dryer (on HOT) for a few seconds... also softens glue for you to fix your mistakes (been there.. done that).
I love them, will the mice get to the rice? Someone was saying to be careful what I stuff my gnomes with. Thanks for sharing and making this look so easy!
I haven’t had any trouble with mice, but I did learn a truck just to be in the safe side. Add a bay leaf in with the rice. Apparently nice hate the smell and will avoid the rice.

Absolutely, and Saint Patrick’s day and 4th of July and any other holiday that the Dollar Tree dishes out cute little holiday decorations for the embellishments. They have been so well received that it certainly will be my thing. At least for the next year or so.

Hola
So, I'm wondering how you continue to use the same set of knee highs for the nose once you cut off the bottom? Do I put elastics on both ends?
I just wrap it all the way around the ball doubling it over so that both raw edges end up in one spot. Hopefully that makes sense.
Hi, do you use the ankle socks or the mid calf socks? Also I love these gnomes! I'm going to try them!
I have used both, but I used the ankle socks this time around because I wanted the Gnomes to be a little smaller. Good luck!
@@DIYIsMyHappyPlace so it's socks something to weigh it down and cotton to stuff. Gloves/socks pipe cleaners and the elastics right
@@amylloyd5566 I weigh it down with rice and put cotton on the top to form it. Hopefully that makes sense. Full description is in the video. Have a great day!
U can use a chip clip to hold the hat on the nose.
That would be till it dries.
You are so right! Definitely next time that is exactly what I will do. Thank you so much!
You need some of the finger tip silicone protectors for when you hot glue!
PS...they have them at DT.
