[The beginning of a new series] Thank you very much for watching this video! Thanks to all of your help, we are able to start a new series of videos "Kyoto Hidden Gems!" We will be introducing the restaurants, bars, cafes, hotels of Kyoto, that will take you a step deeper into the beautiful and stunning city of Kyoto! I hope you can subscribe to enjoy more content in the future! Thank you again very much!
You and your wife are great parents! Your daughter looks so happy all the time! My wife and I got two boys, a 4 year old and a 6 year old. We know the struggle with being out with kids. Lol. Keep up the great work, bro! This one made me smile.
So happy you've shared this with us! An in-depth look at a special ryokan, an interesting tip about a remarkable place to stay in Kyoto, and a precious opportunity to meet your family - all combine to make this episode especially awesome. I would love to hear more about ryokan history and culture - they are a unique-to-Japan heritage; more than just a mere hotel or bed-and-breakfast. Thank you!
My bf and I always talk about having our honeymoon in Japan and we would love to stay in a ryokan, hopefully one day it will happen after this pandemic is over 😭 you have such a nice and always smiling family! Love all of u and please stay safe ❤️
Hopefully one day my family can take a trip to Japan after all this pandemic is over. My wife and I enjoy all your videos. We are sending our best wishes to you and your family. Thank you for all the things that you share here in UA-cam.
Shogo your family is so beautiful and watching you enjoy your time together is wonderful. I love the respect you show your wife and the affection and care you show your daughter. - Thank you for teaching all of us Westerners about your rich and complex culture.
After sharing your personal story a while back, and seeing how far you have come as a family man with beautiful wife and daughter... I'm more appreciative of all your videos and your shared knowledge 👍
This is a nice place to consider. Kyoto is my planned first stop. Was going to stay someplace else but I'll check this place out too. Good for the price & I am aware of the noise limits in Japan. I'm tall so I'll have to stick with the shower. Arigatogozaimashita.
I love your new series. It was very interesting. Very beautiful. May the owners be successful and mindful of families with small children when need be.
Shogo: Your Vlogs are some of the best I've ever seen on the internet - so clear concise and well organized. Makes me want to be in Japan right now! And Hinata is so darling and charming (just like her mom). Her mom and dad have to be wonderful parents. You are a very fortunate man.
My friend, your wife's constant commentary in the background is fantastic. It's like a cheerful Japanese commercial in the background with you speaking English for some reason. Great video!
A gem indeed. Thank you for sharing it with us. Also I very much appreciate your mindfulness of taller people regarding the bathtubs (being just under two meters tall that is a problem I run into pretty often, sadly.)
Fantastic!!!! i was on vacation in japan in 2017... and now i am dying to come back soon!!! (Stayed in a traditional onsen in Nikko... Best experience ever!!!!) Hope the next time explore kyoto more deeply with your new video series)
I love your content, very informative and useful, also cool video production! Your family is beautiful and I love the fact your daughter's name is Hinata! Keep it up 👌
Can we hear the street noise or is this the ac rumbling? The rotemburo looks like a traditional sake cup. Shogo, I love your channel sky rocketing these days!
Hinata is so precious! My friend and I have been dreaming of visiting Japan together for a joint birthday and our goal is to go to a Ryoukan so this video helps tremendously~
This is a great video, very informative yet entertaining. I am beginning to plan a trip to Kyoto again. Hopefully we can resume traveling again soon. Thank you Shogo for the video.
Hello, pls make more videos about ryokan, especially private ones. I will come with my boyfriend to kyoto, and he has tattoos, so we need private ryokan. I will definitely go for this one.
Love these hidden gems videos! Your family is so sweet! This place looks amazing, if I ever had the money to travel this would be wear I come. The style and atmosphere, all the services, it's just beautiful!
This place looks heavenly, but I don't think I'd be able to go here. ^^'' If I ever go to Japan, I plan to go with my friends and well, one of my friends is 6'9" (205.7 cm), while I myself am 6'1" (185.4 cm), so I don't think either of us will fit in that lovely bath, even with folded legs. xD
Also, one of my favorite travel hobbies is to try my country's cuisine in foreign countries. So I'd have to try and find a good burger or breakfast place in Japan (I'd love to try a Japanese take on U.S. Southern biscuits and gravy). Although, my family largely eats Italian style, so thatd probably work well too. But my main reason for this is to see how the different cultures combine. A Japanese cook making an American style burger would likely include a few of his own flavor palette to it, just as American chefs making Japanese style Ramen tend to fit it more to the American flavor palette.
The front door is locked with with an electromagnet??? That's actually the simplest yet most effective way to lock that style of sliding door. You have to have some crazy alien strength to overpower an electromagnet like that. And I'm sure there's two, one on top and one on bottom. I haven't seen a sliding door with an electromagnet lock in the USA yet!
Weird question: none of my friends in Tokyo do that consistent vocal feedback that your wife does. (うん、うん、うううううん、すごい、うん) Is that more frequent in Kansai than Kanto?
I loved seeing your family actually staying in the ryokan, especially your adorable daughter. If an American stayed there, would there be an English-speaker to talk to on the phone?

Your channel is a gem. High-quality content.
Wholeheartedly agreed!
It really is. Its a shame that good, quality channels like this don't get the love and attention they generally deserve.

Y'all family is so cute 😭

Is that more frequent in Kansai than Kanto?
Thank you for leaving a comment!
I think it would depend on the person...
Because my wife is originally from Fukuoka, and not from Kansai!
Your wife's reactions behind the camera is cute!
I will check this out
Thanks it's so informative and fun .
I loved seeing your family actually staying in the ryokan, especially your adorable daughter. If an American stayed there, would there be an English-speaker to talk to on the phone?
