Catching bass with bluegill is not legal in Florida .
C. M. I live in Georgia. You can use bluegill as bait as long as you catch them on rod and reel.

Hey I live in Priceville, Al... So I fish At Decatur a lot. I was using shrimp Monday of this week. Kind of fishing open water 27 feet of water, bottom fishing, the surface water temp was around 81 degrees. The catfish seemed to be biting slow, almost like nipping at the bait. Times I wasn’t sure to pick the rod up or not. But I landed four or five of them, biggest probably weighed 4 pounds. Man it was fun though. I caught a blue, flathead, and channels. They where slow biting for sure.

I just landed a nice 3 pounder this morning in a canal about 7 miles from my house. Three days ago I landed a 4 and a half pounder. Im pumped because nobody knows about my secret spot and it's right around the corner from my house......ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!👍🐡

You know Richard I love it whenever you are on the Fish but I really love the Catfish. Sometimes all I catch are jumbo bullhead but I know that means the Blues and Channels are just nearby. WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Snow in Iowa now, Spring will be back. In the meantime trying to figure out the Walleye, which I've never caught. Too cold anyway right now the lake is freezing over and Mama don't want me on the Ice!

Here in TN they passed this year you can use bluegill caught in a cast net! I think it's awesome. Thanks for the great content
When you're pretty much directly above them the hook will get them in the upper jaw most of the time,that's the reason it was hooked the way he was.When you cast out that's when they'll almost always get hooked in the corner.

I've enjoyed my Summer of Fishing here in Western Iowa. Spend my days at the lake on the Bank relaxing and fishing. Not a lot of things that are more fun than that. Iowa has the same rules except I think you can have more bait fish. Weren't many Richard but they were good ones and that's all that counts. Anyway that you don't get skunked is a victory.

Where in Alabama are you fishing? I live in Alabama as well, are fishing up towards Huntsville area or Scottsboro and Stevenson are the only places I’ve been to that the Tennessee river runs through. Awesome channel!
