That’s so funny, I dropped my brand new 14.5 URGI upper to my gunsmith a month ago to remove the pinned welded Surefire flash hider and replace it with an AAC 51T for use with my AAC M2000 suppressor. I’ve removed pinned and welded muzzle devices before but, I didn’t want risk messing up my new upper.
Accidentally sent geissele support a screenshot of a scripture verse with a picture of my enhanced bolt carrier group I needed some service on. “by their works, ye shall know them.” I felt so awkward but they were so chill about it 😅 Hope they got a laugh out of it
Have a Mod1/TS30A2/AEM5 and I love it. While it has aged quite gracefully I was thinking of a modern version that I wouldn't mind running hard. All the lessons learned from building it out and running it past 600 over the past 18 years, the URGI seems to check most of the checkbox's I'd be wanting. Thanks for the review.
After purchasing a stripped Geissele Super Duty upper and seeing the crappy job they did drilling for the coil pin for the gas block, I'm in the process of rebarreling it myself. Ended up getting a URGI clone from Thoroughbred Armament with the Daniel Defense barrel like the first batches of URGIs.
Have fun at the course. I have taken many cues from your rifle set ups and saved time and money. Btw what two shooting bags were you using and do you have an affordable rear bag recommendation?
@@yipeeiaye well a comparison from a consumer side is coming. I know just enough on the SPR side to be dangerous. 14.5 with 3-18 is impressive however when I was up at Ridgeline one of the guys have a URGI. If you are wanting a true SPR set up, and with Ridgeline selling the LPR uppers. And the groups guys are posting on the Gasgunfastgun IG account. And the rifle being specifically designed around eliminating flex in the upper. LPR is the way. And yes I paid full price for mine. Since many have assumed I got mine for free. 🤙
If I didn’t already have a 14.5” BCM MK2 I would absolutely pick up a 14.5” G URG-I. Just don’t have a need/want for another 14.5”. I really like the rail so I put a 10” one on a 11.5” build. DDC Looks great paired with a matching charging handle.
Dope setup. I love the NX8 on that URGI upper. How do you like the T3 with that magnification range? Do you find it to be visible enough at 2.5x, or do you think a stacked red dot is necessary? I was thinking about getting the same scope for my SPR, and I love the T3, but I was just curious how well it performs with that magnification range.
@@CutlassOutdoors I would never run my main tube at 2.5. Red dot at 12 is the way for an SPR. I have beers and convo review coming On 3 spr builds with various rds positions that I am still tweaking
I wish they offered unpinned muzzle devices, or other muzzle devices
Or maybe longer barrels.
As of this week they now have stripped URGI's on their website.
@@apnk6870 no shit really? I just finished building mine piece by piece because I didn’t like the 4 prong.
BCM has those

I just purchased the Geissele 14.5 CHF based on this review. It will arrive next week. Stoked 🍺
I've already got a 14.5 BCM "lightweigh,t" and i love it! But I'd be lying if i said i dont want the GEISSELE.
Same here. Love my BCM MK2 but if I didn’t go that rout, this URG-I is amazing.

I’ve been taking this thing out with a 3-15 at 600 consistently more than my 18 inch rifle length
I shoot my 12” 600+ pretty often too

I enjoy the 14.5” as well I have the Wilson Combat in .300 blkout with an Omega 300 it’s 🔥
Magpul dt maybe a thicc one but I like it

It’s actually perfect, quad rail is too big, wedgelock rail is too thin.
Got one on a build someone backed out on.

Would you normall run such a high magnification scope on a 14.5 like this or would you go for something like an LPVO?
Very clean
I just want the bipod

Who am I kidding…. I’ll get this one 2
Why not
Focus more on using what I have vs being a collector.
lol I have a 14.5 bcm and I justified getting the 14.5 URGI by making the optics different. Bcm has just a dot. And URGI has a LPVO.
Well done Jeff.
It's 4 prong flash hider not 3.
