I had low self esteem before.
I have became resilient through my life had some many things happen to me had to keep getting up and going on with life to the point it nearly broke me
I have also noticed how many men are looking at me at work I look up and am being stared at obviously look away when I notice them. I sometimes think is there something wrong with me amount guy looking at me. I work in place where predominantly men.
This is nice for me as I never had that before
I feel there particular people at work are holding me down with negativity this is my boss

You know I turn up for that shit hahahahahaha. Teaching is so psychological because to know how they learn, you need to know the students' individual needs and personality. In my teaching philosophy, a growth mindset is a part of that. that's how i will do things. If children don't have a growth mindset and see failure as a learning experience that sets them up for elevation, it decreases their self-confidence in their capabilities, this makes them disengage, avoid work and creates behavioural issues.
Children need to feel powerful in making mistakes and comfortable taking educational risks in order to improve and maintain their knowledge. I want failure to make them curious and create an unpredictability that's exciting. I put my failures on show hahahahahaha, many of times I've got something wrong and said to the kids, I've done this wrong hahahahahaha. Their actually really patient and like challenges.
If they don't have a growth mindset, I believe we are setting them up for failure. Because they won't be able to transmute failure into knowledge that creates a successful outcome. Every pre-service teacher, teacher, and well experienced teacher has different thoughts on what effective teaching is. For me, Maslows hierarchy of needs, a growth mindset, and a positive self concept and self-esteem are required to create an independent learner that is self-sufficient and confident. When they don't need me, they're ready.
@@Astroman333 I absolutely agree with your philosophy! Very similar to my own. In the American educational system, we learn about the growth mindset. In reality, however, our over-arching focus on standardized testing, scores, grades, and comparisons to others significantly diminishes the true possibilities of the growth mindset. How can we say we believe in growth but only focus on grades and scores to reflect a person’s potential? I am a living example of how wrong the educational system here is. I came from a home life with a lot of trauma. A lot! Because of my home life I was not motivated and not very participatory to my K-12 education. Teachers failed to see what was limiting me in performing well academically-and even behaviorally. I was in the slow groups. I was told how dumb I was at school and at home. My father made me do all of cooking and housework at home because “getting a man” was what should be my focus. I dropped out of high school 3 times -3rd time was final. I eventually got my GED. Scored in the top 10%. Had my first child, who was extremely smart. Gifted even. I knew that I needed to be better educated if I wanted to provide the foundation that he (who now lives as a she) needed. I entered college and earned almost straight A’s all the way through 2 grad degrees (human services counseling, reading specialist, and special education) and even half of a third grad degree in testing and assessment. Our performance in our early years do not accurately reflect our potential- for a variety of reasons. Motivation comes from within and must activated from that mindset. Not pats on the back. Not, “I’m so proud of you.”. Not even hyper-focusing on grades and comparisons. Every year, when we had meet the teacher, I told my story to the parents and students. Not to boast, but to provide evidence that you never, ever write a child off. Never demean them because you don’t know all of them yet. And maybe you never will. This is their journey. I had a poem on my fridge the entire time my children were growing up. It was On Children, by Kahlil Gibran. It was to remind me to allow my children to become who THEY CAME HERE TO BECOME. It pissed me off to hear parents tell their children who they would be and what they would be. I had I high school student who excelled in reading and writing. She wanted to be a writer. In a parent meeting I was sharing with her parents about their daughters gifts. They immediately responded with, “Oh no, we want her to go to medical school to become a doctor.”. I could not believe this, but didn’t say much. If we don’t love what we’re doing and who we are, we lose our love for life. It becomes robotic and emptied of passion and joy. You, Robbie, will make a wonderful and healing teacher!!! Go forth and fulfill your purpose. Or purposes. 💖

I've just had to leave a job after 4 months in the childcare sector, manager has tried to convince me to stay but i know it wont change there, too many bad eggs, gonna be a bit rough for a little while financially but ill be fine and already got a start date going back to previous job in care that the only reason I had to leave was because of UC ultimately, I wanted to wait till I had no childcare responsibilities before thinking about all that
