I have major trust issues, and I needed to give myself the permission to trust myself and know that any actions I take are for my BEST INTEREST. I remember when I was younger, I didn't trust myself enough to allow myself to make mistakes. Through this, you learn to differentiate. I've learned that I am capable and I should trust what I'm guided to do. We all need to honour ourselves by trusting ourselves. It's hard at first because you question it, you question yourself, and before you know your emotions, cloud your judgement and that little voice or inner guidance gets drowned by doubt, irrational fears and negative thoughts that make it difficult to follow your heart and the understanding you knew you had. Trust it, take a risk. You'll never find out if you don't try and give yourself the space to try. It's like being a parent for the first time. You think that everyone else knows better, you're not experienced. Thats not to say to not take advice from the right people. But ultimately, you know what to do. You just need to trust yourself to do it. It's a learning curb, one that gets easier with time. You just need to give yourself space to trust yourself. I always try never to make a choice while irrational and emotional, unless it's against my values.
Before I take a “risky” action, I figure out why I’m doing it by asking what I want it to accomplish. If the answer isn’t for my Highest good or the other person’s benefit. Try to promise not to meddle with fate and ask yourself if what you’re about to do would be in line with manifesting your dreams while leaving the How, Who, What, and When to Spirit and focus on the Why. Then I ask my Higher self if I can do it, and I usually hear both a yes and a no at the same time - the louder one is the Ego. @TheSeraphimEmeraldGemGypsy Absolutely exhausted. I sat two tests, one after the other. I started at 11 am and finished at 5 pm. The time on the tests goes really quickly, so you get like 1 minute 30 per question, and there's a lot to read through. So my maths test was rushed towards the end. I'm not sure how good or bad I did. Now I've got a migran and class tomorrow, hahahahahaha. I'm just hoping I've done enough for the scores to weigh out so I dont have to sit the lantite again. It was stressful. I did really well on my last practice tests. I was getting above the standard. The practice tests were easier and less reading. You literally get massive chunks and you need to collect so much information just by scanning it, you dont have enough time to really observe. So i found myself scanning for key words. But test conditions are different, and so are the questions. Now I'll just stress about my results, hahahahahaha. Im looking forward to my September holiday and taking my brother to the bird park...

@flymetothemoon9541 I'm Australian, so an Australian accent. I spent a lot of time with nan growing up, I've always appreciated vocabulary and the beauty of speaking. So I like using words. But I say, actually, like a lot. I really emphasise my sounds in words, I've always done this. Talking requires a lot of creativity because we create out sentences and decide what words to use. I think this mindset plays a part in my accent. My mum had a thick Aboriginal/English accent. You could immediately tell that she was Aboriginal from her accent. The words she used, how she would string along sentences. She said unna,norn,koonyi, true, thats shame, block your dot hahahahahaha and it was very natural for her, she didn't code switch much, which is why i dealt with any government related speaking stuff, for instance understanding the information then everything and my sister did everything concerning technology. So I was always the odd one out with my talking voice and accent. My dad Is full blooded Indonesian, and he doesn't have an accent at all. But yeah, im Australian, so I'd say an Australian accent..

I can translate noongar language when it's being spoken, but I have to double check my spellings when writing it and I need to see it on paper to speak it or at least have a quick look otherwise I get nervous that I'm saying it wrong. Vaccinated 95%/reproduction rate 60% and 1000 people. 1000 people 100= 10% of 1000 50= 5% of 100 60×50÷100 = 30 I didn't put the full math question because it's on my practice quiz. But I actually had woken up but hadn't opened my eyes, and this equation came to mind .
@@Astroman333okay the thing with word problems in maths is to go slowly. I swear. These types of scenario type questions are actually two different "problems." One, is visualizing the scenario that's being described (or asked about,) and the second thing is the arithmetic/calculations involved. Going slowly and taking all the time the exam allows are really key here. That's the way I see it. You don't want a quick answer, you want the answer that's as close to accurate as it needs to be. (Given how precise/hard the exam is.) Okay I'll shut up now ha ha. 😏
@@Astroman333 I'm just saying that you gotta make sure your aware of what "question" is actually being asked. And then carry out the numeric calculations. Like, make sure the answer is actually a calculation that was asked for. This is what trips people up on this kind of maths based exam. Ok seriously I'll shut up now for real this time. 😅
@secretlifeofa1926 I'm just focused on using the solutions and applying them to self created questions constructed similar to how the test structures them. That way, I'm familiar with the formulas needed for certain types of questions and seeing them in different ways. I may not have enough time to have a confident understanding with enough questions. But if i keep applying myself after the test to hone my understanding for if I need to take a 2nd attempt, I should be good to go. Hopefully, they take it easy on all of us because more teachers are needed. We could lose a lot of pre-service teachers, which means they lose future workers. The shortage is serious. We should be allowed to have the formulas in front of us to refer to. Sometimes you forget some stuff. I think there should be more than 3 attempts. I think their should be 5 attempts because just because we haven't learnt it yet, it doesn't mean we won't. So, future effective teachers would be getting pushed out. It should focus more on developing skills, not saying this is what you know and can do now and all you'll be able to do. It defeats the purpose of teaching and learning. Teaching is all about developing and nurturing skills. So, pre-service teachers should be developing and nurturing our skills for teaching. The point is to make effective teachers. The 3 attempt thing is like you have 3 times and then we give up on you, you're not good enough to be a teacher, which impacts our self efficacy, self confidence, self concept, purpose, ambition, self love ect. Lantite should be a development unit monitored by the lecturers. To be honest, I'm focused on years kindy to year 4. That's where I feel like I should be. That's where I'm the strongest, and my skills are most effective. I could do years 5 and 6, but I would turn that year group down as a full-time teacher. I wouldn't even apply.. I think foundational skills in reading and writing are important with basic and effective maths skills. If their foundation is strong, it makes it easy for teachers in the senior years to extend that knowledge. I know I can do that. Besides, I'd be too STRICT in the older years. I expect more out of the seniors than I do the juniors.

I did really well on my last practice tests. I was getting above the standard. The practice tests were easier and less reading. You literally get massive chunks and you need to collect so much information just by scanning it, you dont have enough time to really observe. So i found myself scanning for key words. But test conditions are different, and so are the questions. Now I'll just stress about my results, hahahahahaha.
Im looking forward to my September holiday and taking my brother to the bird park...

@flymetothemoon9541 I'm Australian, so an Australian accent. I spent a lot of time with nan growing up, I've always appreciated vocabulary and the beauty of speaking. So I like using words. But I say, actually, like a lot. I really emphasise my sounds in words, I've always done this. Talking requires a lot of creativity because we create out sentences and decide what words to use. I think this mindset plays a part in my accent.
My mum had a thick Aboriginal/English accent. You could immediately tell that she was Aboriginal from her accent. The words she used, how she would string along sentences. She said unna,norn,koonyi, true, thats shame, block your dot hahahahahaha and it was very natural for her, she didn't code switch much, which is why i dealt with any government related speaking stuff, for instance understanding the information then everything and my sister did everything concerning technology. So I was always the odd one out with my talking voice and accent. My dad Is full blooded Indonesian, and he doesn't have an accent at all.
But yeah, im Australian, so I'd say an Australian accent..

@enniling3883 I can't speak Indonesian, though hahahahahaha. I can translate noongar language when it's being spoken, but I have to double check my spellings when writing it and I need to see it on paper to speak it or at least have a quick look otherwise I get nervous that I'm saying it wrong.
Sometimes when my elders speak noongar language. I just assume everyone knows what they are saying hahahahahaha. Turns out they don't, hahahahahaha.

@@Astroman333okay the thing with word problems in maths is to go slowly. I swear. These types of scenario type questions are actually two different "problems." One, is visualizing the scenario that's being described (or asked about,) and the second thing is the arithmetic/calculations involved. Going slowly and taking all the time the exam allows are really key here. That's the way I see it. You don't want a quick answer, you want the answer that's as close to accurate as it needs to be. (Given how precise/hard the exam is.) Okay I'll shut up now ha ha. 😏
@@Astroman333 I'm just saying that you gotta make sure your aware of what "question" is actually being asked. And then carry out the numeric calculations. Like, make sure the answer is actually a calculation that was asked for. This is what trips people up on this kind of maths based exam. Ok seriously I'll shut up now for real this time. 😅
@secretlifeofa1926 I'm just focused on using the solutions and applying them to self created questions constructed similar to how the test structures them. That way, I'm familiar with the formulas needed for certain types of questions and seeing them in different ways.
I may not have enough time to have a confident understanding with enough questions. But if i keep applying myself after the test to hone my understanding for if I need to take a 2nd attempt, I should be good to go.
Hopefully, they take it easy on all of us because more teachers are needed. We could lose a lot of pre-service teachers, which means they lose future workers. The shortage is serious. We should be allowed to have the formulas in front of us to refer to. Sometimes you forget some stuff.
I think there should be more than 3 attempts. I think their should be 5 attempts because just because we haven't learnt it yet, it doesn't mean we won't. So, future effective teachers would be getting pushed out. It should focus more on developing skills, not saying this is what you know and can do now and all you'll be able to do. It defeats the purpose of teaching and learning. Teaching is all about developing and nurturing skills.
So, pre-service teachers should be developing and nurturing our skills for teaching. The point is to make effective teachers. The 3 attempt thing is like you have 3 times and then we give up on you, you're not good enough to be a teacher, which impacts our self efficacy, self confidence, self concept, purpose, ambition, self love ect. Lantite should be a development unit monitored by the lecturers.
To be honest, I'm focused on years kindy to year 4. That's where I feel like I should be. That's where I'm the strongest, and my skills are most effective. I could do years 5 and 6, but I would turn that year group down as a full-time teacher. I wouldn't even apply..
I think foundational skills in reading and writing are important with basic and effective maths skills. If their foundation is strong, it makes it easy for teachers in the senior years to extend that knowledge. I know I can do that. Besides, I'd be too STRICT in the older years. I expect more out of the seniors than I do the juniors.

(For multiple reasons, I just think that's the perfect age group for you and the emotional and intellectual impact you would make there.) Im hoping to successfully apply what I've learned on test day to achieve the results I need to progress and continue developing myself.
I'm a bit nervous and slightly scared, but I am looking forward to completing what I need to and then continuing to focus on my development and being the best I can be.
