You showed our Częstochowa beautifully, although I go there often, but your perspective gave me a completely different view of Częstochowa. I came across your vlog by accident, but You talk so easily about the places you visit that I would like to go there soon
My Polish best friend, Agnieszka, she's originally from Czestochowa but now lives in Krakow. I'm super excited that I will be seeing her this Sunday, I can't wait to be back in Krakow again! Just such a shame I missed you guys in Krakow by a couple of weeks, I would have loved sharing a beer with you!
For another day trip you can go to Dąbrowa Górnicza, you can take public bus from Katowice, it's nice city with Pogoria Lakes, specially one with beach and pier
Jasna Gora looks beautiful indeed. I've never been there before but enjoy listening to Golec Orkiestra carols concert at Christmas time. The concert was filmed at Jasna Gora. I recommend looking up Golec Orkiestra Cicha Noc Jasna Gora. That's the band's rendition of Silent Night, and beautiful shots of the Jasna Gora basilica, in the festive atmosphere, are plentiful.
Wow. Ive been to Częstochowa many times, but Your movie is much better advertisement of in Poland than movies made by goverment tourism agencies;) I hope Youll stay in Poland for a long time, because in all Your movies You dont focus on the main tourist routes, but You try to discover hidden gems in every country You are. And You are very positive:) Keep up the good work!
As other people have already said, the flags you showed us were Hungary, Denmark and Argentina. I'm really glad you visited Częstochowa. I was born there and lived very close to the monastery when I was a child. Last week I visited Częstochowa (as I live in the UK now) being in Park License for thee first time in my life. Seeing that beech, I had literally the same impressions, as you did. Thanks for posting this video. You're doing great job.

Jasna Gora in Czestochowa is a magic place. You should know religious activity in Poland is going down very fast, especially among young people. And they are right!!! Catholic stucture of church is damaged now in Poland for young generation. Statistics says the truth!
Fun fact: you can try to literally translate Często-Chowa as Often-Hides ;) I've heard that this name came from the fact that it is located in hilly land and when you are driving to it then it often hides behind hills - but this is probably not true explanation.

Very interesting city even for a stanch but ecumenical protestant. I don't know how my wife an ex-catholic would take it but I am sure she would survive it. It took a tour of a Orthodox church, they offer public tours and explanations of their religious formalities in some USA cities, to break the ice with that end of the religious world as not being so bad but yes, its different. If we stick to the basics we really wouldn't have to many arguements, unless we went out of way to have them. ( which people do, but why they do this, it sure beats me) Great architecture in the video and a nice open city. Perhaps they stole the idea of an inland beach from some USA state parks as its an inexpensive way to have a sandy beach when you can't travel to one. Copying is the greatest complement and form of flattery so they say.
Folk etymology derives the name of the city from the phrase often hide. The name of Częstochowa would arise because the view of the city was often hidden among the surrounding hills from the pilgrims approaching the city. Często chowa = often hide btw Thanks for presenting my country in superlatives :) Thanks to U I can see places that I haven't been even though I live in Poland. Ok, you were at Jasna Góra, but did you see the greatest holiness of Poles - the Image of the Black Madonna. Even the communists did not confiscate this painting, fearing the fury of the entire Polish society, believers and non-believers, if they decided to do so. Poland was the only communist country where the faith was practiced because 90 percent were Catholics.

its like catholic mekka
In German is this as Tschenstochau to hear Also more en then e
Tschenstochau is German version of the name of the town Częstochowa
What nationality is Naomi?
Half Italian, Half German 👍
What is it: it is long, it sings and shits in bushes along a road ?
Answer: a pilgrimage to Częstochowa!
"Ch" in Polish is pronounced like cat's hissing (no "tsh" and no "k").
The closest sound of the city name will be when you write the name like chenstohova
Chen-sto-hova
