Love the comparison format. Really engaging! Keep up the good work 👌🏻
this recipe is spot on. been in the industry for 20+ years here in the states and flour, egg, breadcrumbs is standard. and it's fun because there are so many variations for the crumbs, like you showed! gonna have to give this particular one a go. thanks for the video!
Probably one of the best cooking channels on UA-cam. Everything you do is so simple yet so nice.
What I like to do with Chicken Nuggets is to do a Cornflake coating. Especially those slightly honey-flavoured ones and then mix some cayenne in with them and the flour. Makes for some sweet and spicy nuggets! 👍🏻
That sounds amazing.
niiiice!
So do i!
Food Busker It really is. How’s Paris? ;)
Yes - corn flake crispy chicken sounds shit but tastes great!
I have usually avoided chicken nuggets for the reasons you suggested. However, I am very anxious to give your recipe a try! Looks fantastic!
I'm about to go on a long flight. I downloaded a bunch of these vids and I'm gonna binge watch them the entire flight 😄
So how did that work out for you? Watching food video's while you only have airplane food to look at.
Julesmo it was not the best of choices😂
A bloody genius idea to make the coating out of crisps!!
Mate I didn't know if your channel would improve with your own kitchen but seriously you've taken it to another level - respect brother! I'll show my face for sure next time I am back home in the UK. Peace!
Another one of your recipes I tried. It worked really well as expected. Cheap Lay's crisps/chips worked better than the more expensive kettle chips. Since I'm trying to eat healthier I also used Panko bread crumbs and seasoned them with a bit of powdered ginger and smoked, powdered Korean hot peppers, dumped the salt. It was different but just as crunch and very tasty.
The street fighter audio made this amazing. Thank you.
LOVE THE FACT THAT IT IS 100% KOSHER!
THANKS MAN! 🤓😍
been waiting for a recipe for ages!
Food Busker I tried it today!! It's freakin delicious!
He said Bob’s your uncle Love it! Can’t wait to try them
Hello 👋
Meeting Food Busker and evaluating his food is on my “before i die “ list
Really liked this episode! Always nice to see some comparison and I gotta say I like chunks of chicken more, too. I just like the texture more. This look really good but most of the time I bake nuggets and chips. For these I`d gladly do a fiver!
another great video.. they coming back to back to back nowadays. pure quality
You summed up everything I hate about McD nuggets.
Great recipe and cool idea using chrisps ;) naughty! basically means I will be doing sour cream and onion chicken nuggets! :D
That pepper mill flip was legendary, better than any cocktail 'mixologist'!!!
This guy really knows his cooking, awesome.
foodbusker this is best food channel on here! Love your recipes. May I ask what kind of oil are you using? Keep the good work. Technical recipes that make sense
Coming to London in 2 week. Gonna pop in to see the big man in person. Can't wait! Increasing the love and all that.
If I lived in London I'd probably just camp outside waiting for John to cook something awesome.
I wants some they look so delicious.. thanks for the video huge fan
love that kind of format for easier recipe! Gret job !
You are just amazing! Great food, lots of fun...that’s the recipe for a good life!
Thank you soooooo much...you make my day!
3:20 "so naughty and it's going all over your chicken" you just won quote of the day mate
gonna have me some "naughty chicken" XD
Homemade is better. You have more control of what you put into it. Great tips. For a serving, I'd say 4 £ and 50 pence. Cheers!
Chicken breast cut into small nuggets. Add egg to one bowl and cornflour+ salt/pepper to another. Dip in the egg first, then to the egg/salt/pepper mixture. Cook on high heat until they turn golden brown/crunchy around the edges and serve with a sauce of your choice. The best chicken nuggets you'll have ever. I promise you.
Haha I did it a couple months ago with some friends, we got a different idea of a chicken nuggs, ours are made with italian seasoned panko bread crumbs... It's AMAZING, pair it with a homemade szechuan sauce (binging with babish version hit the spot) and you're in heaven!
Great video, feels like a different vibe to most, it's lovely!
These are more than chicken nuggets, I would call them chicken royales. With a bit of dipping sauce they could sell easily for 7 - 7.50 over here. Still wondering if a bit of parmesan in the flour would work?
now with a nice dip... mouth watering nom
I use cheez-its for my coating and bake the chicken! 375F for ~15 min. SO good with mashed potato and steamed green beans!
Hey great recipe looks uber tasty what can you do if you don't have deep fat fryer/chip pan please help thanks 😉👊
I wonder if you guys have Adobo from Goya over there. I personally use Adobo and Paprika in my flour mix. I also just double dip in the flour mixture and milk rather than egg and bread crumbs. It isn't quite a batter so it holds up well, but if you let it sit a while before frying it is just like a batter. Buy some Adobo and give it a try if you haven't before.
"And Bob's your uncle," is probably one of my favorite English idioms. lol
well done there great video, i love more informations and comparisons
Where do i apply to get into the Food Busker institute of chicken research?
how in god's blessed name did you think of those bread crumbs???? i have been cooking for 40yrs and i would have never dreamt of a crumb like that??? ...you are either a madman or a genius lmao....wonderful....
I use corn flakes for my coating
Go to lucky chip in London. They make the best chicken nuggets. They brine free range chicken for 24 then, coat the, then deep fry. They come out so moist in the middle and crunchy on top.
When you grind the chicken, you can add spice and bind it. It makes it more flavorful. Tbh also using breast makes it dryer than thighs.
Hello 👋
This is making me wonder. If you are using potato chips / crisps, would you be better off using something like potato flakes instead? Potato chips are deep-fried anyways.
I’m definitely trying this 😁
If I decide to put them in the oven, how long should I cook them for and at what temperature? Thank you 🙏
Surprised my wife with these bad boys for dinner after watching your video earlier today!!! A+++!! Great recipe!!
with the mince chicken, you can mince it yourself, and you can add all sorts of spices and seasonings to it, which you can't do as easily with whole.
plus you should have had 4 nuggets, breast, thigh, breast mince, thigh mince
So Glad it popped up and said Corn chip!
"sod it, $4.50" LOL subscribed.
Did I see you place the fried chicken nuggets back into the same galvanised tray you previously had the raw ones in?
What if I wanted to bake these rather than fry?
What would you recommend for cooking time/heat?
Cheers
Darryl Fraser 180C, make shure you turn them often so they crisp up on all sides.
Oops sorry. I'd say 20 to 30 min, internal temperature needs to be 165F for breast meat, 175F for thigh meat. 74c to 80c. Hope this helps!
It helps. You're a good man. Cheers.
How long would i bake These Babys in an oven, what would you suggest?
First time I would have payed less than what you said. I said 3 max with street tax and all. Still looking bloody delicious though!
Nvm, they are bigger then I expected. 4er+ is easily worth it. You good my man.
i had the same thought process...didn't realize they were huge nuggets
Hell yes thats a cheers. I'll be sure to come over next time I'm in London!
Mate, is that a Takeda Gyuto you're using? Welcome to the club!!!
I would argue that using mince enables you to mix in different cuts of the chicken like deboned thighs and thus enhancing the flavours.
Salt and Vinegar potatoes crisps are the best to use
What I will do for the coating is that I'll use Pretzels instead of breadcrumbs. That's probably one of the best substitute for coating.
For oven cooking them how long and at what heat would you recommend? 200C for 15-20 minutes?
I too would like to know this
I'd do 180C, nice slow roast. Make shure to turn them often so they crisp up on all sides.
id say 12-15mins @180c
Make shure internal temperature is 75C+ for white meat, 80C+ for dark meat.
Definitely making this soon! Cheers me deers!
You ever done food busker fish fingers, a food busker fish finger sandwich could be epic
Another great vid !!!!! #buskerpower
Love the recipe Chef and would go for a homemade Nugget any day but here lies the problem and what a lot of ppl rather go for .......4 of your Nuggets for £4.50 whereas £3.99 for a 20 Nugget Share Box from Mc D's. Most Ppl just look at cost and quantity now. Gone are local Butchers and decent chicken for decent prices, ppl just go for crappy supermarket chicken as it's cheap and does the job (me included im afraid)
Good recipe but I use Cornflakes to make mine ....the bizz
If a family is fairly broke and their kids want the nugs, it's best to go for the cheapest nug they can afford. A shame, but, life gives you what it does. Taxes > nugs.
Awesome tricks with Doritos - luv u man
Take something up to the next level
cracking,,,,, made my coating with ritz and BBQ pringles....
I would let Food Busker batter my nuggets anytime
What music do you use in this video? Specifically at 0.55. Thanks
Technical question: does a chicken nugget need to be chicken breasts in order to be a proper chicken nugget or could it also be thighs as they are cheaper and more flavorful? Would it lose its chicken nuggetiness if it was made out thighs?
If you use thigh, you need to mince it. Otherwise it will be chewy as all hell. This can be a fine option, and a touch cheaper. I recommend you try both side by side, and test for yourself. They're your nuggets! - Signed, a professionally trained chef.
The original Mc Nugget was made with a mince that had dark meat. They went to all white meat because of the health trnd, but IMO the original was a much tastier nugget.
no, a proper nugget also needs conrstarch, beaks, feet, asses...
Thigh can be used too. You dont need to mince it. Some ppl will minced it but actually, you dont have to! Just cut it into chunks, remove the skin and you're done!
@@guguigugu Feed a whole live chicken into a blender. The screaming terror they feel as they are minced alive really brings out the flavour.
It's all about the crunch.......thanks John :)
Oh wow. They do look tasty!
That’s the right way to increase the peace and spread the love! making fu€!ng blody amazing chicken nuggets!! 🔥🔥🔥DUDE that’s pure MAGIC!!! 🤯🤯🤯
Dear Mr F.Busker,
Suppose i wanted to make a larger nugget out of this. So i could use it as a chicken burger. How much longer would i need to cook it for at that temperature?
Internal temperature for chicken should be 75C for white meat, 80C dark meat. Deepfry at least 8 min.
"Get some potato chips!" he then proceeds with a bag of Doritos, lol.
mincing the chicken give you the optoin of adding the flavor with it
Any idea how long in an air fryer?
if i wanna baked it, how long it will take?
Would it work cooking them on a hot (indirect) BBQ instead of frying?
Looks like I need a food blitzer
You should have done oven baked and deep fried comperison also.
But fried always wins when it comes to crispy coatings so...
Grinding 50% cheetos & 50% chips .. that makes the crunchy bit even more delightful
What’s the name of the song that’s playing throughout most of the video?
Hate Maccas 🐓 Nuggets. 💕 ur idea with the *CORN* chips
Since McDonald's are tasteless I bet they are better. I'd use mince as then you can add some spices to the mince.
Niiiiice once again
I don't get why people are so hyped over mcdonalds chicken nuggets maaaaaaaan. These look way better. I might make these.
Next level would be to brine first?
Dan Hughes Buttermilk overnight with grated onion, garlic, cracked black pepper and some cayenne pepper, would be my choice!
Chicken nuggets with Onion French Dip Oh Yes!
Quality prepared product, £4.50 is the right price for my pocket. Using Doritos as a crumb is genius in my mind.
Anyone else notice he's using the Alamuzerian (spelling ? ) knife , as featured on other UA-cam channel
A) As white-meat chicken products go, these look primo.
B) As other commenters have alluded to, this is an interesting case of mistaken retranslation. Yes, what we here in Brooklyn call potato chips are called crisps in Blighty, but that doesn't mean that all the things you call crisps are potato chips. Potato chips must contain at least a modicum of potato.
do fish burger for good friday please and chicken strips or corndogs
What an amazing idea. doritos
A right challenge for you, Do the same but cook it on a BBQ..! Simon Dyer style..!
Oi, Food Busker - In the States, Dorito's are a type of nacho flavored corn chip - not your typical potato chip/crisp! Just saying.......
Nice birchwood brotha
Looks good. Interesting many videos on YT are being limited to 1K likes. What's going on? :(
potato chips.
**holds up bag of doritos**
180*9/5 + 32 = 356 degrees F.
"Better than McDonalds". Like that's an achievement
I'd pay ya a fiver 😉, where are you based, definitely drop in the next time I'm over👍
Great video, I love the institute. More research is needed by this institute into other fast food takeaway foods!
