The song is originally Yishay Ribo's, it's in Hebrew, they translated part of it, so the Solomon brothers sing in English, and Yishay sings in Hebrew. It is indeed a studio session and I love the homey feeling of it.
Yishay Ribo is a very popular singer in Israel, and I love it when he sings with other singers, it brings out the best from each of them. Ishay and almost all of your Israeli "comments" recommendations sing in Hebrew (and/or English), but there are some great Arab-language singers in Israel - including the terrific Valerie Hamaty, who sang part of the duet with Tamir Grinberg "Halleluyah" in Arabic (that you reacted to so positively).
