My neighbor had two black chows when I was a young child. They also had people tongues. My big brother told me that purple tongues meant they were poisonous... So I was petrified of them. My mom could not figure out why I was scared because I was obsessed with dogs as a child.

I really relate to the impulse to throw your feet/legs up in the air when excited by a comfy thing (the bed, the bath, etc), lol!! One of my family's favorite stories of me as a kid was when I was 3 or 4 and I met Santa and the very first thing I did was lay down on the floor (in my new dress!!) and kick up my feet declaring, "Santa!! Look at my new shoes!!" Also!! I have actually never seen a double flush toilet!! I do not even know what that means, lol!! James is giving the states too much credit. 😅

The toilets we have in our new house flush once if you just push the lever for a normal flush, but if you hold it down past the first flush, it will flush again immediately. I am in the states and I have never seen a double flush toilet of any kind before these toilets. It's very convenient.

I actually preferred Melbourne over Sydney when I visited. It felt like Melbourne was rich in art and culture, which is way more me. I loved all the graffiti there and the different buildings. Sydney was still nice too, and it could have been the area I was in, but it didn’t stand out as much.

Melbourne is gorgeous! It reminds me of my home, Chicago....not huge but big. Chicago's buildings are a bit more smooshed together but your buildings out there are so beautiful! I'd say Sidney is a place to visit but Melbourne is a place to LIVE. I think I'd like Melbourne.
WTG, Bowsie, you really know how to show your humans a good time! I agree about the window being the prime spot. That Spa Day mirror looks so good IRL. Double flush toilets are quite practical, with each button using the correct amount of water needed to actually flush, less for #1. We need to start adopting methods like this in the US as a lot of the large lakes, rivers and reservoirs that supply water to many cities are way down. I have read that Australia and Melbourne in particular are really ahead of the game on this. They are doing tons more than us, but are still facing shortages. I try to compensate here at home by letting yellow "mellow" for a time or two, and of course flushing brown down. Sorry if that was TMI for folks. 😊

Double flush is two options. When I've seen them it's expressed as small water or big water essentially. Meant for if you just need half of the back tank to empty or all of it for bigger flushes. It's a water saving thing.
