I was trying for a quite a while to get your signature guitar from Harley Benton. Everytime I tried to order one, it was either out of stock or they would cancel my order. I kept checking the site multiple times a day, then all the sudden they had just one. It said B stock and was $100 off original price. I hurried up and ordered it. It arrived in a few days which was remarkable coming from Germany. It was in immaculate condition other than the pivot bolts for the Floyd rose, the treads had debris in them and it wouldn't thread down. I took it apart and used a razor to clean the threads and works absolutely perfect now!
To the doubters an nay sayers, it's simple. Max has lots of followers. Max reviews a Firefly guitar and makes it sound awesome. Lots of followers go buy that model guitar. Firefly is then out of stock. Simple.
Exactly this. Some of their guitars such as the EVH or Zakk Wylde ones sell out quickly on their own. I'm surprised they don't make more (if possible). You can typically find them for inflated prices on Reverb

Thanks Max, and as someone who has followed your channel for years, and for anyone who knows you, we know you are the straightest of shooters. You do NOT play clickbate games. I have purchased some guitars that you have featured. People need to understand that there are now a TON of guitars and brands out there on the market, including the pre-owned market, and particular models often come and go very fast. Firefly is just one perfect example. They drop limited numbers of guitars at a time which can get bought up fast. They offer models, and then pause or entirely discontinue them quite quickly. They change colors and features all the time. Companies change their model offerings or modify them. Things come and go off Reverb, Ebay, and Amazon often very quickly. So buyers just need to understand that it's a market in constant flux. It's the nature of the beast. That's why if you see a model you really like, without allowing yourself to get sucked into way-overpriced scalper re-sells, jump at it quickly if you can because it may soon be changed or gone entirely. This also goes for traditional brands like Squire and Epiphone which change model designs year to year (i.e. finish colors and various other features). The same can even be said for their parent companies Fender and Gibson. Some of the very old standbys perpetuate year after year, but others change year to year. Again, like the motor vehicle market and other product markets, the guitar market is always in flux.
You control everything, everywhere. Do your job. 🤣😂 Dude. You do a great job. People expect everything, at the moment they want it. Not every place can provide for Everyone. Always. Thanks for your videos, young man. Peace.
Great video. It explains a lot. I saw the Firefly EVH guitar video and I believe I followed I followed a link, because I ended up in this garden thing, but no EVH guitar in sight. I didn't want the guitar, but I did want to see it and see the price. you've explained very well the problem. You can't control what a company will do, before, during or after you make a video about their product. I'm not a shredder, but I do enjoy your videos and might even subscribe. Thanks.
Your Videos Are The Best Max...I've Bought A Couple Of Guitars Because Of Your Videos/Reviews....And Personally Am Very Grateful That You And Your Channel Exists.😊..Your The Best In My Book Brother 😊...
I’ve honestly clicked a link on one of the videos and found the guitar was out of stock. However, I’ve thought it was due to the tremendous success the channel had in drawing attention and interest.
Max is one of favorite UA-cam guitar reviewers. If you want to get any guitar he reviews before it sells out, it’s simple. Hit the bell icon to be notified when he puts out a video. You’ll be amongst the first to see it. You’ll also be amongst the first to get a to buy the reviewed guitar. 🎸 😎
People who get angry with you over things beyond your control don’t live in reality. And let’s not kid ourselves, people like that are looking for something to get pissed off about. What a strange coincidence that they always seem to find something. Keep up the good work.
I saw the original MAX video about the EVH. I went to that website and it was in stock. I was tempted to buy one but my ego wont allow me to. When I get time I will take a cheap strat and paint it like Eddie's.
I'm in Edmonton Alberta, and although I thought ordering from Aliexpress was sketchy, I decided to give them a try....If you want changes, or custom stuff, it will take longer....I ordered an Olympic White Eric Clapton signature neck Stratocaster, with no extras, and I got it in two weeks....I will be adding new pickups, but it's a beautiful guitar, and even with the cheaper pickups, it has that sweet, warm Fender sound.....Set up was pretty good out of the box, and it was encased in styrofoam, so no damages....$235.00 Canadian...I got it on 6/20/24
Don't worry, Max 🙂 As I am living in France, my first reaction is to check if the guitar/brand is available in Europ. If not, the delivery and tax fees would make the price far less interesting 😕
Dude, your the best period. I never thought you were FOS. Just a kick ass guitarist that provides an awesome UA-cam channel for all of us to enjoy. But I sure would like a heads up on if those FF EVH’s will drop again. 😆 I played one of those INV pauls and it was very very nice. The small guy is making some headway on the big guys imho. And that’s ok with me. I have a gib 335 that I can’t stop the buzzing on. High fret or two so 🤷. My FF 335 which is more like a slightly smaller version of a 335 has NO FRET BUZZ AND BETTER ACTION. Good day 👍
I just bought the Blue Paisley Tele style guitar from Firefly, and that thing is so beautiful, sounds fantastic and plays phenomenal! A few months ago I bought the Charvel knockoff from them, and it's awesome as well, except the "Floyd" isn't very good, but I love it as well! Their necks are the best!
The only time I was ever “click baited” was when I was researching HAM radios and I saw you in the thumbnail. I thought no way, dudes a super nerd. Guitars and radios? True wallet pain.
Good call on small guitar companies missing out on sales, by not following the trends online , such as reviews, and not realizing how many viewers these videos get, and potential clients, where the UA-camr did all the "marketing", per se.
I’m one of your fans that believe you’re honest and when you say “I like it” you mean it. Also, I believe we all need food in our plates and it’s absolutely OK to get pay to promote. As long as you say “It’s good” and you really feel it, go for it MAX. I have some opinions about the channel but I don’t want to make them public. Out of respect.
Those comments come from young people who are inept to have any forethought and common sense. They don't even consider when your video was made relative to when they saw it, to put the pieces together themselves. But I see you have to cater and explain yourself to them. Great channel. I don't even read the comments
No problem . . . It's more than blatantly obvious that you're an honest person who's not a phony. Anyone who thinks you're a phony or a liar isn't paying proper attention.
🧐🧐 I kept missing the Firefly guitar colors I wanted, but I could tell by watching the site over a period of a few months that the issue was just small batches. But then just this week I was able to order a LEO JAYMZ guitar I had also been watching out for and it arrived in 3 DAYS! But now it’s already showing SOLD OUT on the website! DAYUM! These are just small batch guitars folks! You can always go get a Squire! 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Hi Max, I blew getting the evh guitar from Firefly. They offered 2 different variations and I didn't order one when I first saw them and in like 48 hrs. They were gone. I check the website everyday. If they ever come back I hope to snag one.
Firefly is famous (or infamous?) for this...If you see a hot new Firefly, and it's more than a day since the video was posted, good luck. You also have to worry about bots... People setting up scripts to keep reloading pages and purchase anything new they see so they can flip em for double on Reverb. This is the same way for pretty much ANY custom shop. Even the big boys. Gibson's "Mod" shop is plagued by bots and flippers. The good thing about Gibson is they tend to release on a fixed schedule. So you can get lucky. Places like Firefly not so much, you just have to be right place right time.
Can you Imagine an Amazon, ebay, or some new small company guitar that either gets Sold out or the exact model or color is not available. --- You tricked us Max. ...Lol..
Older reviews can still be relevent if you have found a used one and want to know how good or bad it was when released, I use these reviews as a guide only, any guitar purchase is a very personal one. Some models sell out within hours of them be announced, i wait and see just how good they realy are, never buy a guitar based on another players opinion without playing one yourself. A classic example is the PRS Silver Sky SE, as soon as it was released it was hyped beyond belief and selling for more than MSRP, now they are available at a large discount. Having tried one, i soon found out why.
Thanks for your review of the 3 Brothers strat - I got a brown burl, loaded my choice of pickups and it replaced my other strats. Had everything from a '60s Fender to Ibanez versions - the 3 Brothers is a joy to play and fits my hand best. Ebay blew out the remaining stock. My bass player wanted one, but 2 weeks after I received mine, they were gone. Really enjoy your channel, but have one request: Could you demo more guitars with a mic'd up amp please? Cheers from the Moose.
lol! It amazes me how “unable” people are to do their own research …. Like punching in the guitar into a browser. Amazon is NOT the “go to place” for guitar availability. Sometime signature guitars can be difficult to find and even impossible if they’re a limited edition. Overall, you’re good bud. Thanks for going over all this. Thanks for the work you do! Cheers.
@Max yeah, I really enjoy your videos, but the few times I’ve clicked on your link to buy the specific guitar, it wasn’t available. I look forward to your future videos-Thanks
I have five electric Firefly guitars and one acoustic Firefly guitar because of your reviews. I have the Guitar Garden website bookmarked and check a couple of times a week to see whats in stock.
why would you think they are click bait? they're guitar reviews, take it or leave it right? I like to know about as much gear as possible myself, everyone has their reasons some don't, some think they should, plus you're a badd ass guitar player . . . 👍
Reminds me of a situation with another favorite youtuber of mine called jeremy fragrance. One day he posted about his own cologne brand with this new fragrance he came out with and he gave a 60% discount code, i was like one of the few that managed to get one and it was sold out pretty quickly. He came out with another video apologizing for everyone and that he is working to get more in stock. Some people just think of themselves and wouldnt want to understand the full picture.
I've missed getting a Frankenfly twice now. Both times, it was still on the site, just sold out. It does suck when they remove the listing completely, especially if they know they'll be getting more back in stock, but what are you going to do? It's how they run their business. EDIT: Three Brothers guitars was available fairly recently on Amazon as well. Gone again, now, but I remember seeing them on Amazon.
I made an Ebay purchase yesterday for a device that's pretty difficult to find. I was relieved when I found one, and it was in my budget. It was listed for 5 weeks, according to the listing. This afternoon, I received a cancellation/refund message....kinda pissed me off.
I am like you, Max. I already have too many guitars. But I value your reviews. For example, you made up a guitar from guitar fetish parts. I liked that, since I have bought parts from Guitar Fetish, and I was very happy. Making a custom guitar that way is a great idea. And there are a lot of options. You also got Harley Bentons, which I think are good value. I bought one as well. But the main reason I like your reviews is that they are thorough and described in plain English, which is very easy to follow. I think about guitars the same way as you do. And I like to search out value for money solutions, same as you do. Don't beat yourself up. We can't buy every guitar we see. But your reviews are very worthwhile nevertheless.
Your feedback on the Canadian guitar company that has a distribution agreement that guitars are not for sale online within Canada, but shippable worldwide. Perhaps this is to help brick and mortar retailers in Canada. Not aware if they do, but should mention on their website ... only available at a music retailer in Canada. Then, consumers need to go visit a store. Just like the old days.
I've heard you say many times that certain guitars may be out of stock quickly, especially when it comes to limited run instruments such as the EVH tribute Firefly. I guess some people don't listen to talking when there's such a sexy guitar on screen. Perhaps a disclaimer accompanying each link saying something like "There is a possibility that this guitar is sold out by the time you click this link. If it is, don't blame me... it's your own fault you didn't click it in time. Maybe if you click the bell notification to be updated when I release a new video, you could find out early enough to get one." lol
I've tried many times to get my hands on these guitars......I'm just about convinced they don't exist OR I just don't hit the websites at the right times.......
Max, People actually get mad at you because a guitar is sold out? Jesus! it's definitely not your fault if the manufacturer changes the listing to a link you provided. Firefly makes Guitars in batches. I just watched a Groove Mustang bass review and the reviewer is Canadian. Groove is a house brand of Music Depot in Canada and they make a lot more than just guitars (cabs, pa speakers, amps, microphones, interfaces, cables, etc.) Love Hellraiser The Movie and Song.
@GuitarMAXMusic Doesn't make much sense. Now in resale, someone will make a bunch more on a guitar that is in demand. Maybe the angle is...if you want one after the initial production run, you'd have it custom made at a much higher cost.
You have an amazing as well as a lot of subscribers... So people trust you and your opinion and purchase the guitar. As well as other you tubers reviews ... Cheers 🍻 🥃🥃 🎸 🎵🎶🎶🎶
They should check your video release date. I snoozed and losed on the Schecter E-1 FR S Special Edition Guitar you reviewed. It's my own damn fault. Keep up the kick ass reviews 🤘💀

Trying to get your HB signature guitar is virtually impossible in Europe, Thomann always has it out of stock
You reviews helped me buying my WestCreek Revenge. Great content bro
Glad I could help!
Your videos helped me get a gibson les paul custom, love your reviews
Dude, your the best period. I never thought you were FOS. Just a kick ass guitarist that provides an awesome UA-cam channel for all of us to enjoy. But I sure would like a heads up on if those FF EVH’s will drop again. 😆
I played one of those INV pauls and it was very very nice. Good day 👍
❤ thank you for all you do I love my Groove strat copy.
Miine is Capri orange and upon request, they sent it with a white pickguard!😊
I bought a wolf lp on your recommendation. Was everything you said it was. Keep up the good work.
Wow I can not believe a company would would only make four guitars find out its a smash hit & not go in production just mind blowing.
--- You tricked us Max. ...Lol..
People should realize they are limited. Ya snooze ya loose. Ya gotta be quick when Max demos something, it sells out super fast.
Hey Max, long time fan of your channel. I’m not sure if you’ve ever mentioned this, but what picks do you use?
Moving forward, whenever you review a guitar in the future, you should link to this video.
Older reviews can still be relevent if you have found a used one and want to know
how good or bad it was when released,
I use these reviews as a guide only, any guitar purchase is a very personal one.
Some models sell out within hours of them be announced, i wait and see just how
good they realy are, never buy a guitar based on another players opinion without
playing one yourself.
A classic example is the PRS Silver Sky SE, as soon as it was released it was hyped beyond
belief and selling for more than MSRP, now they are available at a large discount.
Cheers.
I agree. All the knowledge of the world at our fingertips but can't even do a simple Google search.
No way, your content is legit 👌
Some people just want something to B about... Don't worry about them. I enjoy your videos😎👍
you do great work, keep it up
I am like you, Max.
I truly trust guitar Maxx more than many sellers on Facebook marketplace or even the douche canoes at sam ash or guitar center.😂😂😂
People should know that unique and coot models at low prices might be sold out quickly. This should suprise no one.
If these guitars were still available, I probably wouldn't want them. Not clickbait. I just need to react faster if I see a guitar I want.
Wow man this is such an awesome guitar review I love it. Shred on dude.😃👍❤️🔥⚡️🎶🎸
I bought 3 different guitars years apart directly because of your reviews. But it was always off a new, just released video
Love your videos Max.
Thank you!
That’s why some guys use this line, as of the time of recording this video which is June 20 2024 (example).
Are the Fireflies that good ?
This happens on most peoples channels when they have a good review of a piece of gear,it gets sold out quick!
Keep up the great work 💪
Firefly has sold out a few hours after Max's video is posted, their stuff can fly off the shelf.
I enjoy your channel, good content.
The choices most have to make. "Realistic " Thanks, 🤘🎸🎶
Geography is an issue too. I've tried several times to get a Firefly guitar in the UK but never seems to be possible
But if there's still interest, why not add a link to pre-order another batch. Money is money; if the unit is in demand, why not make and sell it.
I completely agree! But that's never up to me but the guitar company.
I think the shirt Max is wearing explains it all… Don’t call unless you want to be torn apart! LOL!
No worries Max! You can’t control third party links or the EVH Estate’s lawyers that may have sent a love letter to Firefly!
Well I did try and get your signature HB when you first showed it but it was backordered now discontinued :?
They should check your video release date. I snoozed and losed on the Schecter E-1 FR S Special Edition Guitar you reviewed. It's my own damn fault. Keep up the kick ass reviews 🤘💀
Your thumbnail looked like it had Teemu Mäntysaari. Great video anyway.
Chuckle and shuffle the naysayers aside, your content is awesome!
I wonder how that TAB pedal in the background sounds.
One question,is there a BehsMax? (Just joking) Great videos, Keep up the good work.
One thing I do is check to see how long ago the video was put out.
When they do that , Just tell them to go Elf Themselves! Problem Solved
Funny ive never thought that. Pretty easy to figure out. Must be some real smart people 🤔 😉
