Hi Andrew! I was wondering if you had any recommendations for venues with beautiful stone banisters? I’m in love with Botleys Mension, we just can’t afford it as we are wanting a more intimate wedding less than 40 guests. Thanks!
Good question, haven't filmed enough venues in the North of England to be able to include one yet. But we recently filmed a wedding at Durham Cathedral (which doesn't normally allow weddings) and it was stunning.
To be 'stunning' on film it needs both exquisite architecture and an incredible landscape. In which case it would have to be located near hills, mountains, lakes or coast. However to be fully appreciated, the event filming would need to include some aerial shots. Speaking purely as a film-maker I'd consider a castle like Eilean Donan, Bamburgh, Bovey Castle etc. Hope that helps!

Stone banisters always look great! We recently worked at The Langley (Marriott Bonvoy) which was nice. More traditional looking places I can think of right now are Osterley Park & Chiswick House (National Trust). I also recall Roehampton Venues have a building with stone steps, that I imagine would be affordable.Hope this helps! Andrew

Filmed at 600 wedding venues, wow. Which one was the most stunning, or is that too hard a question?
