Honestly one of the hardest lines is when you kill Mendez in this game and he’s like “give my regards to your god”. First time I heard it I was like damn lol
1. RE4 Original : Hanging in the Steel Beam and attack his oppenent with his Claws. 2. RE4 Remake : Having 2 Appendanges that act as a pincer to lift up Burning Objects and throw it to Leon.
My frugalist run wasn't too bad. His lunge after he loses the legs got me most often, hard to predict, especially if you cut off voice lines doing damage.
I never really liked any of the re protags tbh, never disliked any of them either, I liked Ethan but that's cuz he was the protag of my favorite horror game in general [re7]
@@TBCLINQ They didn't cut, just changed him into that pig-headed ganado with the gatling gun on his arm. Still, I prefer the original. He had more of the military vibe of the Island.
Modern Triple A games have to have characters spewing a constant stream of pointless drivel, ESPECIALLY during boss fights, I was afraid of this for this REmake.
@@triplehate6759 It isn't pointless drivel lol and while he definitely talks more than in the og, he isn't a chatter box or anything. That's not a modern Triple A game thing either like what. Most games have the characters talk while they're fighting in general, even in older triple A games. What a pathetic "fear" like grow up lmao.
Yeah... this fight felt kind of inferior to the original, in that regard. Especially since they gave Bitorez Mendez so many lines, when him staying silent was more effective. A time limit would have added a lot of much-needed tension. There's a game called White Day that incorporates those mechanics as part of the final level. It was one of the scariest sections /watch?v=Dobq4leHZsU
Great video! The Bitorez fight in the RE4 remake was really faithful to the original and it's a fantastic battle. In fact, on my latest episode of the RE4 mobile series, I faced off against him and it was intense! Keep up the great work!
This one was annoying, and it didn't help he kept attacking even after he got split. Still just avoid what you can, keep shooting, and have plenty of recovery items. Also glad they kept the hasta luego. 😁
I like how bitores mendenz is a more fleshed out charather in the oringal game he's this creepy bald guy with a raspy voice and laughs for no reason here he's this hulking behemoth of a religious leader with a ultra dedication to his god and Lord saddler plus the grey beard, old gruff Spanish accent and brimmed hat and las plagas amulet also really make his appearance stand out even when he's a mutated centipede bow hes still fastened to his faith and beliefs
The sadder thing is the new lore revealing he was a genuinely kindhearted mayor before the cult took over. Great with kids and worked hard to expand and improve the village while always being accessible for anyone who needed to air their grievances to him.
@@RadSco wow now that is sad what's wielder is the fact that in this version saddlers actually a religious nut while in the oringal game he didn't really care that much about Los ilumanindos that much
If they are flaming boards stay put for a second, wait for him to aim, and start moving right when he throws. If it's barrels just shoot them and they'll explode.
He was scarier when he didn’t talk as much, not sure why they changed that, it kind of ruins his character. But I do like how you can subtly hear the original theme in the background
omg this guy is playing on normal or easy lmaooo. Def not subbing to this channel. Don't lie either because I'm playing hardcore and when he hits you in this fight it chunks your life so hard.
Isn't he just showing off the boss fight? I don't see anything about difficulty unless I missed it so maybe ur on the wrong video, try typing the name of the difficulty you want to see
This is one of those comments that's always hilarious to see due to how much of a blatant lie it is. Don't know how on earth you could've expected more when they didn't make any mistakes the re 3 remake did and vastly improved the OG game.
Trash take. Just played the original before the remake, it's one of lamest boss fights in terms of gameplay. So easy to cheese, so easy to not get hit, Mendez's attack pattern is literally 1 in the original with no deviation from it. You run, turn around, spray him with bullets, turn around, repeat. This one locks you down, forces you to react via button prompt or actions, and adapt to the varying attack patterns based on your location on the stage. He even throws projectiles at you and can close the distance on you. Remake Mendez boss battle is WAY better.
Honestly one of the hardest lines is when you kill Mendez in this game and he’s like “give my regards to your god”. First time I heard it I was like damn lol
I t-baged Mendez while Leon was saying that
Man, Mendez still doesn't realize the danger of red barrels despite being blown up by one. He still tries to throw them.
Because all he wants to do is to kill Leon
Is this your first game in your whole life?
1. RE4 Original : Hanging in the Steel Beam and attack his oppenent with his Claws.
2. RE4 Remake : Having 2 Appendanges that act as a pincer to lift up Burning Objects and throw it to Leon.
As your friendly neighborhood pyromaniac, this is cooler, unless the original is cooler idk haven't played og re4 or seen [most of] it
Bitores Mendez: "Ganados all over the shop... You'll be one of them, sooner or later."
Him throwing the flaming wood was so hard to dodge in fact every attack was
Nahh Mendez once you know his stance and pattern of attacks he’s very easy
My frugalist run wasn't too bad.
His lunge after he loses the legs got me most often, hard to predict, especially if you cut off voice lines doing damage.
his melee attacks are hard, but the stuff he throws are quite easy
To have the skill to backflip during an encounter, then going to pinpoint accuracy is why Leon is the best RE protagonist.
He still can't beat Chris the boulder punching guy
Chris punches a boulder, they meme him to death because it was too ridiculous. Leon does crazy superhuman things, he's a hero. 🤷
I never really liked any of the re protags tbh, never disliked any of them either, I liked Ethan but that's cuz he was the protag of my favorite horror game in general [re7]
He's more talkative than before.
The Original Mendez , was more like a silent type.
The Remake Mendez , was not a silent type .
They made him much more religious fanatic in the remake, just as the Los Iluminados cult as a whole.
Wasnt sure at first but it works. Much less 2 dimensional
I like the remake menendez alot more but i just wish his voice was deeper and alot more "spanish"
Don't forget they cut J.J

MENDEZ IS LOOKING LIKE OLD KRATOS FROM GOD OF WAR
I don't remember the Big Cheese SPEAKING this many lines??? In fact in the original he spoke, like, only two lines???

While also including horror aspects to it as well

Why does he walk so sassy though lol

I woulda liked him keep it short and in his own language, that woulda been scarier

He said it to Mendez in the original too.
I dont like how he instantly transformed without showing, and how his eye fell off, it felt better on the og
I love the remake, but some of the boss fights are underwhelming, I wish they showed more of his actual transformation etc.
The boss fights are far superior than the original. It actually felt like a boss fight than a shooting gallery.
