- Mat is teaming up with England rugby legend James Haskell to help him buy a new electric car!
James recently bought a Land Rover Defender 90, but now he’s had a child he’s realised it's not as practical as he was hoping, so he’s going to sell it and swap it for an electric car!
The question is, which car is right for him? Well, Mat has brought together a choice of four electric cars, and he’s going to run through their looks, interiors and what they’re like to drive so James can choose which is his favourite!
The cars we’ve got on show are a Skoda Enyaq, Nissan Ariya, Kia EV6, and Tesla Model Y, as these all cost around the same as what we would expect the Defender 90 to sell for.
However, the choice doesn’t stop there… In case James is willing to spend a little more, we’ve also brought in a Porsche Taycan & BMW iX M60!
The question is, which will he choose? And more importantly, do you think these are the best 6 electric cars around, or should we have added another one to this video? Let us know in the comments!

This is one of the most fun carwow videos I've ever watched. James Haskell is so entertaining and the rapport between him and Mat talking cars is hilarious. It's like watching two regular every day guys having a laugh and checking out cars.

I’m an American and have never heard of James, but I think this may have been my favorite carwow video ever, as it was so much fun and he was super entertaining! I hope you bring him back again for future videos 👍

Easily one of the best co-hosts you have ever had on CarWow. This guy was both fun and genuine, a real treat. Your chemistry together was both cheeky, fun and entertaining. The Porsche was the winner for sure, glad he choose it!!!

As much as i love the standard review pattern, i do enjoy him mixing it up with a "guest". I enjoyed when mum was on the show but maybe this could be a regular sketch converting people to electric?? Although maybe a bit more real world testing would be good
I was just coming to say this exact thing. Matt has a wealth of knowledge and having someone out of the industry to just be a counterpoint is perfect
100% agree! Would love to see more Videos like the" 3 Cheap SUVs for 2000 Euro"s Video but also this, mixing it up a little.
I also really enjoy Mat'sVideos where he drove to Mainland Europe to drop off, pick up a Car or visit some Event.
Like when he picked up the BMW 850i. I'm also sure i'm not the only one who would enjoy you seeing do Reviews of older Cars and not just the Newest Ones!
And if Mat is ever around Munich and wants to review a Wiesmann GT MF5, and old Maybach 62s or an Artega GT (among some other Cars) that all can be arranged. Lots of our Supercar Owners Club Members are Fans of carwow and would definitely let you drive and review as well as stick of truth them.

Met James before and he is a top bloke with a wicked sense of humour so knew this would be a great video, the Carwow format always works when you involve other presenters for Mat to work with.

Great format in showing a potential customer different vehicles with options that the customer is looking for and in the price range that is right for them. They should add James as officially part of the car wow team, create a separate segment for him and mat to review cars as a duo, matt be the knowledgeable car guy , and James representing the average car enthusiast/ normal person , also representing some of the carwow viewers. I'd watch all day. It would also bring a counter opinion to mats (BMW obsession ) 👀

I don't know who this guy is but he's super entertaining, well informed about cars and doesn't hold back which makes it very entertaining to watch his takes.

Excellent video, James seems really honest. The charging problem is what would get him - can't imagine him waiting at a ecotricity at watford services. That needs to be a part of the experience sadly.

Didn't know who James Haskell was, and don't know a thing about rugby, but what a great video! James was a great sport and had great synergy with Matt. Would happy to have him on again, spot on what actual car shoppers consider.
Carwow is consistently amongst the best, and adding in James today with Mat was fantastic. Natural banter, and James fits in perfectly. Love to see him back with Yanni.

I think this is the best, most fun carwow review ever. Partly because james is seeing all ev tech for the 1 st time and his reactions are so candid and cool.
The best carwow video in the lastfew years. Most composed hosting by the carwow guy, and his guest the rugby lad was a great sport. Also the most informative for a buyer. Absolutely brilliant. Well done to all the team, some very cool shots of the Taycan by the camera fella in the front car. Really enjoyed this.

Seriously guys great video, I watch many of your videos Mat but this one tops the lot, great and fun to watch and made me laugh and it’s an informative car video. Like two mates out having a laugh. James is missing his vacation in life if Freddie is not going back suggest he gives the top gear lads a shout he was natural to watch and looked like he was enjoying and was funny with out trying.
