Just for anyone who doesn't know, other time was Grian and Scar's dark oak Monolpoly in 3rd Life. If you haven't seen the series, who are you? It is literally the best series in the world (well the life series, double life is my fave)

Cubfan proved in his hermitcraft episode that branch/strip mining doesn't give you more minerals to mine compared to cave mining maybe it will work for you as well even though its a different SMP

If you need silk touch, I think in one of Gem’s videos she blocked off some of the bookcases because silk touch can show up at lower enchantment levels
