Peru is really an amazing country. There are so many things to watch or do. Most People think Cuzco or Macchu Picchu, but the whole country is incredible, from the beaches, the jungle, the volcanos......I love Peru

Am i the only one who is wondering how the hell did they build all that @ the cliff. From all the material for the buildings to the beds...How did they even carry that all the way to the top. Just watching them climb to get there was crazy enough. I can't even begin to imagine.
probably via crane and scaffolding. ever seen a skyscraper in the process of being build? probably very similar. Also Kara said 'the foods amazing considering someone had to carry it up' though im pretty sure it gets hoisted up with a pulley rope
They don't carry it up, mostly they carry them down the mountain using ropes, piece by piece. and as eric said, 4 people died in process of building that so its indeed not a easy task.

When I was in Peru I remember driving below this on that road. I was on a school trip and my teacher pointed it out and I couldn’t even see it from where I was sitting in the van. I had to put my head down and look straight up. Crazy high, cNt imagine climbing it,
I spent 24 years in the military, I've jumped out of helicopters, planes, scaled cliff sides, and many more things, but there's no freaking way I would do this for fun.... Also after my time in Afghanistan and Iraq I'll stick with toilets that flush thank you very much!!!
Wow, how completely amazing. Would love to do it, but my 70 year old body probably can't take the climb up (the zip line down, no problem). Wish I had know about this 10 years ago. Enjoy these adventures while you can. AND your parents rock!!!!!

The Peru Sky Lodge has to be the single most unique lodge in the world. Very few people would want to stay in a lodge like this that is way up on the side of a mountain.

The sky lodge on the Peru mountain was looking awesome. The climbing part was nicely done by the owners, and the descending path was with easier zipline routes. It was like you guys stayed with the parents in an Eskimos home. And the morning views were breathtaking
I wondered about that, too. Was like, why would you go up so late? They basically arrived in the dark. Even climbing those steps in the dark...why? Unnecessary risk too. But it looked like a lot of fun!!

Britta Koopmans You should definitely go. Look for Lake Titicaca and try to get a bus into the Amazonas, e.g. La Merced where you can hike into the jungle.

Britta Koopmans You should definitely go. Look for Lake Titicaca and try to get a bus into the Amazonas, e.g. La Merced where you can hike into the jungle.
