Im 27 i had a hip replacement in December 2022. Then had a confirmed infection Feb 2024. I had Revision Stage 1 In April with an ETO. But it failed and had a repeat Stage 1 in September. Its a staphylococcus aureus infection. I don’t know if it has been successful yet. Im taking magnesium, D3, Iron, Glucosamine & Chondroitin supplements. I went into septic shock during my last surgery and the infection travelled up my spine. I needed 5 blood transfusions. Im very anxious waiting to see if the surgery has been successful. Is there anything more I can do to help my body? Im 27 now, Im 51kg and dont smoke or drink. Or have any underlying conditions I’m aware of. Originally had the hip due to his dysplasia.
