    I think scammers are everywhere. Last week I got a phone call from a stranger in California asking for money donation to help raise funds for the local police department. I told the caller I had no money as a result of the phone number marked as "scam likely" on the screen. I then hung up on the caller, not wanting to waste my time.

      Comfortable living in Vietnam is anywhere from $800-1200/month. So if you have $300,000 that will last you 25 years. This is using $300,000/$1000/12 month = 25 years. $1000 was used to account for inflation or increased budget as you also want to enjoy life and not completely live on a strict budget. This is assuming you are renting as you can find many condos for rent around $400-500/month outside of HCM or city center of HCM. There are condos you can buy under $100k if you want to own but that leaves you with less money. Honestly, I think you need at least $500k. As you get older health cost will be a concern. $300k in just cash with no other source of income or no future income is stretching it, assuming you have 25-30 more years to live.

      They have Thai names but they are the merchant class they own everything the Banks big business everything.
      Because of their financial power they have major influence in how the country is run Thailand is basically run by Chinese all their billionaires are Chinese .
      Tops Big C and Mega mart in Vietnam are all owned by Thai Chinese billionaires even Saigon beer is majority owned by Thai Chinese billionaires .
      Saigon before 1975 was the same but after the war many Chinese fled and they don’t have the power they once have

    Hey, im your surgeon. Yep, i went to ho chi minh university. You can trust me. i was awarded the greatest surgeon in vietnam, just look at my certificate. Yep lets all move to vietnam to retire. What a great country that's smaller than California but still has five times the amount of people in poverty.

    • @MistaOneGuy
      @MistaOneGuy 3 місяці тому +1

      Vietnam poverty rate: 4.4%
      California poverty rate: 13.2%
      Vietnam population size: 99,516,563
      California population size: 38,889,770
      You go based on population percentage. Not on the amount of people. You're either dishonest, or you don't understand this detail.
      Try pulling up the literacy rates as well.. those numbers are even more shocking. Vietnam definitely has it more figured out than cali, which is one of the most failing states in the entire united States. By this criteria, Vietnam is doing better than the whole of the United States actually... But this is just math 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @fairview6120
      @fairview6120 12 днів тому

      VN is a developing country trying to better its citizens' lives. The country unfortunately hasn't progressed fast enough because of the laws that don't curb greed and illegal activities that hinder progress. Yes, if you talk about poverty in terms of material/wealth then you're right by the definition of poverty. But in terms of intellectual and critical thinking, the Vietnamese are far better than 40% of pro-Trump Americans who are stupidly allowing an idiotic, inept, and corrupt Trump to become the President of the US that in the world's eyes, is a country of freedom, democracy, and justice for over 200 years. Trump will govern the US like a king, a dictator, and a traitor who will sell our democracy to Russia and China for his own egotistical power and money. Americans who support Trump are stupidly selling our own freedom which has been lasting until Trump came along because of their xenophobia and their obsession that this US is only for Whites.
