Finally, a character-driven movie with two excellent actors! I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Thanks, Brian, for another candid, heartfelt review.
I'll never forget seeing "The Lions for Lambs" trailer when I wasn't even out yet... and just thinking "WHO IS THAT MAN!?" lol. I love that I wasn't the only one. It's been such a pleasure to see Garfield come into his own as a performer... and I can't wait to see this film! Amazing review 😊
I love Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh... two of my favorites so I've been looking forward to this one ever since it was first announced. I'm so glad to hear that it's a good movie.
I’m glad to hear how much you loved this. Sometimes, no matter how much you like the actors, films like this can be downright bad, so I’m excited to hear high praise for it! Looking forward to it now when before I also felt trepidation concerning this one.
I hope it is good. With the cancer, I worry about the sad/dying ending though. Will see it either way. I have not liked Pugh in Oppenheimer, Dune: Part 2 and A Good Person but she was great in Black Widow.
I liked the time jumps because it felt more like remembering or recalling a past relationship. You don’t remember the relationship from the beginning to the end but you remember significant moments throughout that contribute to the full story
I’m not surprised! I absolutely fell in love with the trailer (and it was just the trailer!) in July. I didn’t watch it immediately but a few more trailers came out that month - Joker 2, Anora, Gladiator II - and I liked them, especially the former two, so I thought I might as well watch the trailer for We Live in Time too... and that ended up being my favourite one!
Interesting. I liked Andrew Garfield and Florence Pughs' performance and while it won't happen, they both give nomination worthy performances. I also liked that they handled the material well and in a not overly depressing way. I thought the nonlinear structure took away from the movie though. Also, I wish the ending had been different. Overall, at the end of the year, this is one movie I will probably look back at and say I enjoyed it more than some of the Oscar nominated movies as happens every year.
i love both actors but to say tobias is a complex character who shows a lot of growth feels way too generous. that was one of the films biggest flaws, that despite the charm of the leads and their growing relationship and the sad cancer diagnosis, tobias is like a veneer of a flawless human for almost all of it. i saw nothing other than "man who loves his wife who is dying of cancer" for the whole movie
Everyone Lives in time ! No one Lives outside of time 🤨 What makes this couple so special ⁉️🤨 They might as well called this movie ”we live on Earth ”or ”we breath air ”
I saw this film last year at an early post production screening and hated it. No chemistry between the actors. Too much time jumping and the ending was disappointing. You could tell it was written by a man. Will wait for it to come to streaming to see if they change that ending I saw last year.
Amazing actress idk why or how you could not want to watch a movie with her ? Someone you know look like her or something? What a sad life to live. Amazing film
I’m sorry. I can’t get the words “I like Florence Pugh” to come out of my mouth. I would see this film because, like you, I lust Andrew Garfield. But it’s a no-go for me because she’s in it. I’ve disliked her since “Midsommar,” and I’ve hated Midsommar. To me it’s just plain stupid with beautiful art/set decoration.
looking forward to this one; Florence & Andrew are both wonderful actors, and it’s from the director of Brooklyn
It was magnificent
Brian blushing over Andrew Garfield is all of us, honestly
Fiona Weir is the casting director for both Brooklyn and We Live in Time. The actors she selects always have great screen chemistry.

I hope this is a big hit.
Hearing Florence and andrew’s natural voices was so nice

Thanks for the Andrew Garfield handsomeness meter throughout this review. Im a big fan of him and Florence Pugh, though I didnt love Brooklyn.
We live in time is gonna do great at baftas

This def feels more of box office A24 than Oscar A24 and that's okay

What I like is when a story has been told before, but you are so invested in the characters that it totally works. Big Time!!!!
Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh are probably my two favorite actors right now and I can’t wait to see this
I love the home alone expression you do in your thumbnails 😂
Looks great🎉
I loved the way it jumped around I don’t think this movie would of worked if it was all in order
I’m crying over the trailer

This feels like a sibling movie to we live here.

Stupidest take. She wasn't the director was she!
you must have skipped many great films because she has been busy and in some of the biggest movies of 2000s
