I’ve been watching for years now I love your guys chemistry. I’m a film buff but boy Nick your knowledge and attention to detail is impressive on another level. Always a pleasure watching someone more knowledgeable than myself and Joseph you have the personality and creativity that makes makes it very easy to listen to Pure cadence with you two. I could watch a 3 hour long video with the two of you just talking about films
this was up there on my most anticipated films of the year but i got diagnosed with cancer last week and i’m now considering holding off on watching it. it hits a little too close to home with how young florence’s character appears to be and having a young daughter too. i will however look forward to watching terrifier 3 + your review later this week! you guys are so amazing and i love the podcast too, especially the restaurant section lol
I was let down by this film. How do you have Garfield and Pugh and give them this script? They do the best they can with it , but wow. They deserve another movie together with a better script
I am going to watch. Andrew Garfield always looks like that scruffy-wild-haired-abandoned filthy-parking lot kitten you find under the wheel of your rear tire that you can't help but bundle it up in an old sweater as it squeaky-croaks a teensy meow. Then it falls asleep in your lap driving home. You give it a bath, saying you are going to get this "little floof" a home. . *then* he goes to sleep *INSIDE* your sweatpants you left on the floor....two years later you have GD Chewy deliveries on autopay on your bank statement.
Finally, a 'romantic" film about 2 capable people dealing with illness that's not overdone or full of some corny Lifetime treatment. Garfield did an excellent job in Never Let Me Go. At one point, he let's out this gutteral scream where i lost it. Now that's a movie that had me in tears. Thanks for the review guys! Enjoy the rest of your day.
Can someone make a film about having limited time while NOT being gainfully employed? Or do we only tell stories about people dying when it can be romanticized? Can we tell stories of people who are POOR and dying? Or is that not entertaining enough? Is that simply too dark?
So make it, you can't sit here and tell other people what to do with their creativity. Make it, and I'm not being sarcastic, maybe write the story and sell it.
This movie sounds so good. I could never ever watch it because I would see myself too much in those characters and I don't need that right now😂 thanks for the review as always!!
It's not over dramatic...she just gives birth in a gas station bathroom 😅 Guys, that DOES sound very Lifetime and weepy. But it's a really good sign if this movie can play with those tropes in a way that still engages you --I do want to see it.
I saw another review where they were much more critical regarding this film and my question is was it hard to follow with the scenes jumping around and from what I gathered out of order? Is it worth it to see this? I don’t like when movies play with emotions but I always enjoy seeing Andrew Garfield onscreen as well as Florence Pugh.
Honestly, the trailer didn't make me want to watch this movie. Listening to this review I now definitely want to watch! I always love it when Nick wears his flannel shirts. Joseph, you look equally as great rocking flannel.
Wasn’t interested in watching another blatant romance (because i’m bitter af) although i love both Garfield and Pugh! Now i think i will go see this if i have time ❤ He was sad af about his divorce of course he left with his bathrobe 😂
Oh! From the trailer I thought he was the one that was going to die. Hmmm 🤔 Thanks for the review. It's nice to see a romance movie that takes place after the wedding and a tragic movie that warns you about how it will end.
Joseph answered the "question" of the character wearing a bathrobe outdoors...Crazy and in the moment seems to work for this - nice opinions offeredfor a 'cruel twist of fate' kind of story☺
Pills & potions sound GREAT right about now; my nerve damage is heinously acting up & painful!!!!😩 It’s good to hear of a rom-semicom that got 3 1/2 ⭐️’s from you guys, cuz I trust ya’ll. I don’t love Andrew G. but I can tolerate him if it’s a good film!! Much love & thanks to you guys for getting me thru days & nights like today!🫶🏼
I found this to be a quintessential relationship of ups and downs which made me enjoy the films out of sequence shooting choice. But, I also find it to be a quintessential relationship and why they end. Andrews character is the everyday good guy, she doesn't appear to want a future with, he just so happens to be the flavor of the month. Him speaking of their future before they both begin to invest set her off, she only wanted to try for a kid once she was told she soon wont be able to. He was a safe bet, relationship and family focused. She wanted the cook-off due to her not being able to if she focused on recovery. He supported her a lot and seemingly kept calm through most of it, we don't get to see that level of support from her character.

I agree!
It takes me twice as long to listen to their podcast episodes because their voices are so soothing to me I fall asleep

Sorry to hear that, you will beat this and will come out stronger for doing so!
@@tupa12 thank you so much!❤️
the sudden commentary on her makeup is so funny 😂
Joseph always notices the funniest things. It’s my favorite part of the reviews! 😂
Thank god, you guys always deliver for my spoiler hungry ass.

I've been wondering about this one. Interested to hear your take. Let's go!

Not entertaining
@@williamerazo3921I think it could be entertaining
Those are documentaries. That’s real life for most

Love this review. Quiet and lovely. I am so glad that you have positive things to say about this film. You guys are the best out there!

19:43 Literally watched this movie today, on a Sunday, in the afternoon, of the fall in late November.

Thanks for an excellent review!
I can't wait for the terrifer 3 review lol
This isn't my usual genre but I want to see this because of the leads. I still might wait for streaming though.

So Joseph has not seen Brooklyn, what are you waiting for man ?
Andrew's emotions carried this film. He was/is magnificent, as always.
The Florence Pugh cgi whilst skating was an abomination

I love the Goldfinch
I had to check out this review even though I guessed what the film was about.
This film brought many tears to my eyes.

As an extremely sensitive person, I don’t know if I can embarrass myself in the theater watching this 😂
I want to actually see this film. A mature romance with actually amazing actors? Rare. Thanks for the review!
I struggle watching movies when people are sick😢
Wow I've never been this early
This sounds like a nice date movie, thanks
WE LIVE IN TIME…BOTTOM TEXT
I’ve not seen any trailers for this film, all I saw was a picture of the couple with a plastic horse who stole their spotlight 😂🐴
I cried through the whole movie. I think it will make women cry. I liked it!
