I love how everyone is like flying and turning upside down and flying through the air and then Lars is just running from one kit to the other
But for once, he was on time...
The stunt is his age. Could have pulled a hamstring on the way.
Yet this is by far the best :)
@@louisjamin7195 It was actually practical.
I actually liked Lar's stunt. That was funny. And Joey and Tommy, WOW.
"sid hangs on for dear life" LMAO THAT TITLE KILLED ME
same 😂
WatermeIown Just one thing : they could've put London 2002 or Download 2009 but opted for this crappy quality ....
WatermeIown You broke your f*cking feet Sid
Do u even know him?
@@hollyvelasquez5361 Sid looks terrified yet excited
Tommy Lee will forever own this category!!
***** but he will be below most who have never even played before in terms of musical ability.
Steam Junky his drumming is great imo
TRUE
Fkn legend
Tommy Lee is a fucking idiot
Interesting thing about the Who's stunt, it gave Pete Townsend ear damage.
Stage crew said, "Blow up the drums? Whatever you say..." and loaded waaay too much explosive under there. Got Townsend's bell rung and it never stopped.
Check me on this, but I think maybe Buddy Rich did a rising kit stunt decades before any rock band. Not sure.
+Yulan Ottenfwicke I think what happened was Keith went back and loaded more powder after the stage crew had already loaded it up. Keith moon was notorious for blowing stuff up, \m/
l've read somewhere that Townsend started smashing his guitars after one partircular episode in which he got frustrated of it being outta tune due to a deffective neck (Ricks are infamous for this), not precisely because he wanted to be a badass
and Keith's arm was slashed open by a flying cymbal
Entswistle simply watched
Awesome drum spectacles, for sure....but honestly...Lars running to the second kit (1:12) and 'Tallica all bangin' together at the same time: one of the most METAL things EVER!! Too awesome!
+gounderus Totally agree.
+gounderus yeaah man i agree too!
+gounderus I talk a lot of shit about Metallica but yeah, that shit was TIGHT!
Yeah the first time I saw it i though it was the best, because it was simple and it was a bit of a challenge, and then the band making those metal poses are AWESOME!!!
+gounderus I thought it was the lamest of all of them. I'm not from the US though so I didn't drink the 'tallica KoolAde
Bought their first album when it came out, seen all of their shows, worked on a tour they played on and just happen to be wearing an old Metallica concert tee right now but I don't get wet when I hear their name mentioned the way many do.
I think Lars is a mediocre drummer at best, compared to others out there, he can hold time but he's boring as all fuck when it comes to creativity and has the worst snare tone I've ever heard.
For a moment I thought Lars’ drum stunt was gonna be ‘He played a song all the way through without screwing it up.’
shush
NOTHING BEATS LARS RUN ONTO THE OTHER SIDE ON TIME! still gives me chills!
ALL of them need to thank Keith Moon and Peter Criss. They set the bar and broke the barriers for crazy shit that drummers could do.
I love that tommy basically just has a roller coster and the drums are the seat lol
Flying drums? Drumsets spinning around in mid air? A drumset roller-coaster?
I have no idea how these people even keep playing while that happens.
Manthan Shah Peter Criss from KISS started the flying Drumset when he was doing his drums solos
Tommy lee has like 3 other crazy stunts that weren’t listed, he spun upside down and sideways while shredding in a glass box
@@gabifrancis7414 Oh wow. I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me about this! Sorry for replying a year late btw!
@@natemisaras4076 Whaaaaaa
@@theevildrummingsithlord1492 it’s okay
I was at an Opeth concert last Wednesday, and I was just hypnotised throughout the gig by Axe's drumming. And at the end, he pulls out this insane drumsolo. Axe doesn't need any crazy rollercoaster or what have you, to look impressive. My favourite drummer for sure.
+CeetjeBeetje Anyone said opeth??That is the best fucking band in the whole universe
+TheFashionbugs What do you mean? I can't tell if you're being positive or negative. It's fine either way, of course.
How about Neil Peart simply playing. That's as epic as it gets with the drums! :)
Yesssss
74 torino Isn’t every drummer just a shit version of Buddy Rich?
74 torino except he’s not anecotistical douchebag. If you distespect Neil you’re obviously a moron who knows nothing about music. Stick to listening to hiphop, kid
Agreed! You can have all the rollercoasters, kits that move, turn, and all that, and there's nothing wrong with that. But talent beats theatrics every single time!
@@EATSLEEPDRIVE2002 I agree with you on that statement! Some "people", if ya wanna call 'em that, seem to have nothing better to do, than to bad-mouth the Legends. Those who are no better than that, need to go hide in a cave somewhere, stay there until they learn to get a life, then come back, and learn to show people respect!
Lars Ulrich's run was the best, so simple yet so epic lol
and perfect timing
I remember the first time I saw that and was amazed :-) Now, not so much but still pretty cool.
I remember my friend only had the first VHS tape and it faded out at the beginning of Four Horsemen. We waited so long for him to get the other tape from his cousin and watched this part over and over once we did. We thought it was the coolest thing ever.
In drum stunts is obviously Tommy Lee!!
just not drumming.
Joey: Vertical drumming!
Tommy: Roller Coaster drumming!
Lars: Running to other drums
That's harder to do.
This is all cool, but my favorite Drumming moment will always be at a local concert I saw with the teenage band Experience just this year. They broke a snare drum during a song and needed to buy time to replace it. They did so with a 5 minute drum solo. It went very quickly from impressive, to comical, to completely awesome.
John Entwistle's face is priceless
You can have all these extravagant rotating, levitating, spinning drum kits but you’ll never be as badass as Lars running to the second kit.
Tommy is Undisputedly the king of drum stunts
Lars is cool quick on his feet!
That's because he wanted to be a tennis pro. :^)
Man I dont have the love for Lars cause yeah, he aint the best drummer but that thing he did, running to a second kit and bang together the same time as he sits his ass down, I have to admit that was some awesome shit. Way better than that rollercoaster gimmick shit.
metallica suck balls my shit sounds better
Thefatman Optics well congratulations.
+Thefatman Optics someone only listens to justin beiber
Why? Cause he wanted to be paid for music he made?
+Jason Schwerkolt hes a shit drummer, any kid with decent technique and rhythm can out drum lars lol, hes the slow kid that the rest of the band lets hang out with them because they feel bad
You forgot the greatest stunt of all. Lars Ulrich pretending to be a drummer
Hahahaha!!! Someone says it
Metalhead123 :D
Metalhead123 This just made my fucking day!
Give this man a beer.
That just restored my faith in youtube
Yoshiki from X Japan should have been on this list, specifically "The Last Live" performance.
xScottyallx the drum break during the song Dahlia? Oh man that shit was cool, but wait, no one here knows X Japan 😑
you do have to have talent to play upside down and not throw up..lol
I saw the cruecifly last year on their final tour. It was badass.
I saw it too which tour date where you at?
trevor edmunds The September show in Dallas at AAC
trevor edmunds o o lol l popp ĺ0
q
I saw them at Rupp arena in Lexington
2:45 everyone rocking out and having a good time. sid hanging off the side 'nah im all good'
1:25 *John Entwistle was like BRUH*
Before I even saw this vid I thought Lars Ulrich’s drum run
Lars running to the second kit? What's so amazing about that?
well it's more amazing than all of the fucking flying drum risers, which technically aren't stunts
Lars Jacobsen Flying drums and exploding shit is more amazing than running to a second kit C:
He has to get to the second kit in time with the music, if not, james will have to play that riff to many times and it will sound of.
Eivind S You don't really need to be an expert to do that.
No one said you have to, but its an awesome stunt, and thats what this video is about.
Best and most honest of drum stunts, Keith blowing up the kit!
ROFL I forgot how funny that bomb in the bass drum stunt was. Keith moon was a madman
Are you kidding ????? No Peter Criss?? No one else had a levitating drum kit up until Kiss did!!!! Motley Crue bought their stage set from Kiss!!!
+Clinton Scott I saw a lot of bands, never saw a levitating drum kit... Who are you talking about?
+RaTz Crue Word!!!! Crue 4 ever!!!
Are u kidding me Peter wish he was as good as Tommy
And now Motley Crue sold it back to Kiss
No Peter Criss or Carl Palmer? Peter elevated into the air before anyone on the list.
+The YWC Destruction Yes, KISS was an original in a lot of respects. Peter Criss was my first drum hero even though I love it all. I think most people here forget its only Rock and Roll and meant to be enjoyed not debated.
:)
Yeh i also missed peter criss
actually, i think Mick Mars' first band White Horse did it first in 1974 i think. His name was Jimmy Valentine or something like that. the video is on UA-cam
+Dylan Alvarez it was Jack Valentine
+Dylan Alvarez Sorry, but like Eddie Van Halen and tapping, someone may've done it first, but the one to broke the doors down for those that followed is usually the guy that got a huge amount of popularity and changed the game. Tapping was done way before Eddie, but Eddie made it and essential part of every guitar players repertoire. After Peter, every drummer had to have a crazy drum solo spectacle.
Tommy Lee makes the list three times! The very first clip is the most iconic for all time.
Yoshiki from X Japan has a pretty cool moving drum kit
Lock_Driver simple, they don't know him
So which one of these drummers were dragging or rushing?
+BlazingVideos Was it your tempo?
+BlazingVideos Jordison as always.
Uh I don't know Mr Fletcher
BlazingVideos i
Mitchell Morgan well then WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY SO?!!?!!!
Tommy is awesome!!!
Tommy Lee and Slipknot need a round of applause
They all ( well not Keith Moon ) owe a debt to Peter Criss, and they all did their own thing to amazing excess. Tommy Lee definitely is the king of this category!
destroying instruments makes me so angry..some people can't even afford them damnit!
Champak Das its their money they can do what they want with it
@@spectratioMaybe it is more about treating resources respectfully and not wasting them. Or something.
You won't like the who
Im with you! In that Who clip I cringed when I saw Townsend trying to smash that Gibson ES 335 guitar, man those things are not cheap and in another one he had been playing a beautiful Les Paul for the entire show, so it was not just some back up guitar, and when the concert ended he threw the guitar real high in the air and then failed to catch it and it came crashing to the stage.Judging from his reaction 1) the guitar broke and 2) he had no intention of dropping it lol.
Same, I can't even afford drums, and I want a 5 piece pearl drum set then upgrade to 8 when I get the money, and Joey Jordison was my inspiration.
I like that amazing stunt by Levon Helms that turned Bob Dylan from a folk singer into a rock in roll god.
Other drummers: pyrothenics, rollerscoasters, suspended in the air
Lars : r u n
Tommy Lee always outdid himself each time...The Crucifier was laughably insane!
I love that Roger, Keith and Pete are destroying their equipment and John is standing there
Yeah with his bass close to his body, almost as if he's saying: don't worry my love, it's going to be all right. Bass players are special 🤣🤣🤣
He was the King of Thunder. But, otherwise, he always carried himself with a quiet dignity. Sort of the anti-Keith Moon. Music lost a true great when he passed.
@@forgoatusbm5674 Well said
THERE****************
XJapan's Yoshiki has some cool stunts too
CISSAN but no one knows Yoshiki, We Are X
CROWD SURFING DRUMS FROM TWENTY ONE PILOTS! Josh literally plays in the audience.
At 1:51 - stood on a drum being held up by the audience and did a trust fall off of said drum.
Yeah..... so impressive
I knew Joey would be in here :)
Haha, sid hangs on for dear life . That made me laugh xD
+SonnyShredzIt Wasn't even Sid. That was Chris.
+Lars Nick i noticed that aswell
+Lars Nick no, it was sid. if you look at the mask at all you can see there is no dick nose on it.
Dylan H Yeah well, I guess we have different opinions here. But it is not that important, so who cares anyway. :D
+MrOnionCock If only your dad had pulled out, you stupid idiot. Stop wishing for death upon others, even if you don't like the band.
Sid "I'm not supposed to be here" Perfect song timing haha!
1:30 I present permanent hearing loss
3:03 What if the drum sticks accidently fell off of his hands?
I knew it that joy jordison will be here
The ultimate drumming challenge: play on a gigantic, 150 drum and cymbal set, blindfolded, on a spinning platform, sixty feet off the ground, wearing baggy pants, a baggy shirt, and a large jacket, using drumsticks that weigh at least a pound each, all while singing.
The dude who set the kit on fire just left all of the mics and stands there too
Meanwhile Carter Beauford, Danny Carey and Gene Holgan are leaving the theatrics out of it and playing good music
Are you saying NONE of these people play good music? I'm a major fan of Danny Carey and of course, Tool. But to say something like that is ignorant, these drummers are just having fun and making the show that much more exciting. Some people do not use their heads.
SomeoneWitSkill I'm not familiar with tommy lees drumming or the bands hes been in so I cant comment on his three entries specifically and the same goes for mutemath. However, the Joey Jorrdinson solo is sloppy as hell, Lars Ulrichs drumming is a joke in the metal community, Travis Barker overplays his music and is overrated, green day is green day so tre cool gets no love from me and slipknots percussionists provide next to nothing to the band. The whos drummer was legit though
***** Once again you're NOT seeing what the point of this is. Please pay attention, this video is NOT showing skill. This video is NOT showing who has better music. This video is showing exactly what the title says "10 amazing drum stunts". As for your opinions of these drummers, that is your opinion on them.
***** How is Joey's solo sloppy he gotten even better with time.
*****
Plus the percussionists in Slipknot to add power and a tribal element.
If you had waited about 5 months or so, Josh Dun would be on this list.
That Mutemath show at the Tabernacle in Atlanta is awesome.
How the fuck do I stop watching these videos.
No Yoshiki, but Lars Ulrich running from one kit to the other? Hm... Interesting...
zerosonico finally saw an X Japan fan in here, WE ARE X! And lol these guys probably don't even know Yoshiki
You try that. He had to run fast enough to get the timing right. That isn’t easy
Yeah,Lars is one of the best Metal Drummers, put yout hate in the ass :')
3D-SBS BEST X-TREME HD videos we already know you arent smart due to the fact you cant use a space bar, and lars ulrich can barely even keep tempo these days so he is not "one of the greatest metal drummers" genius
3D-SBS BEST X-TREME HD he's good but you cant even put Lars next to any great drummer. Put him next to Danny Carey and Lars would look pathetic
Tommy lee wins cause he invented drum stunts
sup jesus, i thought u knew everything? Keith Moon was the original insane drummer/stunt drummer. His may have not been glamorous with lights flashing, but he was the first to do it, with his crazy blowing up drums, dancing around them etc.
Buddy Rich did the playing-upside-down stuff before Tommy Lee.
+whilemyguitarblowsup sorry guess im a rookie haha
Jesus Christ 0.o Jesus Christ, the rookie, never would have guessed
Sorry, lame.
omg drums on fire, that's so sick, i wish i could do that.
2:50 Saw them live on that tour in 2008, awesome concert!
R.I.P. Joey Jordison
ohh Joeyy...
I love that distortion effect they had!
Every stunts was cool in here
That moment when tommy lee is so awesome that he gets three spots on a top ten list
where's spooky Jim and his crowd surfing set?
the.notorious_kk7 tons of bands do that
the.notorious_kk7 this is also a channel for metal and rock music...
the.notorious_kk7 I like twenty one pilots but loads of people do that 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
that shit with lars and keith moon was stellar
I know it isn't metal but I like when Josh Dun gets the smaller drum kit and plays it while surfing on the crowd.
I was waiting for it xD
JOEYYYYY
YES!
Lars Urilch >>>>> all
stop smoking crack
rondre molo whooooshhhh
KEEEIITH MOOOON!!!! 💥💥💥
the crucify! That just might the coolest/craziest invention i have ever seen.
Of course tommy lee takes up half the chart Mötley Crüe fuckin rocks
Thomas Chumley Tommy Lee REALLY rocks. The rest of the band doesn't. Sorry, juzst my opinion.
Adrian Schmidtke ummm... mick mars
anth4x Ok.
Hahahahahahahahahah Mötley Crüe rocks? Don't make me laugh. Tommy lee is an amazing drummer though
+Thomas Chumley Long live the Crue
Burning a drum kit or any other instrument: NOT COOL. Not cool at all.
john doe hell no
*****
Yeah, well, maybe only Hendrix....
but I think its... Tré Cool ;)
john doe I think I see what you did there
yes, no cool, very hot infact
I just loved how John entwistle was just starting at them
i like how all the stunts are like cool flying saucers and coasters and then theres sid wilson hanging on for dear life lmao
I think Josh Dun should be on here for his drum surfing
Chloe Red +6483532632632
tommy lee"s drum stunts win hands down that was wicked awesome
Travis barkers drum solos are awesome I’m so glad I got to see one
Those drum-roller-coasters look fun.
Tommy Lee could have been this whole list
LOL Joey Jordison and his tipping kit? Tommy Lee did that in the 80's.
As much of a tool that he is, he's the only win here. 4 stunts? 5?
All others are amateurs or copy cats.
Because Keith Moon of The Who is a copycat. Sure. Are you really being serious?
TheWitchOvAgnesi Keith Moon did what Tommy Lee DIDN'T do: he blew up his drum kit and gave himself and his band mates injuries and slight hearing loss.
I have seen Tommy`s stunts live and it was really impressing for me. And anyway, I love Motley Crue :)
I love this
Tommy lee is on 3 times
Tommy Lee compensating for his lack of talent...
Amazing!
Yeah!
Lars playing his older sings right would be an amazing trick.
Deana Rupe he can, it’s only bandwagon jumpers like you that say he can’t just cause he fucked up a few times like every musician ever. This is just one example where he proves he’s still a beast on drums m.ua-cam.com/video/q4UZS8mGDTk/v-deo.html
Lars Ulrich, running to a second kit only to suck at drumming even more.
***** lars rocked at that time. he still rocks for me
Lars was better a while ago
And justice
for all was the last good album
I know it is a little different, but what about Josh from Twenty One Pilots? I think its crazy that he has the crowd hold his full drum kit as he does a drum solo
This a metal channel...
Sorry there is no pop music here.
No talent
Many bands do that. That's not unique
The Erratic Drummer the who's not a metal band lol
Love that Tommy Lee was the thumbnail of this video
so cool to see mutemath on a list!!!
I like Tommy's Stunts and Lars' Stunt
Probably could have mentioned one of the earliest drum stunts from Carl Palmer during his time with ELP. Or Godsmack's duel drumming.
The last one was just insane...
Now that’s Kick ass stunts
