I don't know why people are making fun of the artist's pronunciation of pastel rather than appreciating the work And that is how 'oil pastels' are pronounced in south asia😒
Hi i m army and know how to draw im trying to draw something about bts do you have snap or insta so that i can show you my drawing sorry if i sound creepy but i just want armys to be my friend
I don't think they're making fun of the artist nor of her piece. It's just that the brand she used has a name similar to a private part/malicious word in the Philippines. Fyi. 😊
Don’t be judging her on how she is pernounsing oil pastels instead appreciate the hard work put into this video and also you should appreciate that she is actually giving good tips!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I recently got into oil pastels after receiving them for my bday, and your video helped me greatly! Cotton swab blending is much more feasible than tissue paper blending or finger blending imo. Great tutorial!
This really helped me. I didn't realize the that pressure had to be rightly applied and my drawings were coming out with white spots and the color wasn't popping out. This is new for me and I was treating it like a color pencil instead of what it is. Thank you.
I've always preferred finger blending over using tissue paper and I use the same brand of oil pastels. Idk that's just how it works for me. Tissue paper ends up making the colors too light plus I kind of find it satisfying to rub my finger over the colors. 😂 It's fun kind of. I don't mind the mess.
Great video. I started painting with pastels just last week and I'm LOVING it! I just didn't know how to blend the colors and you really helped me a lot. Thank you!
Instead of a tissue a less messy and more precise option is a tortillon or a blending stump, they’re fairly cheap and really nice tools for most mediums.
You have no idea how much this video helped me! I kept trying to work with oil pastels but didn't achieve the results I desired and I reached the point of almost giving up until I found this video. Thank you so much!
This is a very good instructions but,i've watched a lot of art works using oil pastels and they don't usually do as you say it to be done.! For me this a great idea if you have tons of oil pastels to waste.
I didn't know I needed this video until now. Whenever I use oil pastels, I just wing it. I never really thought there were ways of usung it properly (😒 honestly, as I've started getting interested in watercolors, gouache, actually just painting in general, I learned there were techniques to it. I should've known by now.)
Thank you so much. I was about to do my first oil pastel drawing and I saw that UA-cam recommended this video and when I watched this . This helped me . Thank you so much Iyan
I already knew all of this but still came to watch! But i prefer to put the lighter colour first before putting darker colours and i find blending with tissue paper the best method to blend the colours But i still liked your video
Ooo that's great I think we can make good drowning with soft pastels only. But if we use oil pastel properly it can give better results & thank you so much Lyan ashafq
This technique which she told is the best technique ever. Yeah the pastels will finish quickly but the output is more important and impressive. Hoping a like❤️❤️
Me: afraid opening my new oil pastels that are expensive and i actually do digital art lol Edit: bruh this is a year ago, I didn't like this medium, switched to watercolor and colored pencils instead
there aren't dos and don't with art because every technique and method we use can create magic. enjoy your art, whatever form it takes. that said, I'm sure this helped many people looking to switch to this more blended look so great video :)
A short, yet informative video. Great job! Thanks for the tips, I always had blending issues and your video helped a lot! Thanks and please make more videos!
I had no clue what to do with oil pastels but you explained the technique so well. Thanks!! I have confidence to start using the medium!! Great video! Btw don’t let the comments change your pronunciation of pastels...embrace your accent :) You are bilingual (maybe even multilingual if you know one more)
Thankyou so much sister for helping, you know what whenever i do drawing with oil pastels my drawing teacher always scold me that how bad you are doing and always i get B grade but after watching this video i always get A+ and my teacher was also saying that your drawing is getting so beautiful and clear, thanks a lot 🙏☺
At my school when we are in art class,we were told to press lightly then smooth the part where your coloring after we would but paper on it then spray water instead of blending it in we had to press on the parts of the wet paper then take it out it actually come quite beautifully.
This is what I wanted!! I don't know how I'll thank you!! But as much I can say in comment, thank you very much. It's really helpful for me... Thanks a lot!! And if u make more videos like this, it will be helpful.. not only for me , some of others also. I think. Please make more videos on these types of drawing tips. And those who want the videos what I said, please just give a like. It will also help the channel to know. ☺️
