I got mine last week and....THIS IS NOT LIKE ANY OF THE OTHER STANGS I'VE OWNED. This is by FAR THE BEST. THE FLAT PLANE, TORQUE/HP AT 8K RPM AND REAR GEAR COMBO IS INSANE. I beat my buddy in a straight line. He was in a 14GT500. He has to shift right when I'm at peak torque. You can beat a lot of other muscle using this advantage.

Zl1 owner here. I drove one of these before I purchased my Camaro. Absolutely loved everything about this car, the exhaust note, interior quality, and the fact that it revs so incredibly high. But the one thing it lacked was the torque. It doesn’t have that ass in the seat feel that I get from my zl1. I love the feeling of being almost scared of my cars. I felt like I had too much control over this car, if you understand what I mean. So the Zl1 is perfect for me. The hellcat being a close second choice as I am a previous scat pack owner.
Ever since this was debuted I wanted one and I probably will forever , never seen any bad reviews on this car and I've always been a mustang fan. Hopefully I can get this soon and get rid of my 2012 stang

Um, how about 480 to the wheels. That is completely garbage. These cars even with headers/e85/tune are only putting down 550 to the wheels. Pathetic if you ask me.

Exactly. It's just about respecting each other. For example I own a Mustang and your hellcat has a faster 0-60 than my car, faster ¼ mile times, almost 300 more HP...etc. Does that mean I'm going to hate on you? No, you have a sick car that you worked hard to get. You know?

My dad had a 89 Mustang a long time ago so I guess I'm going back to the family!
Big thumbs up for making this video. I only know you as the Dodge car wash guy so I was pleased to see you expand outside your bubble.
Let me ask you this. If you made a top 3 sports car list that included the GT350 for $60K what would the other 2 sports cars be? Lets just say the criteria includes a good amount of horse power, track performance, ride & room comfort. It would be interesting as to what the other car prices would be. I mention room comfort because, like all sports car enthusiasts, my wife and I just took a weekend road trip in our mustang GT. We thoroughly enjoyed the creature comforts of the car. including 2 cup holders, heated & cooled seats and the passenger seat recline capability all the way to the rear seats. It was cruising at its best.

I really love the 09 GT500s. I'm biased, but I find it to be extremely comfortable and easy to drive while also being brutally fast and fun to drive.

The new 2017 Camaro ZL1& GT350 are for sure the leaders!
The hellcat is plenty comfortable (and fast) but will not turn lap times anywhere close to those other two. It's hard to find anything better for that price range!

I test drove a base GT automatic for almost 1/2 the price of the GT350 and was pretty impressed. Although one thing it lacks is monstrous torque.
DogDaybreak I agree. I drove a 15 the other day to see if I maybe want to get one and I was disappointed. Nice car but that torque shove is just not there.... aftermarket can fix that tho.
Yes aftermarket can surely fix that: buy a Scat Pack.

Gt350 is a monster for the price. There's so much to choose from in this day and age that's very attainable and crazy performers ! Pretty sweet

If you don't believe me, just hop on eBay to see dozens of GT350s with Buy-it-nows priced under $60,000.
On the other hand, the GT350R model is a whole different story. Good luck finding one for under $99,000. For me it wasn't worth paying an extra $40,000 for carbon fiber wheels, a bigger rear wing, and no back seat.
stylac most, if not all are used. Also many are 2016 tech package cars which would be the least desirable along with the base. With that said, there are new msrp deals out there. I paid msrp for my track package car last April and was able to order the car to my specs.
It looks like the prices have changed a little bit since I last checked, but there are still some new 2017 models selling for under $60k

The GT-350 were recalled also for an oil line fitting,one caught on fire because of it, no big deal. A friend has one and Ford told him not to drive it until they fix it. Ford is supposed to have the new fittings ready in January...LOL
I traded my C6 Z06 for a GT350. The Z06 is also a great american sports car as well hard to let it go wish i was able to keep that awesome LS7 engine. This is car is very special, hard to explain unless you get a chance to drive and own. American muscle that handles, sounds and performs as it should. The package. Daily driver or the track. Its American. Thanks for sharing.
There's two tunnels where I live. I usually avoid them like the plaque, but when I get one these babies I won't be able to avoid the temptation.

The key thing with this car is balance. Balance! Its the one aspect that so many manufactures get wrong, and the few that do are well known for. Like Ferrari. What i mean by balance is that every aspect of the car from its engineering to its driving dynamics ,power and braking all work assisting one another in a unified goal. Harmony, balance. Many performance cars have tons of power but who's chassis or suspension is inadequate to handle. This is what DIY tuning and aftermarket performance kits often result it. Simply installing parts is not the key, each part must be tuned to an overall unified goal. In the past Mustang Tuner Saleen was well know for creating mustangs that out performed the likes of ferrari and porsche. they started from ground up working on the mustangs chassis and threw their racing experience in FIA GT and SCCA GT endurance racing, infused that racing dna into their offerings. Their cars were never about drag racing straight line antics like Roush. Theyre cars preceded what we see here with the Shelby GT350. Back then, people only understood dragracing and many could not appreciate what saleen cars were all about. not the strip, but track. Saleen mustangs were created for the track. they drove nothing like a normal mustang.

Get one! Especially if you enjoy driving into crowds of people and crashing as you pull out of cars and coffee.

I love these cars, especially the 350R. I couldn't find one for the right price so I went with a 2015 Z28 and am happy. If I find a 350R for a reasonable price I will be trading in the Z pronto! Nice video.

Why did you get the 1LE instead of GT350? Did it just come down to price and hard to justify the extra cost for the GT350 based on everything you get in the 1LE?
Don't compare this to the c7. This needs to be compared to the z28 and you can tell me what's faster around a track?
I heard that 1st gear takes you all the way to 60mph, why didn't you do a 1st gear pull from 30 and a second pull from ~60 to get the full experience?

Qua Pro Pro I've only been driving stick for 2 months but i know what he did wrong, when shifting he dumped the clutch without getting back on the gas fast enough.. the way you ease off the clutch as you get back on the gas really matters for smooth shifting at lower gears because lower gears have more torque than higher ones.
Also the higher the rpm the easier it is to shift smoothly, seeing as the gt350 revs to 8200 rpm, he probably shifted too early for how quickly he got off the clutch.
or.. he probably doesn't have a good feel for clutch which is understandable because he doesn't own the car and has no experience with it.
its under $50,000 before it hit dealership. I seen a dealership trying to sell this car for $85,000 in GA
For 2017 they no longer offer the "base" model that was under 50k the base model now starts mid 50's.. They can be had for sticker. Just have to do your research.

I see these cars (not base model) for around 60k, that price tag shows up on the window sticker price thing so maybe they add the markup afterwards? I don't know how dealerships work when it comes to markup
Saw one of these used for $43.5k and a Tesla Model 3 Long Range Boost Upgraded for $41k. Really undecided with these two cars. I mean their both pretty cool but i would really love to own a manual at some point.

Just drove the shelby, found the lack of low end torque not as visceral vs the c7 I felt way more adrenaline punching it, plus the exhaust sounds twangy tweet tweet vs grumble.

Got my GT350. It isn't faster than the hellcat on a drag strip but it eats it whole on a twisty road course.

I spec'd out a 2017 GT 350 on Ford's website, and it came in at right around $60,000. If a dealer wants more than that - I'll tell them to bite me, and I'll order a loaded 2017 Chevy ZL1 Camaro for $67,000. (It outperforms the GT 350 anyway.)

Honestly I never listened to it. Was buying listening to that exhaust! I'd assume being the year 2016+ that all stereo's on cars in this price range sound good. The normal 5.0 stereo sounds good to me!
Oliver I don't see the point of buying a car and just using it on the weekend. It only take one idiot to run into you on the freeway and destroy your car. So then you would be out of a car you never used and never really enjoyed it. Cars are meant to be driven not sitting in a garage if I had a $1,000,000 car you best believe I would be driving the shit out of it. If I paid that much idgaf about resale value I'm paying for the experience .

Nice looking Mustang this is how all Mustangs should look, Not like a Fusion, The GT350 is a fine hair better performance than a Camaro SS that has a starting price of 37k so Ford should have this car starting price at 39k.
Newton Washinton ahhh, actually the GT350 is on par with the Z28 Camaro not the SS. Camaro 1LE and GT PP are comparable.
