Happy Birthday to one of my favorite historians! I love your books Miss Goodwin! You make me feel that there is still hope for this world. That the events today have been here before and we got though it and will again. I really hope so! I am passionate about history, but I have to say my favorite of all your books is Same Time Next Year! Your book about growing up loving the Brooklyn Dodgers when they really were the Brooklyn Dodgers! A wonderful memoir!! Thank you!

[ repost, ps : ] Speakng of the revolution... a tarif on imported tea to cover war/defence against a rival foreign beligerant would receive such resounding support in today's Washington it wouldn't even make _Democracy Now's_ twitter feed.

You mention that you don't care about the inequitable distribution of wealth held by elites at (approx. 59:00l) as you then go on to mention additional aspects of inequity and inequality. (topic: tribalism).
To your point I wish to mention for the record that inequity in our country is based in economics. Money is the core of white supremacy and racism in America, the most enduring and egregious expressions of tribalism.
What other prize could support enslavement since 1619 in its various forms and permutations!
I love history and your contributions are most welcome and add to the depth and breadth of my understanding as I write about our cultural cancer; Racism.
I am not seeking to throttle you by any means. Rather knowing words matter and how influential your spoken and written words are in the American lexicon, I am compelled to address this "elephant" in the room. Further, I have hope my remarks will be welcomed, rather than categorically dismissed because I am not the "correct" messenger, since you express a deep affinity for Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt whose life's work included dissolving racist policies and processes.
If you wish to refer to illuminating resources in this area:55555555455555545555554555455555545555555555455555545555555555555454545555555555555555545545455554545554555454555455455545545545554545555554
