Excellent video brother! So stoked I got to be a guest on your channel. I thought this idea of yours are doing aedc comparison was great. I'm still in the process of trying to get my SD card fixed so hopefully there will be more videos coming with you as a guest on my channel. If anyone wants to check out the video of our camping trip, go to my channel (Irish Zombie Nation), click the videos tab, and it's one of the most recent videos posted. James and I drink a lot of whiskey and had a great time. Here is a link if you're able to copy and paste: ua-cam.com/video/VoNFiA_1j1Q/v-deo.html There was a lot of shenanigans going on, that's for sure! Once again James, very honored to be on your channel. Hope everyone enjoyed this video.
Wow, you guys carry a lot of stuff. I did just get that mini OLight and that is really sweet. I carry a small fixed blade in my pocket and attached that along with the bead.
Great vid guys. Was good to see the variances in EDC items .... mostly them same purposes with different actual items. IZN - liked that butane lighter .... great idea for directional flame ...
James I completely agree with what you said about wearing a watch. I wear one every time when I leave the house. Like Leo I feel naked without one lol. The Timex Weekender suits you very well.
I am sooo jealous of that gorgeous 1911 (in a good way). Just fyi, I recently needed a small EDC light . After A LOT or research, I didnt go w the olight i3t as it only put out 100 plus lumens, I FOUND the Lumintop Tool AA/14500 battery FL. It comes w two different types of tail caps; click on/off and a magnetic twist on & off. The UI is truly brilliant, n has a diffuser that really works plus lanyard, coming in at 500 lumens for less than $20. I'm only mentioning this bec I have rarely found such a FANTASTIC piece of EDC gear. Blows that olight away. Also you can use regular batteries in a pinch. I want to share w Our Community when I find gear that is truly great AND affordable. Then we will save enough $ for a 1911, lol (I wish). Thank you for sharing your EDC vid, peace Brothers. Btw we hat a total power out yesterday and I was able to do everything I needed to do just using this flashlight, I didnt have to break out my 2000 lumen Klarus X11GT which is another awesome flashlight, I sold my Warrior to buy it and had money left over. Please keep the vids coming.
Yup, den boots make good stompers, look out critters, ya know, saquatch, grizzly bears, occasional black bear, moose, etc, lol, great video collaboration for 2 great channels.
Armando Mota if you haven't already be sure to check out the camping video on the Irish Zombie Nation Channel with the Junkyard Fox as a guest. It's up there now. Appreciate you watching.
james feeney Very true. It's just easier to look at a notification on your watch real quick then it is to pull the phone out of your pocket every time. Thanks for watching!
Junkyard Fox, could you please explain how you attached your knife to your boot. I may have missed it in your video but I don't think you showed it. Also as you walk does it stay tight to the boot ? Much respect please keep the videos coming.
no i had bought myself the genesis for xmas so ive had it for some time but ive noticed i prefer flat grinds, so i kept it while i sold off most of my other blades.
Barry Bueler You are correct. It is a 1911 Gen 2. We recorded a review video on it where James did some incredible feather sticking and we did some camp cooking with it as well. Unfortunately my SD card became corrupted while we were out there and I lost the video files. I'm in the process of trying to get the card repaired at a computer store, I just don't know if it's going to happen or not. If it does that review with guest star James will be on my channel as soon as possible. Thanks for watching.
Irish Zombie Nation thanx I’ll definitely check it out think I saw the original one on preparedmind101 think the original was a little bigger but I’m a fan of the size u carry definitely a medium size knife guy✌️
Love the video you guys are great together! I was hoping you can do a review on your nalgene oasis water canteen that you own. I know it's a simple piece of gear but I would really like to know your thoughts on it. I'm in between in getting the nalgene or the standard military canteen. Thanks !
i wouldnt film a review on that canteen jsut because theres not much testing that can be done for a canteen but i gotta say i love it, prefer it over the military canteens that get all gunky inside. i imagine its because sunlight can pierce through the nalgene one, killing off a lot of that stuff. im actually giving away a brand new one in our latest giveaway video, to show just how much confidence i have it those.
Junkyard Fox Thanks a lot for relying! Yeah I saw your giveaway video and I submitted my comment on there. I notice you said you like the Nalgene canteens best. Right after that video I ordered myself one and I love it. Keep up the great content James! Love the channel.
Hey awesome stuff man! Leo carry’s aloe of gear! I personally carry a backpack. I work with garbage trucks , so sometimes I find stuff that has been discarded by people. “ one mans trash is another mans treasure”! I found this backpack in the back of a rear loader and decided to use it. I put my book in it for reading (Robert Kiosaki Rich Dad Poor Dad), umbrella ( Totes sunguard upf 50+), notepad with pen, flossers(plackers), chapstick, wallet(leather MARC), triple anti ointment, tape measure, trident gum. All that I carry in my backpack. My lower body I have cowboy boots, and in my left boot strap I have a BIC lighter I wrapped duck tape around each side of the boot strap so the lighter will not slip out, I plan on purchasing a boot knife later, and I’m going to put that on my right boot. For my pants, I wear regular jeans or slacks. Not cargo. I usually put my wallet in the back right pocket, but for my safety, I either put my wallet in my front pocket or in my backpack, to try to keep it away from thieves with an RFID reader. In my left pocket I keep my multi tool. It has pliers, knife, Phillips screw driver, saw with a flat tip screwdriver on the tip and a file on one side. A device for poking, bottle opener, with carving tool. This multi tool doesn’t have a brand name on it. It was a gift from an old friend. It did come with a sheath. Not leather. The sheath tore, so I just put the multi tool in my pocket, it has “stainless” engraved on the side. I also carry my iPhone with me. It is a small computer that has many uses! I use it for a compass, flashlight, timer, calendar, extra notes, and more! My phone is very handy! My car keys along all my other keys hand on my belt loop on my pants. On my head I rarely wear a hat. But sometimes I have to. Like Leo, I have sensitive eyes to the sun. And also a sun hat will help block out harmful uv rays from the sun. I also wear glasses because I’m nearsighted and can’t see clearly far objects. I have a pair of carhart overalls, which is helpful in this crazy Oklahoma weather! A beanie cap on my head, and maybe a gator neck for additional protection from the elements. Wow! I didn’t realize all the stuff I have until I wrote this! Thanks for the video Junkyard Fox and Leo!
i use the metal sharpening rod and run it through each serration several times, they ill use the edges of a cardboard to strop it. they sharpen up quick
Good video bro! Nice collaboration. Would the placement of any of y'alls EDC items change if you carried a bag? Or are they always kept on your person?
Ricky Valenz For me, this is what I always carry on my person. I have an EDC bag where I carry other items such as the bit kit and bit extender for my Leatherman, a more extensive first aid kit, a small admin pouch, change of underwear in case I crack myself in public randomly (lol), and a variety of other stuff.
i always carrry a haversack but it ususally carries other things like a tarp, canteen etc. my setup can change depending on the season, for example if im wearing a coat, etc
John Dewitt The one I'm wearing in this video is made by a company called Dream Apparel. I got it off eBay, if I remember correctly, for around 60 bucks. 100% leather with concealed carry pockets. Excellent best for the price. I also recommend Milwaukee Apparel, I think that's the name. I have a couple retired vest in my closet. An excellent denim best I've worn in the past was made by Speed and Strength .
Dennis Hol it was because of where we were camping. It was a heavily populated car camping site with a ton of kids riding around on bicycles and such. I left my sidearm at home with my wife so she would have protection while I was away. I actually should say, she already had a Mossberg 12-gauge and a Smith & Wesson with her as well. Basically, the main reason I left it at home was because I didn't want any crap from a ranger or somebody at the place we were camping at.
Junkyard Fox meets Irish Zombie Nation!! WTF????!!!! 🤟 Totally epic! Brilliant idea. I’m a more Irish Zombie kind of guy, just for how I live, and prep for possible disasters and such. But, I LOVE your channel because it makes me think outside my comfort zone. The “desert” vibe is definitely something that I’m not at ease with, and you provide straight forward, honest info. that could save my ass!!!! Love this idea of criss-crossing the different survival ideas and strategies. Having a BROAD knowledge is honestly the best idea. You da’ man! You are one of VERY FEW who I get EVERY NOTIFICATION from...not even Irish Zombie Nation gets that honor! 👍Great channel, bro.!!!! One question for IZN: the tattoo on your left hand ( the atom-looking symbol). What’s the story? Just curious. No pressure. Stuff like that can be personal. Trust me!: no judgements! I LOVE tats and the method/reasoning behind getting them. I THINK I know...but I’m wrong WAAYYY more often than I’m right. 😂 Seeing those knife shots at the end...👍.....all us survival/knife lovers totally get that. Our specific personal tastes may differ slightly, but we are all one!!!
Shadow X WHAT!? I don't get the Bell notification honor? You have wounded me sir! You have cut me deep. LOL! 😛 in all honesty though, as far as your question about the atom tattoo on my left hand. It's actually the symbol for the American Atheists. As a lot of people know that watch my channel, I'm an atheist. I got this tattoo in my mid-20s because I liked it represented my lack of belief in mythological deities, as well as the scientific aspect of it. It symbolizes to me that while I trust science, I recognize that all is not known. That's one of the reasons I like the symbol of the American Atheists. The open-ended vertical halo represents that all is not known, but that we are constantly learning.
Irish Zombie Nation: LOL....you were on the razors edge! 😂 now you’re over the top! I was pretty sure what the “atom” symbol meant. That carries A LOT OF WEIGHT. I’m out here all alone....I mean my “family” and “friends” tell me to take a hike kind of ALONE...so that’s a BIG deal to someone like me. Respect. That’s an emotional thing for someone like me. 🤟
Irish Zombie Nation: that just means so much. Your channel is awesome anyway, bro. But some of us are out here waaayyy alone. I’m such a pussy!!! 😂You should just know that means a whole lot. It’s a big deal to some of us. You should know that. 🤟 And NO DISRESPECT to anyone who thinks/knows differently. Not at all. Every human being is my brother/sister. No hate. It’s just nice not to feel alone. ✌️
what a way cool video I really enjoyed this (not saying your others are not as good) I liked how you guys compared your EDC set up, Leo looks to be a real down to earth guy (got to check his channel out) James can you get your boot repaired it would be ashamed to turf an old friend like that they look so comfortable
Great EDC's but the audio sucks, can barely hear y'all..keeping things.symettrical is why my body is 90% tattooed, them tats would never seem to even out LOL
Robert Winkler Yeah, we had some audio problems in general. James is naturally more quiet than I am and he didn't bring a lapel mic with him. I'm hard of hearing so I am louder naturally. I know what you mean about the tattoos, I don't understand how people walk around with one full sleeve and nothing on the other arm. That shit makes my ass itch.

Pretty sure it’s the times forester I could be wrong but I’m almost positive
its a timex expedition, got it at target for like 40 bucks
You was very drunk of whyskey 😂👍🏻

excellent

Duct tape that boot young man!
👍👍
Wait, if he's from Missouri, then why does he call himself Irish zombie?
Eric Garcia I'm not from Missouri. Nor am I from Ireland. I am of Irish heritage.
And his car is parked less than 50 yards down the road.
😁👌
