Funny how the Jedi/Republic always served Palpatine much more than his own forces
There should be a movie where after Order 66 Palpatine slowly comes to this realization so he fakes his death against Darth Vader just to get away from all the incompetent failed lackeys in the Empire. He then spends the next 40 years reminiscing about sending Jedi to war in the good ol days
Because they were not aware of what was going on. When you become indoctrinated into an ideology people blindly believe they are doing what is right without no knowing the grand scheme
It always made me wonder like why did he let the empire crumble around him it’s like he took over and was just like well it’s been around 30k years so it’ll carry on the only thing he was focused on was living longer but if he was gonna live longer why would he want to live in a trash society he liked opulence and luxury I feel like he would feel more powerful if everything was as shiny as his lightsaber

I think it was Bane's apprentice who put the Holocron there. She was the first Sith to use the cloaking magic.

I really love this idea, there's so much you can do with this idea. It could even be that the sith Holocron could act as a beacon through which a sith could use the force projection method developed by Darth Vectivus to enter the temple as a form of spirit and walk the halls unseen
It had to have been xannah. She actually went to the temple. No way a sith of Banes caliber could get into the jedi temple undetected
Plus she actually went there to access the archives so it makes sense that she would plant it there while she was already there.

Honestly that makes sense especially with Zannah’s ability to mask her presence in the force.
While it's true that Bane is cunning enough to come up with this kind of scheme, it would be impossible for him to pull it off because he tends to stand out due to his muscular features and orbalisk armor and more importantly, he has no talent in Sith Sorcery. So the only one who could pull it off would have to be his apprentice Zannah when she infiltrated the Jedi Temple by masking her Dark Side aura with Sith Sorcery.

I don’t think that Bane did it, but Zannah. In the novel Rule of Two, Darth Zannah goes into the Jedi temple disguised as a Padawan to do research for Bane. She was in the archives and we know that she had skill with Sith sorcery. Granted, we never see her go into the restricted vault, but it is very possible that she did so offscreen.
Palpatine was always good at playing both sides.

Interesting. Though I always assumed and still think it’s more likely that palpating knew the schematics of the Jedi temple because he was Supreme Chancellor (I.e., the head of the government that paid for its construction and maintenance).
Dooku could have gave him the schematic.

Please, can someone tell me why Jedi can't destroy the Sith holocrons? Or why do they collect the sith holocrons in their temple where many Jedi masters are coming in and out, even if it is a restricted area, knowing that these holocrons can turn some of them into sith?
Never really understood that myself.
Well, for one, some are literally indestructible. Made with Sith Alchemy, some items may even hold the soul of an ancient Sith Lord.
Others may fight back, resisting attempt to destroy them by lashing out with the Force. Some are just too valuable to destroy. It may be evil, but it's also knowledge of evil that may one day be used, by a wise enough master, to fight back that very same evil.
And then there's always the chance that even if they did perform a cleaning ritual to destroy the dark item, it would take multiple highly skilled Jedi to do something like that, and it runs the risk of damaging the Force, or tempting those Jedi to the Dark Side. Just mere proximity to some of these items is enough to induce crippling madness in the unprepared. Just need to look at how Vader got his Castle on Mustafar to see just how dangerous Sith Artifacts could be.
Imagine if, in the attempt to destroy that Helmet, Mace Windu had lost his concentration for even a second and put the helmet on. Goodbye Jedi order. Or at least, a good chunk of it, anyway.

I don't think the holocrons could turn them into sith just merely by their presence but rather interacting with it, for example to open a Sith holocron you have to tap into the dark side like how maul got Ezra to do. (And he didn't turn into a Sith and he would be much more likely to do so than anyone that had access to that part of the jedi temple) one had to interact with and be corrupted by the Sith holocron to turn Sith

Well I assume so since it's mentioned they had it in their possession only to keep it out of sith hands. It also had a spell to conceal it from Jewish who assumed it wasn't an actual artifact. I mean that's my understanding of it

The fact that Sith Sorcery can hide this from the entire Jedi Temple says a lot about the inferiority of Jedi teachings.

Wow for how the Jedi are praised for being so wise there actually morons. Especially master Yoda who somehow knew about the rule of two even though the Sith was in hiding before he was born and did nothing. Also he was the most responsible for the fall of the order and the Republic. He went to Kamino and got the clones without questioning them. If a Jedi placed the order then the Grand Master of the order would have had access to all the info about the clones including order 66. He also lost to Sidious which proves the dark side is more powerful which is why Sidious could operate right under the Jedis noses. For being a member of the council and eventually Grand Master for nearly 800 years he sure was stupid. It was the Jedis arrogance of the Jedi that got them killed by thinking the Sith were extinct for 1000 years and when one shows up they do nothing. Not even when Dooku straight up told Obi Wan that Palpatine was a Sith Lord Yoda just brushed it off and said Dooku fell to the dark side, lies and decite are his ways and that was it. He couldn't have talked to Dooku about it in person or through the force. He was his Master and Dooku would have probably told him. Or he could have touched Palpatine and found out he was powerful in the dark side but instead he thought the light was so much more powerful which it clearly wasn't. If Yoda was as powerful as we are told then he could have opened the Sith halocrons and learned this for himself.
Dooku said there was a Sith Lord named darth sidious. He never said that it was Palpatine. The Jedi suspected a plot surrounding Palpatine but thought it was someone around him. They never suspected that it was actually him. Also not sure what you mean by touching Palpatine?
The holocron _must_ have been able to see/hear through walls because wasn't it locked up in some special Jedi Vault? \m/
Seems to me that there is more to the story. The Holocrons were the Sith's way to pass knowledge. And the jedi didnt have a way??? Cant wait to see the connections moving forward.
