I was just there seven weeks ago. Peak cherry blossom weekend there, but it was freezing even in late April. Unfortunately the winds both made it cold and restricted the operation of the ropeway to Mt Hakodate while I was there. Unfortunately I could only for three nights into my visit but I'd definitely like to go back when it's a bit warmer.
I wanted to visit at he cherry blossom season too but I missed it. Sorry to hear that it was so cold. But when I shot this video, it was late May but I felt cold at night too. I learned the lesson and the next time I get a chance to go there, I will bring a down jacket! 😄

Good Tour...Felt like I am there...I was reading one book by Japanese Author Toshikazu Kawaguchi.....the story is set in Hakodate...Got the feel of city and enjoyed the reading while watching your video...keep it up...

It may be a little chilly at night in September so I suggest bringing a sweater or something because it was cold at night when I shot this video.

We went there twice, and last time was 2019. Hakodate is such a beautiful place, and I particularly like those churches. Thank you!🎉
