Thank you so much buddy, that is very kind of you. 🙌🏼 However, I do have some caveats for you. When riding in groups like I did on Sunday, some people are on analogue bikes and I ride in Eco or Tour+ to stay with them and not push them. 😊 Also, this allows me to stay fitter as well as being at the Gym. 😉 I do use EMTB mode when on my own, so I can session the daylights out of the traisl to practice, practice, practice, and with fingers crossed I can gain competence and confidence. 🤞🏼 Looking forward to riding with you again soon, good sir, and wishing you now, as always, Happy Traiuls, my friend. 🤙🏼
Got last years turquoise, it’s bought a whole new aspect to mtb, a very different feel with the weight, a nice change after all these years of analogue bikes. Struggling with a leg injury, it’s got me out again. Great vid, made me smile.
I am so very sorry to hear of your leg injury, 🥹 and I would like to send you healing vibes, ❤🩹with hopes that you will recover soon. 🤞🏼 May I also thank you for sharing your experience with the bike and the happiness it has brought you to ride once again? This is what is so AMAZING about them? 🤩 When I was looking to make the purchase, the 2023 model was beautiful with that turquoise finish, and I also believe many changes were made to the design, making it the game-changer it is. 🙌🏼 Thank you again,@douglasalexander4348, for sharing your story, 😊 and I wish you all the best for your recovery ❤🩹and for both you and your brilliant Whyte e 160; I wish you many, many Happ Trails, my friend. 🤙🏼
@ Oustanding. 🙌🏼 I also have the AXS on mine, and I absolutely love how responsive it is, although I feel a little out of my depth. 🥹I am able to index manual gears now, having learned. However, I fear I need to be a nuclear scientist to adjust these properly. 🤔 How are you on indexing the Sram AXS electric gears, do you find it easy?
@@JJsMTBDiaries There is also a ‘B’ screw, you need a plastic guide to set or check this. Essential to do this first. Have you got the app ? Use it to adjust the derailleur + - to centre on the cog they indicate. I had to drop mine about -5 as it was retro fitted. Make sure that, as it’s an E bike, to set it to shift just ONE cog each push, otherwise you may get your chain broken.
@@douglasalexander4348 Thank you so much; this is most intriguing. 🤔 I have both the "Bosch Flow 2" and "Sram AXS" Apps that I find most useful. 😊 Rest assured, I shall review this in more detail now, and I thank you once again for your guidance and information. 🙌🏼
Great video mate. Thanks for the insights. I just bought my first Ebike, but I live in Canada, so I need to wait at least another 4 months before I can get out on the trails. This kind of content should definitely prepare me for the different ride characteristics compared to my analog bike. Much appreciated.
Oh my goodness, 😲 you have humbled me with your kind words, Thank You, so much. 😊 I am so glad that this content was useful, and I do hope you will let me know when your "New Bike Day" is. 🥳 Congratulations on New Bike Day coming soon, and I would love to hear about the smile on your face that you won't be able to remove for weeks/months, the fun that you have, and the complete astonishment you will find when you ride your EMTB for a while and see just how much you will accomplish in a day. 😊 Thank you again for being with me on my journey, 🙌🏼 and I wish you now, and always, Many, Many Happy Trails, my friend. 🤙🏼
Purple mode is unbelievable if you have to stop on a steep ascent. It’s like your starting off downhill ! The only thing I don’t like is the Bosch display, it kinda looks a bit fragile sitting on top of the bars and a pain if you have to flip your bike over for repairs or removing batter or if you take a tumble.
@douglasalexander4348 Thank you so much for this. 🤙🏼I confess I have only used "Purple" mode, AKA "EMTB" mode, to tow friends on normal bikes up trails as it is a beast mode and absolutely superb for power variations. 🤩 As you may have seen me describe or say in the video, I mostly use Eco mode and Tour+ mode for riding. However, as a small caveat, I sometimes use purple mode (EMTB) when time is tight to smash the climbs in order to get more time to descend and hopefully improve my experience and confidence. 🤞🏼 This bike really is an opportunity for me to learn, and I hope to progress as a rider and I love it. 😊
@@douglasalexander4348@douglasalexander4348 That's brilliant. 🤩 I have been looking at that as an option, and I currently have the Camelback Hip-Pack, which allows me to carry two water bottles on either side.
