What make her every singing unique is bcoz of the Malay vibe incorporated into the tone that she sang...the wave (lenggok) Melayu....my opinion only...
I never knew about this lovely song until i heard shila amzah sang it in "the Singer" previous years back. Shila Amzah didn't have a power high note range but she know how to control her voice by using falsetto and make it smooth and angelic sound. Thanx guys for reacted to Shila Amzah and others local singers, keep up the good job yaaaaaaa... 👍🏼🥰
Agree with Kenneth. Those falsettos were so flawless tho. And agree with Milo too, that 'Ji de ni jiao wo wang le ba' part was dynamo! And to me, even if the audience are non Chinese, she makes them feel what the song is about too, and able to transcends the message through her singing.
I really like this song… I tried to listen to original singer… I like Shila version more… but I wonder whether her pronounciation really on point coz I do hear some malay sound in the song lo
