I have 900 cable channels....and im watching 70s commercials. 😂
Lol
Says a lot about today’s shows that I’d rather watch commercials from my teen years.
OMG SAME!!!!!
I rather watch these commercials than most of today’s trash TV!
Or most of today's social media crap.
Those were the days when pharmaceutical companies didn't own every single commercial time slot.
I miss the toy commercials
Or a law firm!😂
Bank then the pharmaceutical companies could only advertise over the counter medication to regular consumers.
RIGHT. It's sickening -
Agreed. I hate those commercials.
In the 70s everyone knew Morris the Cat.
If you didn't, you lived under a rock.
My wife met one of the Morrises in 1973
@@Flanksteak that was probably cool. He was the original Garfield.
Damn. So many memories. Definitely miss the "1970's". Was the very best time, to be alive and young.
Damn. So "many" memories. Definitely "miss" the 1970's. Was the very "best" time, to be alive "and" young.
@@CoCotheTurtle "!!!"
These commercials are bringing up so many memories. Oddly comforting.🙂
I wish it could feel like the 70s again
I remember all these. I used to love the smell of Agree 😂
That's the first thing I thought of too!
Same!
Yeah, Agree smelled great!
As soon as it came on I immediately remembered the smell!
Yes “Agree” smelled so good. Remember “Gee Your Hair Smells Teriffic??”
Wow. 1979. 45 years ago. I remember every one of those movies and products.
Commercials for products and movies and television shows, not big pharma commercials. 💉💊 So refreshing. 😊
I could not agree more.
Who would have thought we would be put into today’s drug commercial purgatory. Wish they would outlaw the prescription drug pushers.
Born in 1970 a kid in the 70’s a teen in the 80’s good times..
I was born in 1970 too. We were so blessed to be growing up in the 70s and 80 s.
@@beckyg.8228Me too.
Me too! Born in 67!
68'!
I want to go back!
@Bombaycompany1776-i like your username! I still have some of my tables I bought from the Bombay Company-I loved that store!
Weren't those much easier times?! Life was simpler.
I was 15 in 79
God I missed the 70s
Same. I'm over this hideous timeline
@@rdred8693 please get serious that’s probably because you didn’t live through it The 70s was the best decade ever as as far as as I’m concerned.
@@RobertSmith-qs2gm
I was 14 in 79, I remember it very well.
I'm over the 2020's.
I was in my early 20's..the best years!
I remember these ads so clearly- like I just turned the TV off..
Bought Leggs in the eggs until 2000's...😮
Same here!
They no longer make a color to match my skin. I guess they think everyone is dark at Leggs company. I called and asked could I find the sun tan color of the 70's. I was told they don't make it anymore! I called the other brands and I was told the same. 😢
Yeah! I want to go back to the Seventies!
@@EllyWoman777 I wore the sun shade🦵🏼 and I wanna Go back to the 70's too, if U find a way to go back take me with you... Stay Safe 💙
Still looking. I feel that this modern world is closing in on me! Stop this insanity...i want to get off...this bus to no where. People are doing everything that we did walking to or driving to over their phones. What happened to shopping for food and cooking. I like to know every ingredient that i am eating. I wonder how many fast food places are sneaking bugs into there foods. Yuk! No bugs for me...I want to be healthy...
Spirit...soul and body!
Watching and waiting!
@mrsplanetmaster9
Me too!
Nobody wears hose anymore! It's so weird.
I absolutely love love love the 70s commercials! I am totally blind, and I get much more out of commercials like these than I could ever get out of more modern commercials of today. Commercials back in the day easy to understand and that’s why they were so great and successful. 2:00 2:07 2:16 2:30
Excellently put… I am legally blind and a lot of stuff today. Just seems like a bunch of really super confusing. Frustrating noise…. I grew up in the 80s and yes, commercials were way more straightforward and what they are trying to advertise and they seem to be today… It’s kind of like reading a book before you get to go see the movie of the book… You already have an idea of what’s going on… I think that’s preferable to just going to some movie that doesn’t have any book related to it although lots of things that are coming out these days have audio description and that makes things really interesting but yeah, I agree with you about older commercials much easier to sort out what’s going on and what they’re trying to advertise
I loved Agree
Ahh the days with wood paneling on every wall and you both could sit on your TV in comfort 😂😂😂
Such a laid back Era
It was laid back cause you were young
@gloriaortiz1227 Not perfect, but most people had a code of conduct. However, now all that has been flush down the toilet with glorified stupidity
This video is so comforting. Thank you for uploading.
Joyce Dewitt looks fantastic here.
So does her legs! Lol!
She sounded differently than on Threes Company
I remember Future floor polish, made the floor sticky and built up over time
I just loved some of these- thank you--- as a 70's lover it was fun watching-- I so miss the simplicity. I was 6 years old in 1970 -- I think the 70's decade was one of the best times to grow up in...🙂
Aww Morris.😺
Love these classic commericals!!
Loved the James Garner and Mariette Hartley Polaroid commercials. People thought they were really married.
Yes. Great chemistry
0:03 - Fran Ryan as Mrs. Jakes for Befresh toilet bowl cleaner.
3:04 - Joyce DeWitt for UndieL'eggs pantyhose.
5:04 - Rula Lenska for Alberto VO5 hair spray.
7:12 and 19:14 - Jo Anne Worley for Kleenex tissues.

23:18 - Sandy Duncan for Nabisco Wheat Thins.
23:47 - Casey Kasem does the voiceover for Century 21 realtors.
26:19 - Tony Randall in a PSA for the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation.
Feel good memories
I have 2 full boxes of Kleenex from the 70s. ❤
These take me back. Wow
So much simpler and better
I was 19 years old when this came out excellent years😊😊😊😊
Nice music, no rap culture influence, no choppy quick takes… pleasure!
Nothing but good memories great decade
I was 10 years old in 1979. We had 5 channels and there was always something to watch. Now I have 300 channels and it's all garbage.
Very well said.
You had 5 channels? Lucky, we only had 3.
I've noticed that some channels play the same show over and over.
I was 20 and I didn’t watch television.
I enjoy old Commercials
I was so young - 3 - when these were released, but what a great time to be alive!
Oooo..
Future, VO5 hot oil, Morris the Cat, Wella conditioner, and Nozema was the BOMB!!
....and my sister still has her old Polaroid!!! Didn't everyone have one, back then? 😊❤
Commercials in the 70’s were as entertaining to watch as the tv shows and movies .
I remember future floor wax and comet cleanser Josephine
I guess this shows me how much TV I watched, because I remember none, except 9 Lives, and Morris, the cat.
I remember the commercials well. I was 17, but have a good memory of what was on TV at the time.
Simpler time, commercials were comforting, society was kinder, pop culture was alive and well, childhood in the 70’s was bliss, nowadays….:((( not the same, and I rarely watch tv….rather watch old tv shows and commercials that take me back.
Love those glossy kitchen floors!
I really do miss the old school classic commercials and movies
I was 8 in 70, but I remember most of these commercials.
Me too! I remember agree conditioner gets rid of the greasies. 😁
23:47 Casey Kasem!
Man these commercials take me back!
Gosh, I miss the 70’s so much. I get so homesick for my childhood home… both my parents and all my siblings and I together under one roof. I had the best parents and life then . Both my parents and one sister are no longer alive . If I could go back … I would .
Remember watching "Something For Joey" when it first aired. I was in my late teens and cried like a baby.
I want to see The Flintstones Revue! That looks fire.
Agree and Diana Rigg. Now that would be perfect!
The ✨️g r e a s i e s ✨️
I was 24 in 1979. I don’t recall all of these. I do remember wondering who Rula Lenska was; it seemed like we were supposed to know. 😅
I was 12 years old in 1979, my brother Paul was 20 years old
I was 11 years old 😊🎉😮😂 I miss that age and more those were the days that are no more . Great to be able to go back and recap. 😅
P.s my brother was12 but he has passed away a little while back.at least we both made it past 50 years old and most of all we both are saved by Jesus Christ! Amen! Peace.
@@shanehardy5676good for you.
I was 6.
I was 12.
Lots of memories. I grew up in the 70s
I remember those future wax commercials... and do you know what my first thought was? I've never been in a kitchen that had floors like that....a solid color large shiny floor
Omg Sonething for Joey!!! I obsessed over that tearjerker
So this is what Chicagoans were watching on x-mas day in 1979. Interesting.
Remember when you could sit on your tv? I do.
What a blast from the past - my teenaged years. We got a Chicago channel in Michigan, so even those were familiar. Made me nostalgic
Johnny Carson quote: "Who the hell is Rula Lenska?"
The commercials we hated we now watch on purpose 😅
Back when it was still okay to show genuine Christmas commercials with actual Christmas carols.
We can thank a liberal for that
It still is. A mind is a terrible thing to lose!😂
I hadn't heard of future floor cleaner in years.
3:04 Janet from Three’s Company
I was 9 in 1979….the year I got Atari ..technically December 1978…..good Christmas
Great batch of commercials! I totally remember the StarBeat's "What's Happening" too!
Green Giant Green Beans In Butter Sauce (With A Green Bean Stealing Raccoon. Voiced By Frank Nelson) (Narrated By John Erwin) 9:13
"EEE-Yeeeeeeeeesssss"
Hey. Nice Catch Phrase.
Oooooooh!!
That Too?
That voice just took me back im tearing up why so much change dang we have the power to have kept it just like this but nooooooo we wanna change every ten years jeezy weezy
She was some Lady who was always showing of London to her friends.
OMG, I haven’t thought of those foil multi colored kleenex boxes since we had them dotted around the home in the 80’s. We always had them in tan/brown. I remember thinking they were reasonably ugly even as a small child.
“The greasies” lol
Oh yes, I remember the greasiest.
I've been trying to find Agree Apricot Shampoo for 40 years now.
Same with Cremora Creamer, Cashmere Bouquet Soap, and Pepsi Light.
...oh yeah! Pepsi Light with Lemon! I forgot about that stuff.
You really took me back home when I heard all of these Chicago land commercials I live up here in St. Paul Minnesota now, and I think it’s wonderful that I could just go and listen to these commercials anytime I want with my phone thank you 39:34
I remember Scavenger Hunt. Hilarious. Too bad they don't ever run it on cable or streaming networks.
Anyone remember the SCTV spoof 'Joyce De Halfwit's half legs?
I remember watching Something for Joey. A bigger tear-jerker sports movie than Brian's Song.
10 in 1970 suburb just south of Boston I remember never seeing a house key because we never locked our doors, house, cars, no keys, no stealing, imagine that.
Marc Singer! I wasn’t born when his made for TV came out. I know him from the from V the tv series. So awesome!
We had a wonderful life, imagine we threw it all away...
It was stolen by mega cooperation s and bankers.
We didn’t throw it away. It was taken from us.
@kck9742
That is so true! It was striped away...in a flash...it didn't last...they only wanted us to change and mess around with our brain...and try to drive us insane!
Do you remember those T-shirts that said " Who the Hell is Rula Lenska?"?
Progress isn't always progress.
Fu#k Me , I'm So OLD 😂. THX for the MEMORIES ❤❤
I used to love the Folgers coffee commercials from around the 80's and maybe early 90's.
My goodness I remember a lot of these ads. I was in my 20s in the 1980's.
Me tooo
I'm starting a rock band called 'The Greasies"!
🤣🤣🤣
A fantastic name for a band original name
...and the band members could all dress up like greasers from the 1950s. Maybe you could get Andrew Dice Clay to be your lead singer.
@@the_gilded_age_phoenix8717 Anybody from Sha Na Na still around?😃😀😂
@@itiswhatitaintanditaintwha1427 Don't think so...their website said they are all currently in the old folks home. That said, you could prolly get a nurse to wheel out Billy Joel and Frankie Valli.
I saw two coffee brands that looked good. The models were more makeup free. The jokes are funnier. Still find now how far we have come.
My first Christmas.
Was born 23 days later 😊
Chow-chow-chow!😸
Precious memories ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Grabbing woman and throwing in a car to listen to a radio..lol
Yup, that was bizarre enough for me to include it in a short that described it as borderline kidnapping lol ua-cam.com/users/shortsHoVNKp4ZjpA?feature=share
Simpler times , less crazy, no internet, so miss them !
Hey! I can get a great deal on catering if I order before December 20th! Thanks for telling me on CHRISTMAS DAY!
Guy shoving girls into his car to listen to his Sanyo is a little too Ted Bundy for me.
When I was a kid in the 70’s I had no idea why people had trouble taking off their coats without Sure. It was so vague and polite, they wouldn’t show big pit stains like they do now.
Omg those Lumi commercials are so VULGAR.
I just turned 19 more than a week earlier.
I was about to turn 9.
@jashary15 how old were you when you lost your virginity?
Ok...how's this for coincidence...the great Frank Nelson doing the raccoon in the Green Giant commercial, but the voiceover is the same who did Morris the Cat! lol
Im sensing a theme here...all these were on CBS 😂
