The most fun part of watching this show is trying to figure out what neighborhood they are in, and then looking it up on Google Maps to see just exactly how much it's changed.
Watched this in real time long before Google. Used to love the way they'd turn a corner in Russian Hill and be cruising down the Great Highway. San Francisco really was a paradise then. I once walked past Karl Malden by Gumps.
Quinn Martin Productions had a deal with Ford Motor Company for their Ford, Lincoln and Mercury products on their shows. That was back when cars were well built compared to the junk today. The 1964 Chevy Bel Air cab was used in several Dirty Harry films in San Francisco. Back in 1964 the three full size Chevy's were the Biscayne, Bel Air and the then top of the line Impala.
I borrowed my parents' Crown Victoria a few times (Ford had stopped making LTDs like the ones shown in the video). It was like driving a barge, but like sitting on a rolling sofa.
My Mom had a '72 Mercury Montego that was basically a Sherman tank with a cigarette lighter. Driving that thing was like giving birth to a 10 pound baby -- only a lot less fun. 😉
Captain Stanley on EMERGENCY! season 3's episode Snakebite did that too when paramedic Johnny Gage is being rushed to Rampart after being bit by a rattler
They didn’t get to SFO: that building is the old terminal at SJC. I love seeing it again - it was designed by local modernist great Hollis Logue, Jr., but has since been torn down.
ótimo!!!!!! assisti este episodio na minha infancia, the blue maverick, como poderia esquecer? Hoje tenho o tal blue maverick. Parabens a quem postou este video!!!!
I have a 70era red light made by grote. just like the style used on this show.later on most police shows went to the tear drop style federal fireball then Kojak really made the small red light famous.
On EMERGENCY! season 3's episode Snakebite after Johnny was bit by a rattler Captain Stanley did the same thing too when he's contacting the dispatch to alert Rampart about Johnny's symptoms
A "poor hitman" Only carries a .357 magnum Python. Can't even afford one of those "faux" silencers. Many times, these guys didn't use phonetics, on the license numbers. And when they did, they used the incorrect names. Terrible.
I was I in SF in 75, saw the crew filming. The in-game shots were done unsung station wagons with the same colors as the hero car?sedans.
LOOK AT ALL THOSE OLD CARS!
The best part about watching this show and other early 70's drama shows; the awesome rides!
Karl Malden got around pretty good , seeing how he was SIXTY when the show debuted .
Rick OBrien I agree. Impressive.
American express card guy has no problems moving around.
Mercury Montego. Cool how they filmed this show on location.
I'm surprised, no Network hasn't rebooted this Old TV Show, Calling CBS, you did a great Job with Hawaii five O, and SWAT.
I LIKE that idea, Stan !
RIP Richard Anderson who guest starred as Hoyt. He will forever be Oscar Goldman on The Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman

djmixnmagic That’s exactly what I loved about this show. I spent a lot of time looking in google maps and comparing then and now.

IMO The most fun thing is to stay OFF evil Google for once and go back to a time when it wasn’t destroying the lives of the entire human population.

I was hoping a hubcap would roll off, then mysteriously reappear on the car.
2:13 "You bet your sweet badge it is!"
love those big ford's.have all the episodes off the streets off San francisco.
One of my favorite shows
One of mine too
Jesus, captaining those big ass Fords must have been like steering a yacht in a storm.
Back in the 80's my dad taught me how to drive in one of those, and yep, it's like navigating a boat.

Say big butt Ford
Those big ford's are the only vehicles that can handle being airborne and still finish the chase scene!!
Seems every time a TV show or movie is set in San Francisco, there's almost always sure to be at least one speeding car.
Except for Big Eyes or Crumb.
Guest stars Steve Forrest, Richard Anderson, Shirley Knight, Norman Alden.
The good old days back when
I like how Lt.Stone is talking into the BACK side of the microphone at 3:50...
If I was a cop in SF I would like to have them as backup !
Back when Television shows were real unlike the craps shoes we put up with today. They do not make shows like this anymore. 😔
Nah there are still good shows today
I'm amazed Keller got the license of the sniper as fast as he did.
Cuz he's smart
San Francisco, used to be the most charming city in our country !
Bring back great old shows better than what's on offer now
There are still good shows today
Nice shots of Noe Valley in this episode. Don't see it on TV or movies much.
Miss those 70s cars
ótimo!!!!!! assisti este episodio na minha infancia, the blue maverick, como poderia esquecer? Hoje tenho o tal blue maverick. Parabens a quem postou este video!!!!
Love the way they remove all the rear view mirrors and headrests from the cars.
With the junk they are offering us today Keller and stone would be slaying these people. A serious smackdown would definitely be in order.
It’s strange seeing this now after seeing the full episode
Though cool
.....and there's me thinking it was going to be car chases. Michael Douglas was a badass driver.
@2:07 Malden puts light on roof. @2:19 light is perfectly centered on roof. Long arms?
I have a 70era red light made by grote. just like the style used on this show.later on most police shows went to the tear drop style federal fireball then Kojak really made the small red light famous.
As Jim Royle said about Karl Malden's nose..'it's as if he has a little arse on the end of it' 😂
Hoyt was played by Richard Anderson aka Oscar Goldman from The Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman
after the fugitive, the invaders and cannon a quinn martin production
QM had a lot more than those 3 ...
Back in the days when cars had a boot.
Orange Lowrider taxi is dope! Today it would be a dorky Priass!
Michael Douglas plays himself in every fucking role.
You're right. but I loved him in this show b/c he had such good chemistry with Karl Malden and it made the show even better.
👍👍
lol -
STARSKEY AND HUTCH - brought to you by Ford. ;)
What was that building….was it a bus station and where was it located? It almost looks like airport. I couldn’t tell what it was.
Çok güzel diziydi
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
What is the name of the car at the start of the video - it looks similar to the car in 'Freebie and the Bean'.
1972 Mercury Montego
Good grief, he's talking into the back of the mic at 3:59.
US cars of the sixties and seventies... holding the road like a kangaroo...
why are you talking to the back of the radio mic ... lol
+82ghall Haha! Good eye there!
On EMERGENCY! season 3's episode Snakebite after Johnny was bit by a rattler Captain Stanley did the same thing too when he's contacting the dispatch to alert Rampart about Johnny's symptoms
Was that guy strapped into his car? If not, how on earth did he manage to drown?
FORD A POOR MANS MIRACLE! JUST SAYIN
So... jumping out of the car mid push wasn't a option?
No rear view mirror
......then it re-appears for the jump
Steve Forrest was best known for his role in the 1960s ITC TV series The Baron but he played a villain in this episode. I prefer him as The Baron.
He was also the captain in SWAT.
He did pretty good playing a villain. He played a gunslinger in a few episodes of Gunsmoke and did a really good job in that role.
@@STP43FAN1 Hondo Harrelson - Lieutenant
Don't forget his role in Spies Like Us. Great character actor.
Jock on Dallas
👮📺👍

This episode is about gambling bosses at war with each other and a witness targeted by a hitman.
Michael Daly There was another episode where Keller's academy classmate goes rogue, gets a witness killed and compromises an investigation.
@@gidzmobug2323 That couldn't be the second-season episode "Shield of Honor," could it?
Timeless show in Streets and also Nash Bridges. Sadly SF is now in the toilet.

Sponsored by Ford....
Typical cops - just double park at the airport.
Those old ford's took a hell of a beating but kept on going!!!
