Kirk Sand was one of those very special people that added so much enjoyment in life to so many who had the pleasure to know him. His fabulous custom handmade guitars that he crafted with such expertise will endure his legacy for many years to come. Since his passing, each day when I play my Kirk Sand Guitar, he is there with me again. Thank you Kirk... Godspeed my friend!

Chet Atkins, Richie Sambora, Earl Klugh got 2 guitars, Jose Feliciano, and then mine, #6. Tragically, Kirk passed away Sunday, 3/17/2024. Super nice guy. He will be missed by many a guitar player.

Beautiful guitar Jefferson! I have 3 of Kirk's guitars; the RS-Nylon, the OM-Steel string and the original "Chet" model nylon electric, in my small collection of hand-built instruments. I will never part with these fantastic guitars. My boys will have to sell them to some lucky guitarist when I pass on, but I plan on playing "happy birthday to me" on my Kirk Sand guitar at my 104th birthday party. Kirk is the best and a great guy as well.
