Seohyun's voice never got chance to shine before because she was in charge of harmony in SNSD in TTS, not because she is not a capable singer. She even said before in an interview she wanted to sing in different ways but SM limited her so that's why she pursued musicals instead. I am glad because she has the voice of a true musical actress. It is clear, elegant and versatile. She can play many different characters and genres with her special voice. Moreso, she is very stable. She is the only member that can sustain high level of singing and dancing live at the same time. Even Taeyeon easily gets tired.
seohyun vocals remember she said that SM want her debut solo to be her and a guitar with ballad style? glad she opposed it and stand for what she wants. we can see the true seolhyun who can do variety of genres

I'm a Sone but I'm actually surprised at Seohyun's voice here. It's definitely much stronger now. All those musicals she had during SNSD's hiatus did her good. I'm so proud of her.
She's always had a strong voice but SME limited her because she's in charge in harmony. It's kinda sad how she was not able to showcase her full potential while she was with them.

taetoro she probably did a lot of vocal training for musicals, which is different from the vocal training idols usually get. Look at Ken. His vocals improved when he got inti musicals. Before musicals, Seohyun’s voice wasn’t this full or powerful. She’s not as out of breath as she used to be either.

Seohyun's vocals are so beautiful and have immensely improved over the years. I know Taeyeon is the one who is widely recognized as SNSD's best vocalist, but Seohyun's appearance on this show proves that she's another strong singer. I love how she chose to step out of her comfort zone and shine on her own. :)

I'm always be impressed by Seohyun's vocal. Her voice is clear, she do it effortlessly and she loves to play with the vocal range. She has this habit of switching between vocal notes which shows her experience and skills and it works cause she can hit every single one of them!

Reading some comments here irks me. Seohyun and Jessica has been in the same level technically for quite some time now. And yet, people still love to keep Seohyun on her “lead vocalist” title that was given to her 14 years ago. Yes, she may never have been given the main vocal title officially but that doesn’t mean she didn’t improve her singing ability.
