I finally saw a side by side comparison of the old Portimao to the updated one. There are huge differences between the old and new track. I rarely ran Portimao so, I was completely oblivious to the updates. After running the new version (in the M8 GTE), I like this track a lot. As for me and the M2 CS, I spent a lot of time at Pau. Once I got use to the car, I found that it enjoys being thrown into the corners, and just slides its way through them with a great deal of control.
They even put Mischa as the driver. I think they already have Jimmers in it with the Praga. TBH, I wish they would've put SuperGT as the driver in the GT4 car rather than Mischa. Steve is way more of a simracer than Mischa is, and he'd probably appreciate being in the game way more than Mischa.
Can you share your wheel settings for RRE these days? I've got both a belt driven TM wheel and a Fanatec CSL DD. Kind of hate the ffb on both with this game only.
@@mrtom2450 AMS2 does not have Ferrari at all, just like they both don't have Lamborghini or Aston Martin. But at least AMS2 has LMDh, with brands that are present in Raceroom, like Porsche and BMW.
I don't want to be the FOV police, but I just can't see enough to the sides in your videos (I presume you're on triples) to see what's going on around corners and for a decent sense of speed. You're reacting to cars and action that we can't even see and it's a little disjointed an experience to follow along with. I always enjoy your presentation style, commentary and passion for the subject matter but I can never watch for long as the actual racing content doesn't seem entirely visually suited for a single display / UA-cam presentation. Just providing some feedback is all - obviously if you enjoy it that way then that's fine, and thanks for your content and commitment to our beloved hobby :)
This is how all streamers post triple videos tho. They post their main screen in the Middle. It'd take a lot of extra resources to record all 3 while playing, plus the fov would look ridiculous. Alot worse than just the middle screen.
@@JustMamba Well obviously yeah, but that wasn't what I was saying should be done. The only obvious ideal solution would be to get bigger displays and raise the FOV to match the smaller screen space - that way UA-camrs can keep their triples as they like and we can actually see what's going on all the time. I don't know what Mike runs, presumably 3x27s or 32s, but even just 43s would make a massive difference to us and maybe even his channel.
'"Stay tuned to learn more about general graphics improvements coming to the sim soon! " - quote from there portimao video
They need to fix it, like the game but I run 65inch triples can't handle the way scenery pops in and out takes away from immersion so don't play it
Thank god for another gte car....2 gte's are better that one. I love raceroom... just wish the cockpit graphics would get an update

Couldn't agree more. These cars are huge fun to race with.
Raceroom with a RF2/LMU multiplayer style would be the best sim, that server organization kills my joy
Can we get a series of 'Mike vs The 11'? 😊
Im not mentally ready for that, lol
My fav of the three also it drives soo good!!
I am sure they added the GT4, because that's the car Jimmy Broadbent & Co drive at the NLS...

Thinking how bad the rf2 one is, this is a jewel
The new track limits in R3E are a total pain!
Great video Mike, think I’m going to give RRRE another go.
How does it compare to the version in ACC mike?
It seems like Raceroom gets the leftovers in terms of licenses. First the Mazda DPI, now M8 GTE.
They got the 296 though, which some others don’t (eg AMS2), and an updated roster of current day GT3s, but I do see your point.

Good point! There are swings and roundabouts for any sim, and I enjoy driving both RR and AMS2.

🤔 I have ac, rf2, ams2, LMU, iracing. Getting RR would be… Have to see the list of cars.
Well, there about 100 to choose from...
If you want the content, buy it with vrp, should be 70€ then, instead of 100€ in r3e store.
