- this might be my favourite track on the EP. I love lorenzo’s playing so very much.
When were recording the album we asked him to just play along for the whole length of the song to see what it sounded like.
The room we were in was open planned so we all just had to sit still and as quiet as possible while he did two incredibly beautiful takes. Most of us were listening without headphones on so all we heard was his playing and not the track.
One day I’d also love to just release THAT version.
Sax only.
But in the meantime, here’s a version with the band but with no singing so that we can enjoy fully Lorenzo's lush playing.
For me it’s kind of like a mediation listening to this version and so I wanted the video we made to be a kind of mediation zone out time as well.
Zoning out is what happens when your practising something over and over again, and so it felt like a juggling practice rehearsal video went nicely along with this instrumental version of slider. It’s important to let your brain turn off and wander off from time to time. And let the blue sky fill in the space that’s made.
can i say that i love this song. the saxophone just sounds so good. the world became a better place once this song released.

Right, so in the last 2 hours I've gone from discovering Moonshine, to coming across your lighting up a house gig and now landed on this. As a fan myself of Fink, Harvey, Cinematic Orchestra, Portico Quartet I'm absolutely buzzing to have found you all. Like them, your sound is totally unique. I hope I can catch you all either in Madrid or the UK!
