Titan.... I really like how you've changed your approach with the videos. I've watched them for a long time and seen a change to a more humbled approach and it makes them even better. As always thanks again for everything you do!
This business is all encompassing. I spend 10 hours a day with CNC machines and what do I do with my spare time at home? Watch more CNC videos! lol in gets in your blood and is the air you breath. I am always on the hunt for tips and tricks, and Titan never disappoints
Did you find the file? I said the same thing but in the video it says its included in his Aerospace Academy which is coming soon. So I was curious if you was able to find it?.
6:50am here in the great state of Tennessee. Enjoying some coffee and titanium chips for breakfast served up by 60HP beast. What a way to start my day! BOOM! Rock on brother, great stuff!
Yessss Mastercaaaaaaam!!! And thanks for putting the file on your website. I'm gonna be sure to grab that! I'm always interested to see how someone processes a particular part.
@@wrastler_j1943 one thing to consider it's the most commonly used CAM system used in Industries. I work in a medical shop and CAM software has to be validated. And I can tell you Fusion 360 wont be validated at least in the shops and companys I know of anytime soon. So i enjoy seeing Titan use Mastercam and Powermill. I kinda wish hed use more Powermill as well
Ur awesome I love mastercam I got 2020 on my personal CPU..bbut your way more advanced than me I do a lot of airframe..not solid models..but the dymnamic tool paths are awesome..great work buddy..i worked on a older nh4000 makino and it was a monster I could imagine that beast you got..i also put a Kurt vice on an angle plate fyi..it works great if your doing a bunch of different parts. Cause tombstones jaws are pricey
Hey Titan! I'm a machinist as well, I love your videos. It's really inspiring for me as I got out of prison about 2 years ago. It's true that people can change and do better. So I was wondering.... At my work we also use that Blaser Swisslube, the clear stuff. Do you also have the problem with the extreme smell it puts off? Anyways just wondering! Keep up the great work!
Do yall keep the coolant circulating? Like if you have a machine sitting you shuld have the coolant running if at all possible. And also you should wash the machine down frequently because this new stuff will get kinda sticky.
I like using circle mill for roughing counterbores like that... i feel like pocket has too many clicks to get what i want .... excited to see the 3d finishing passes
thank you so much for those enlightments and shows in titanium which i just begin to experiment on my mill, even it's smallparts and small HP spindle, it gives the spirit of it and how to approach this material.and espescially thanks from europe for metrics data , i was tired of my excel special convertion sheet !
Thank you, Titan. All these feed and speed are amazing. But I have a question, what to do with the bottom of the pocket?? It looks like the bottom is not flat and the 3/8 flat end mill can't take care of the bottom radius, do you use anther tool (ball nose) to rough that out or cut it with the semi-finish
Man! I can't wait for the next part! Are you going to make a video of making the backside too, or just front one? Would love to see second op and how you will hold it in your machine.
Hey Titan. When will the file be available on your website? It says Aerospace Academy coming soon in the video. I'm assuming that's when and where this file will be? Any timeline on that? Thanks Titan!
Thanks Titan for sharing!. One big question: what you do with all the chips? Recycle? Recycle with another company? Do you melt everything and profit again? I'm interested in the process.
Fusion is great for our industry and it gives everyone an opportunity to learn CAM etc. Mastercam is ITAR approved and has incredible tool paths for high level Machining... which is why I teach both.
@@davidward758 that's not bad. Were I work we just bought 2 Yasda PX30i's and their 1.1 million each. That includes install of course and a small service and parts warranty. But that is a 30 pallet 5 axis "CNC Jig Borer" mill with a 230 tool ATC and a ChipBlaster
I'm pretty sure it's just a mock up part used to reflect the Aerospace industry and used for training. I doubt it's real. If it was it wouldnt be on a video explaining the part process.
As an old-school guy who machined high end experimental nuclear reactor components I would to hear you comment on the real world financial dangers of accidentally scrapping an expensive billet.
JīM C it seems to me as a machinist of 40 years , most of the “ components” on these videos are not real. They’re exercises in 4 or 5 axis machining. No actual use for most of them I believe.

Mastercam is ITAR approved. Fusion isnt. And will never be. Your not gonna find a shop like this running Fusion. At least for real and not In a UA-cam commerical for Fusion. Fusion is great though. I love it. But Mastercam is better. It's about 40 grand better. Lol
awesome videos, its just a shame you guys use the imperial system! the metric system is just so much cleaner and simpler! i was a machinist for hitachi making nuclear pressure vessels and steam turbines and the fact that they used the metric system for everything just made it so much easier to understand
SpaceX just turned everything to metric. What are your views on the USA alienating itself for international manufacturing. Seems metric "non-native" manufacturing has always been a bit of an issue. What are your thoughts?.
Я не совсем понял - а зачем это всё надо было фрезеровать? Чисто, чтоб показать, что так можно сделать? Отлить сразу в форму с припуском 5 мм и немного ободрать было бы не лучше?

Incredibly complex component.
Question, how long did it actually take to programme the complete part?

Have you found the need to invest in a 3rd party verification software like vericut or camplete on more complex high value Multiaxis parts?
Great awesome video,

I doubt it. Mastercam is one of the few CAM programs that's approved or certified by ITAR.
