TOWER LADDER Goes To Work as New Years Day Blaze Tears Through Wilmington Barn

In the evening of New Years Day (2023) Wilmington Firefighters Responded to a reported barn fire off Lowell St. The first arriving Engine reported light smoke showing, and upon investigation, heavy smoke pushing from the front door. A second alarm was quickly ordered as fire ran the walls into the attic of the barn. Eventually contentions forced firefighters into an exterior operation, and a master stream from Tower 1's bucket was used to knock down the heavy fire.
