Yeww thanks Will! Indily is right we just had some big swell, I’m not the biggest charger. So I’d recommend watching Kai Lenny and Nathan Florence if you want to see POV in big surf haha but I’ll get some more beach footage when it’s a bit bigger

I got a pretty sick tube the other day! Bets vision yet! it was close out on a left so pumped the shit out of the section saw it was gonna tube (and I can’t do airs) and pulled in for a second. Sick vision and then the lip clipped my knife and I fell everyone paddling out said to me did you just get a barrel? The break isn’t the most tubed section. My buddy was so stoked for me!! He is older than me and he’s really good lol he knew it was one of my first tubes!

Hey mate! I think it’s human nature to protect ourselves. Like on that “set of the day” I immediately pulled out the back and regretted it straight away. So I fired myself up and turned that safety filter off in my head and pulled into every single one after! Some tips I can give is to: - position your feet further up the board, so when it does close out you’ll get smashed falling forward and your board won’t hit you under water - lean forward aswell so if you’re too deep but still want to commit the wave will knock you off and again, be safe from getting hit by your board 🤙🏽
Hey Nat! It’s probably too hard to explain over text but watch my how to air video and apply it to your backside, they follow the same principles. And I do this with my students, we set goals before a session - so if you want to improve your backhand, just surf on your backhand for a whole session (if possible) and get or ride your surf skate and practice backhand moves it will help heaps 🤙🏽🙌🏽
Thanks man! I took out my old one because I knew I’d be getting barrels haha. Stay further up on your board so when it closes out you can bail forward without your board shooting up and hitting you. And if you’re sitting in the right spot the bottom of the wave usually turns into a portal and you fall through so the board usually won’t get damaged. It’s always on the wave you least expect that breaks your board

I think you waist a lot of the waves potential like your pumping the whole wave every wave and doing a 1ft air and falling get up go straight into bottom turn and then decide what to do down the line
No offence mate but I’d way rather try something fun and new, then do a turn I’ve done a thousand times! And you obviously can’t tell from the video, but I’m going way too fast to go to the bottom and do a full turn on most of those racey ones. But I appreciate the criticism 🤙🏽

It is winter here right now. We had some 6m stuff about a week ago. It’s a shame we haven’t had too much of the bigger stuff this winter though.
