Do flak have splash? Because I was under the assumption that they didn’t and this was more of an issue of “overkill” from the patriot caused by them having a projectile travel time compared to flak which is instantaneous
@@fuffybear6865 technically the flak air weaponTECHNICALLY has a projectile, it's just invisible. You will notice it has a delay to hit when it fires. And it's not like actual Instant hits like gatlings and small-arms fire (to some extent lasers and tesla beams.). Also Flak does have AoE, it's actually smaller than it's actual graphic, it affects the current cell it hits and half a cell in all directions. The Patriot TECHNICALLY also has "splash" but it's like 0.1[sic] around the affected cell it hits.
I myself noticed when I was little, at the moment when the Patriot shoots, the farther the target is from him, the more his missiles do damage. When I was a child, I thought that the rocket had more time to accelerate at a greater distance, so the impact itself was greater. I had my own strategy as a child, I always placed the Patriot far apart so that from any position they would shoot from far away. You won’t believe it, but it really worked, the longer the rocket from the Patriot flies, the more damage it does, the closer the target is to the Patriot, the less damage it does. Here's a paradox...
they don't work that way though. The Flake Cannon though does less damage the further the target is. The patriot missiles can completely miss though unlike Flake Cannons depending on how far and fast and direction of the target.
When I was little, I had an intel GMA 3150 laptop, then there was Windows XP, I played Starsraft, Red Alert 2, and Counter-Strike 1.5, and I did a lot of experiments in Red Alert 2, and I did several discoveries in Red Alert 2, such as the fact that the Computer is always playing with cheats. He always sees the whole map, so it makes no sense to hide from him, he receives money with a code every period of time, because when you send a spy to him where gold is mined, then you get part of his money, 100.000 - 150.000, and this 5 minutes have passed since we started, so little time just could not earn such money. And the last thing I discovered is that the Patriot does more damage at long range than at close range. You can try it yourself and you will see that it is so.
The splash damage of the flack canon makes the difference

@@fuffybear6865 they do
@@fuffybear6865 yes they have

Yes but then again, when is anyone actually gonna mass air like this?
Closing on target!
let's do the Gatlings 😂

But if Patriot missile has to travel far, it takes longer for another missile to be launched.

Well if it fires slower at longer ranges it may have been an attempt to balance for the reduced firerate.
I was surprised the Kirovs did as good as they did considering the anti air guns are specifically designed to beat them.
Due to their speed, mobile anti-air is more preferable.

Always bunch your Flack Cannons.
