You gotta love how windwaker is considered a cute game but yet has the most brutal death with Toon Link driving the Master Sword into GANONDORF'S FOREHEAD!!!
Then again, tp ganondorf got impaled in the stomach, survived that, impaled in the stomach again, then had his neck snapped with someone’s FREAKING MIND. That’s pretty brutal too.
Out of all of Demise's reincarnations, Calamity Ganon is the most terrifying in terms of legend, appearance and threat, gameplay aside. Ganon in Twilight Princess was the most badass and intimidating. So prideful in his strength that even in death, being the only Ganon who truly was killed and not sealed away, he refused to fall to his knees and submit to defeat.
@@monkeman7806 pretty much... was gonna say then why is it in the adult Link timeline, Ganondorf comes back for WW, but a different villain is in both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks
i think what makes the TP ganon death the best is the atmosphere. it's melancholy and it's gruesome: there is no glowing magic beam "sealing him away". there is no magic team effort. link had quite literally drove his sword into this man's chest, and even then, Ganondorf attempts to get up. he's nothing if not prideful, which makes that final vision of zant taunting him all the more unnerving. and then, when ganondorf finally gives out, he remains still as a statue and link and zelda shift uncomfortably as if to process what they'd done. not to mention the lack of music (for the most part) and the dark lighting set this scene up to just be unsettling in an epic way.
Link and the Master Sword defeated and killed Ganondorf. A vision of Zant snapping his own neck made Ganondorf realize that his puppet was already dead. Link bravely killed him with the Ending Blow ta stop him, and ta save the two worlds, not Zant. Midna was probably unconscious, but she was revived. Link ran to her, and was surprised ta see her true form. Then, he was happy 'cause she was safe.
Runobaz Yeah when Link stepped forward he was thinking"Soo uhhh do we just let him stand here and die slowly and can I take my sword back now?" It was just awkward silence xD

I think the things I love most about Twilight Princess' ending is: 1.) Ganondorf's prideful standing death, refusing to fall to his death 2.) The proximity between Zelda and Link (both of which hold the Triforce of Wisdom and Courage, respectively) versus that of Ganondorf, whose triforce (Power) disappeared from his hand, leaving him unequal to the other two. -Also, take a look at the background behind all three characters. Ganondorf is in front of the dark red and black clouds, while Link and Zelda are in front of the green and blue sky 3.) Zelda and Link's respectful mourning of his death, despite having just defeated him
I agree, each of the Zelda games I've played have something unique that stands out from that's different from the others. Like for example, OoT is the best one for its recognizable music for me, but doesn't necessarily have the best storyline, that would have to be Twilight Princess. Again it's a matter of opinion but that's how I feel about the games, they're each so special.
I neglected to play it when it came out and thought there's no way it can come close to Ocarina of Time, then later I played it, it was better than I thought, worth playing, I should not have skipped over it back then.
What many people seem to overlook is that Calamity Ganon perfectly fit for Breath Of The Wild. Sure they could have made him more difficult, but I think the great Conclusion of the story more than made up for it. The game already had some though bossfights and I loved the cinematic ending. Also, I would have loved to see him in his "human" form, but I was also perfectly fine with him just being a scary force of evil. Breath Of The Wild is definetly one of the best games I have ever played
In my had I imagine his expression there was a mix of confused and in pain, shocked he could go down so simply. Paralyzed, the monstrous mess of Ganon's pain, mixed with hate and distorted after years of ressurection and resurrection, Ganon dies standing. The power of the light arrows consumes his body, and he explodes
"Where is Skyward Sword?" DEMISE is not Ganondorf neither Ganon. Yes, his hatred reincarnated in the form of the Gerudo king, but it's not the same person, not the same being.
Why does skyward sword have to be so underated :( one of my fav zelda games and literally half the people who have played botw probably dont know what it is :(
"Ughnn... Heh heh... The wind.... It is blowing..." That quote was just.. intimidating.. and it fit very well with the theme of the game. It sent shivers down from head to toe when i witnessed it on the Wii U
DeAd 101 Honestly I thought that quote at the end was amazing because it was juxtaposed from his initial monologue perfectly... he talks about how his country, his homeland, that vast desert wasteland, was only given death by the winds that blew from the heavens. Whereas Hyrule Field was given no such treatment- the wind only gave it life. Ganon coveted it, as he said. He wanted it for himself, which is why he so desperately wanted to take power for himself in Hyrule. And yet even this is taken from him after he is defeated at the hands of the Hero of Time. And here he is, many years later, once again defeated by the young hero in green, thwarted in his attempt to claim the wind of life that blesses Hyrule. As he takes his final breath, he makes the reference to the wind- not that merciful wind that blows over Hyrule and all its inhabitants, but the wind of death that he was born in, that he has tasted since he was a mere child. The winds of death were blowing indeed, as he met his demise and drew his last ever breath in the adult timeline, buried in the land he craved to hold dominion over for all time, never to meet the hero in battle again.
I understand that people missed Gannondorf but I really liked that Ganon didn't have a human form in Breath of the Wild. It made it all the more evil, a monster that was just pure evil power that couldn't be reasoned with. Hopefully we'll see Gannondorf in the next instalment though.
Elijah-Aaron Rowan It was the whole point of Ganon in BotW. Ganon wasn't a person, it was a calamity, a force of nature almost. I must preferred Ganon as an entity this time round.
Ganondorf being a human has always been easy though. Ocarina of time: Tennis energy balls at him. Wind Waker: Reflect light arrows at him. Twilight Prince: Roll behind him. When he took Dark Beast Ganon form it's just a victory lap to listen to some awesome music and feel like a badass; Calamity Ganon as complex and difficult ganon fight as we've got to date, having to combine flurries, parries and archery.
Imagine being so hardcore you have a sword specifically crafted to kill you driven into the wound given to you when demigods tried and failed to murder you only to die standing up. In terms of sheer power and terror, TP Ganon takes the cake.
I think there was no implosion for a good reason. In a Malice implosion, Malice scatters everywhere. If Dark Beast Gannon were to implode and spew Malice everywhere, it wouldn't give as good an impression of closure and "it's over", rather than if Gannon was just sealed away.
Plus the reason why the fight was so anticlimactic is because everything isn't there.in almost every zelda game we fight or meet ganondorf beforehand . It seems calamity ganon wasn't the real ganon as per the sequel of botw
Twilight Princess. The most satisfying kill in the franchise. Ganon is not only stabbed in the stomach, but is finished by the person he betrayed (who also snaps his own neck to do so)
Wõlf 77 He is being restrained by Zelda so the Plot Armor is High in Breath of The Wild. And also its impossible for you to hit the beast of the embodiment of malice and hatred.
XxxJim the ReaperxxX I'm just saying it would of been better to fight him if he had two more attacks other than his hyperbeam, like maybe summon a couple of monsters. It was still a great boss fight either way.
Personally, I would've gone with some more variations on his dark energy attacks, like a shockwave from his stomps or a rain of energy bolts from his mane. I agree that he has to exude pure animalistic mindlessness to fit with the lore, but it IS kind of anticlimactic that the hardest part of Dark Beast Ganon's battle is aiming your Bow of Light to shoot the glowing spots (and the giant eye at the end).
SliverEmperor Dark Beast Ganon in BoTW is just a being of Pure Malice. Its just Demise's Spirit Form that is hellbent on destroying everything. Its weaker because you killed the Original Ganondorf in Twilight Princess.
Since when Link time travels in MM, the Termina he leaves will not just stop existing...so by the end of the game, he'd have doomed dozens of Terminas to die by moonfall just to save one. And a lot of lives are ruined before Link can even do anything. MM is more dark, and no other zelda game (except maybe BotW) comes close.
@@joeynordman9642 termina is an incarnation of skullkids mind, after defeating majoras mask skull kid is back to his childish, pure from. Termina is locked in a time cycle of the three days, yet links breaks it and deleting the moon disaster from time thus making a new day rise. Termina was already doomed many times before link arrived.
Ganon's fight in breath of the wild was amazing but it got my a bit disappointed as well Ganon didnt showed his human form and i was dying to see it he didn't even said a word UPDATE: many people have explained this to me and i understand now, i just forgot for a moment that Ganon and Ganondorf are not the same living thing (?) if that makes sense w/e and that ganon just gave up on his human form so thats why he showed up like this. Thanks ! :) BTW i'm not dissapointed about the fight it was easy cause i was prepared for it but it was amazing. I still prefer TP ganondorf fight tho.
Elaborating on Dissius's explanation: *SPOILERS BELOW!!!* At his core, Ganon has always been a physical incarnation of Demise's dying curse from the end of _Skyward Sword_; an embodiment of hatred and evil that hounds Link and Zelda throughout their many reincarnations. But the version we see in _Breath of the Wild_ has abandoned anything resembling humanity or even sentience, becoming a literal force of pure evil that only exists to destroy Hyrule by sheer force of dark power. Basically, he's Giygas from _Earthbound_; more of a force of nature than a living thing, consumed by his own overwhelming might to become destruction incarnate. In other words, Ganon didn't show his human form because it _doesn't exist_ anymore. Heck, even the colossal demon-boar he becomes in the final battle is just a physical manifestation of all his concentrated evil energy.
They should just create a emulator for every console, release old games on the eshop, and give it to you for free if you bought it earlier when linking to the same account. But no, more money.
I think twilight Princess and Wind Waker are fine. I'd like to see OoT and MM reworked, as well as the Oracle Games, Minish Cap and Link between Worlds on switch
all the deaths summed up in 10 words or less Zelda 1: hardware limitations Link to the past: less hardware limitations Ocarina of time: epic and ominous as fuck Ages/Seasons: story based hardware limitations Wind waker: YES! TAG TEAM THAT ough, right between the eyes, sweet 4 swords: reverse stardust breaker Twilight princess: somber, dark, and unforgettable Hyrule warriors: hard fought and earned Breath of the wild: oh this is gonna be *poof*...WHAT!
All are great, but I love how Ganondorf speaks poetically in Windwaker before the battle gets going. It's so tragic and makes him sympathetic evil. Lots of good stories have a sympathetic villain, but to pull off sympathetic evil is truly an achievement
Will need to redo this because the King of Evil Ganondorf is back in the sequel to Breath of the Wild and he is going to be much worse than Calamity Ganon.
According to the Zelda Timelines, Ganon and both Ganondorfs from ALttP, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are all the Ganondorf from Ocarina of Time, since he was only sealed away in OoT. I always thought that was pretty cool.
@@clark5317 what about calamity ganon? That, in my opinion, was a machine created by Ganon using guardian parts, his own hair, and his own evil energy, creating malice. Dark Beast Ganon was the OoT, TP, and TWW Ganondorf
@@dr.memes2156 For all we know Calamity Ganon is just another form of Ganondorf. Dark Beast Ganon from OoT and TP is just an alternate form of Ganondorf. Same person. Ganondorf from WW is OoT Ganondorf.
Pxte Me, too. Surely there's a way to break demise's curse without letting Ganon resort to... whatever soulless, pitiable blob Calamity Ganon is. But at least Ganon can be pitied in Breath of the Wild. But if you ask me, I'd love to see a more lighthearted Zelda game end with Link doing the usual stab death, then have one of his allies nab the triforce from Ganon, Link, and Zelda, then "betraying" Link and Zelda by trying to use the triforce to destroy herself along with the triforce, but then getting talked out of it and having the triforce flung into a comet or something, no self-sacrifice required. It would be funny if the "betrayal" would be averted via Link using reverse psychology to cause the triforce to summon the comet that the triforce would be used to redirect. Yes, I overthink potentially awesome plots for nonexistent Zelda games sometimes.
Pxte Didn't Urbosa say a comment about Ganon being related to their race? Correct me if I'm wrong because the story of Ganon in this game is sort of confusing to me. It's when Urbosa activates the divine laser that she says a comment about Calamity Ganon.
Daniel328 DT Yeah, she says something along the lines of 'The Legends say that Ganon once took the form of a gerudo, this will make revenge taste even sweeter'
Monarchsub X does that mean that zelda is as string as the six mages now? if so then link and zelda's child would be badass with two triforce, the master sword, and the ability to abliterate Gannon.
My god, Twilight Princess ganondorf had the most prideful and chilling death out of all of these. And the fight against ganondorf in tp is also amazing, He actually blocks your attacks and what not, and it's like dueling a real person. I can't explain how well made TP is, from the story, to the visuals, to the battles, and even the soundtrack! Definitely my all time favorite zelda game!
Dude Hamburger for Ganon sounds like cannibalism (cuz ham is from pigs, and boar is a type of pig, and Ganon is a Boar Monster...meaning not "beef" hamburger)
Wind waker definitely had my favorite ganon death, the tag team between link and zelda reflecting the light arrow from the mirror shield followed by link just *burying* the master sword in ganons head is just cool af
I mean.. tp ganondorf survived: getting stabbed (and then he kills one of the people that stabs him), banished to the twilight realm, minda with the infused shadow, wolf or human link hitting his weak spot, getting shot by a load of silver arrows, stabbed in the place he was stabbed earlier by the master sword, literally the triforce of power leaves him, then and only then does zant kill him AND HE STAYS STANDING
Ganon never seems to die laying down. He’s typically on his knees or standing as he’s sealed away or killed. Him dying on his feet in TP is especially epic. And I love the awesome might of Zelda’s power in BOTW
Yeah but what I was saying is, in Ocarina Of Time. He did not die like he did in Wind Waker or in Twilight Princess. He just got sealed into the sacred realm. You see? As he is getting sealed away, he says "Someday when this seal is broken, that is when I will exterminate you're descendants!" Do you see what I am saying? While in Wind Waker he gets turned to stone, then in Twilight Princess he dies standing up after getting stabbed in the chest by the master sword. But yeah, I know that he always comes back to life, I've always figured that even if you kill Ganon, he won't be gone for good. But I just hope you understand what I was saying about him not dying in Ocarina Of Time.
I know this is a 4 month old post I'm replying to but... This doesn't show the whole story for WW. He didn't die there. He was also sealed away. In my opinion, WW has the most perfect ending because of the fact that he becomes unsealed when the sword is pulled. If Ganon or Ganondorf exists, then so does the Master Sword. If Ganon(dorf) doesn't exist, that means the sword is keeping him sealed. One can't exist without the other. It's pure beauty.

He had a splitting headache for sure

I understand that people missed Gannondorf but I really liked that Ganon didn't have a human form in Breath of the Wild. It made it all the more evil, a monster that was just pure evil power that couldn't be reasoned with. Hopefully we'll see Gannondorf in the next instalment though.
Elijah-Aaron Rowan it's been 10 years since we've had a Ganondorf
Elijah-Aaron Rowan It was the whole point of Ganon in BotW. Ganon wasn't a person, it was a calamity, a force of nature almost. I must preferred Ganon as an entity this time round.
I completely agree with you :) It added a much different feel to the game.
But in that form He's not a real challenge. I would like him, after the Calamity Ganon form, to take a human form and fight smarty in a 1 on 1 duel.
4:53 when you drop your phone and its cracked
Let's make sure he never cracks his phone then.
I want to see someone make a 1 hour version of that clip xD

TP Ganon has the best Death scene of all the games...
TheXtrendonAndroid TP is awesome
As awesome in death as he was in life
I agree it was well made... but MGS 3 final boss death scene felt more meaningful.
Gabriel Aponte He’s talking best of all Zelda games
Wind Waker?
Imagine being so hardcore you have a sword specifically crafted to kill you driven into the wound given to you when demigods tried and failed to murder you only to die standing up. In terms of sheer power and terror, TP Ganon takes the cake.
Im so glad i grew up on twilight princess...
Twilight Princess was badass. Breath of the Wild is epic but a little anticlimactic. I was expecting an implode after sealing Ganon away.
Ganon is not only stabbed in the stomach, but is finished by the person he betrayed (who also snaps his own neck to do so)
Who is that person he betrayed? (Dont know bout the zelda mythology)
@@jibm4402 it's zant
Link killed him, not Zant, 'cause he's dead. Snapping his own neck was to mock his master.
I wish the fight for dark beast ganon was more tougher
Wõlf 77
He is being restrained by Zelda so the Plot Armor is High in Breath of The Wild.
No, a mindless primal beast CANNOT summon enemies.
SliverEmperor
Dark Beast Ganon in BoTW is just a being of Pure Malice. Its just Demise's Spirit Form that is hellbent on destroying everything. Its weaker because you killed the Original Ganondorf in Twilight Princess.
4:46 the look on Ganondorfs face basically says, “Damn it. Not Again!!!!”
Twilight princess was darker than all of the zelda games
no
Nahh there isn't a zelda game as dark as majoras mask, TP was just bizzare
Since when Link time travels in MM, the Termina he leaves will not just stop existing...so by the end of the game, he'd have doomed dozens of Terminas to die by moonfall just to save one. And a lot of lives are ruined before Link can even do anything. MM is more dark, and no other zelda game (except maybe BotW) comes close.
I don't know, I love TP and I agree that it's dark bit MM is definitely darker
@@joeynordman9642 termina is an incarnation of skullkids mind, after defeating majoras mask skull kid is back to his childish, pure from.

Termina was already doomed many times before link arrived.
Ganon's fight in breath of the wild was amazing but it got my a bit disappointed as well
Ganon didnt showed his human form and i was dying to see it he didn't even said a word
UPDATE: many people have explained this to me and i understand now, i just forgot for a moment that Ganon and Ganondorf are not the same living thing (?) if that makes sense w/e and that ganon just gave up on his human form so thats why he showed up like this. Thanks ! :)
BTW i'm not dissapointed about the fight it was easy cause i was prepared for it but it was amazing. I still prefer TP ganondorf fight tho.
They explained it. Over the years, Ganon ceased to seek a physical body for a trade off of pure power, his rage. Zelda warns of this.
Jaime Mieses now we just need link to speak
Elaborating on Dissius's explanation: *SPOILERS BELOW!!!*
At his core, Ganon has always been a physical incarnation of Demise's dying curse from the end of _Skyward Sword_; an embodiment of hatred and evil that hounds Link and Zelda throughout their many reincarnations.
I also thought only the master sword could seal it but Zelda did it this time
Do you think he will come back again? Or he's gone forever now?
Link "speaks" already we just don't listen to him hahaha
I prefer the end of Twilight Princess ☺
Elyséa LARUE

I think they should remake twilight princess on the switch with better controls. Also they should remake wind waker etc
Layla Samuels wind waker was already remade but i get what you mean
They should just create a emulator for every console, release old games on the eshop, and give it to you for free if you bought it earlier when linking to the same account. But no, more money.
I think twilight Princess and Wind Waker are fine. I'd like to see OoT and MM reworked, as well as the Oracle Games, Minish Cap and Link between Worlds on switch
It would be cool if they make a remake of skyward sword

Ocarina of time: epic and ominous as fuck
Ages/Seasons: story based hardware limitations
Wind waker: YES! TAG TEAM THAT ough, right between the eyes, sweet
4 swords: reverse stardust breaker

Hyrule warriors: hard fought and earned
Breath of the wild: oh this is gonna be *poof*...WHAT!

Ah yes, I will *breathe* in the wild.
According to the Zelda Timelines, Ganon and both Ganondorfs from ALttP, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are all the Ganondorf from Ocarina of Time, since he was only sealed away in OoT. I always thought that was pretty cool.

I was actually disappointed that they didn't Have Ganondorf in Breath of the wild.
Pxte Wouldn't have made any sense for Ganondorf to be there
i sort of understand what you mean, as he was never mentioned in the previous scenes

The twilight princess one is disturbing, after being stabbed ganondorf is literally screaming in agony of the amount of pain he's in.

“NO! NOT INTO THE PIT! IT BUUUUUURNS!”
Wind waker definitely had my favorite ganon death, the tag team between link and zelda reflecting the light arrow from the mirror shield followed by link just *burying* the master sword in ganons head is just cool af
4:55 constipated Ganondorf
Twilight was just creepy yet the most badass
2:39 I never quite realized how similar the music for descending into Hyrule castle for the first time in Wind Waker is to this
I mean.. tp ganondorf survived: getting stabbed (and then he kills one of the people that stabs him), banished to the twilight realm, minda with the infused shadow, wolf or human link hitting his weak spot, getting shot by a load of silver arrows, stabbed in the place he was stabbed earlier by the master sword, literally the triforce of power leaves him, then and only then does zant kill him AND HE STAYS STANDING
Ganon never seems to die laying down. He’s typically on his knees or standing as he’s sealed away or killed. Him dying on his feet in TP is especially epic. And I love the awesome might of Zelda’s power in BOTW
Everybody gangster until Ganondorf starts screaming in pain

But he did not die in Ocarina Of Time. He just got sealed away.
