I love watching her dad. Such pride, love,joy in his expressions. The tears he sheds from his heart. Men or dads are always so strong and dont show their family them crying. He can not contain his love for his daughter. The rest of the family also but his is just so heartwarming. Reminds me of my own fathers love for his children. She was amazing. I cant quit watching this clip.

It is sad that she was eliminated by Demi, mostly because she had a bad song pick in the camp rounds. I don’t know if she picked it or the producers forced her to do that song. There have been rumors for years that the producers often make certain contestants sing song that don’t fit their voices to get them eliminated to push other contestants ahead. I don’t think that Simone would have eliminated her, even if she had a bad song that week by considering how good this audition was. Unfortunately, she ended up in the Girls group which was the group Demi had chosen. I know that if I were a judge I wouldn’t have eliminated her because she picked a song that really didn’t show off her smokey sultry voice that week and especially if a producer picked the song for her. You could tell her father was crushed by her elimination. He was so emotional during this audition, I just had to relate to him. If I had a daughter, I know that I would have spoiled her, but in a good way, not the disrespectful kind of spoiled, but the way you can see she loves her father and has a special relationship with him. Simone is very close with her father and vise versa. Her father was the first person she hugged coming off stage. I wish we would have gotten to see more from Simone. She was eliminated far too soon because of Demi, who doesn’t have enough vision to see how good she was on this audition and able to dismiss the one weak performance she had. It was still good, it just wasn’t her type of music. The kind of music that fits her R&B type of roots and not a pop singer. That’s not what Simone is. She is a soft rock and R&B singer all of the way.
I want to hear her voice all over the radio instead of the crap the local radio stations. What an awesome soulful talented person, and a breath of fresh air!!
I can’t understand why she didn’t get the golden buzzer. That was the most beautiful, sexy rendition of Funny Valentine that I have ever heard. I can almost hear her on a record label. And she is a delightful person as well and beautiful. I can visualize her singing in a night club, she’s the whole package and I replayed it over and over!

I know this was 10 yrs ago but, this young sweet girl comes out on stage happy, excited and the judges are rude. How dare Simon ask if her parents are "happily married"? Simon has soften up so he's not so nasty now...She was a great young girl and singer!!
as another post suggested, Simone should go audition for The Voice, if she hasn't made any headway with her singing career. She would have finished college by now, so she has time on her side still. Good luck to her.
I so remember this rendition of Pickett's "Mustang Sally", especially her dad's reaction to Simon's critique as also dad's rhythm as she sang :). 2 thumbs up (in Anna Nicole voice)
This girl can definitely sanggg.... She needs a good team of people who can make her marketable to the right audience and she could do big things in the music industry. Her voice is sick but the X-Factor definitely did get wrong. She should go to the Voice.
